Chapter 445 You’re Lying

Ronan stared at Evan, his eyes wide open, filled with anger. He let his dissatisfaction show, fully and unapologetically. The two of them stood there, facing each other. Tensions rose. It seemed like they could start fighting at any moment.
Freya approached Elijah and whispered, “Now, it’s important to bring our child back. We can settle the score later.”
She wanted to calm the situation. It was a wise choice. To let Ronan be exposed wouldn’t benefit them in any way. After all, their child was still in his hands, and they had to consider that.
Evan wasn’t usually an impulsive person, but he felt that Ronan was shameless. Freya and Elijah were already married and had a child. Yet, Ronan still wanted to interfere. When Freya rejected him, he held a grudge. What kind of logic was that?
“Evan.” Elijah called him over. “Come here.”
Evan stepped back.
Ronan felt victorious. But he still stubbornly insisted on making Freya apologize.
Freya was adaptable; she could bend and stretch. “I apologize to you.”
Ronan still felt dissatisfied, but when he saw the child in her arms, he reluctantly accepted it. He left in a huff. He had kept Freya’s child at the Stratos City subsidiary maternity hospital all this time. When this hospital was first established, it was funded by the Edwards family. So he placed the child there for care, not worried about the staff’s lack of dedication or the risk of exposure. Even his newlywed wife had no idea he was raising a child there.
The lights in the corridor were bright and white. As they walked further in, Freya’s heart grew more and more excited. Her steps became unsteady. Elijah held her hand. His palm was broad, warm, and comforting. Gradually, Freya’s emotions settled down. Soon, Ronan pushed open a door. Inside, there were nurses responsible for taking care of the babies. As soon as they saw him, one of the nurses said, “The baby’s recovery is going well…”
But the nurse stopped midway when they saw someone behind Ronan, afraid of saying something wrong, they quietly stepped aside.
Ronan pointed, “Over there.”
Freya handed Ronan’s child to the nurse and hurriedly walked towards the incubator. She looked at the tiny baby inside, unable to tell who they resembled. Their skin had a reddish hue, and they were peacefully sleeping with closed eyes. Freya felt her eyes welling up with tears, and her chest felt tight, making it hard for her to breathe. She pressed down forcefully, trying to ease her breathing. Elijah gently patted her shoulder. Freya cried and laughed, overwhelmed with mixed emotions; her heart was in turmoil.

The paternity test results for Chelsea and Luna’s father were finally out. Orion sat alone in a room, staring at the test report. His gaze unwavering–Chelsea Ramirez was Luna.
But why didn’t Luna recognize herself? What could be the reason? Was it intentional? Or did she genuinely lose her memory?
Only the couple who runs the guesthouse would know. Orion put away the test report and gathered himself before leaving the room. Now that it was confirmed, he couldn’t ignore it. He had to find her and figure out how she ended up in that family.
At this time, Chelsea had already gone to work. Only the couple was at home. The woman was still polite and had a good impression of Orion, probably because he was generous. He paid a month’s rent, left without asking for any recommendations.
She was initially uneasy. And now that he was here again, she asked, “Are you still going to continue living here?” This way, they would feel assured about the rent.
Orion didn’t answer; the rent was insignificant to him. He got straight to the point. “Is Chelsea your biological daughter?”
The woman was taken aback but she responded, “Yes.”
“You’re lying.”
Orion exposed the truth.
