Author’s POV
Somewhere in the forest was a beautiful woman sitting on a rock biting her fingernails. She looked anxious. Her beautiful eyes beamed up to an eerie cerulean glow light that materialized into sight.
What took you so long? Did you find anything? She desperately asked. Cool down woman. I’m here now. The peculiar voice from the glow replied.
Things are getting intricated out there Luciana. You need to act soon because your sister is just a few inches away to get into that house. Luciana became so nervous that she started biting her fingernails again.
Biting your fingers won’t solve anything. Think quickly and act. The voice said. ” Why don’t we summon Catriona’s soul!” She is one of my sister’s main targets. Luciana said.
We can’t summon her now. The mysterious voice said. Why? Luciana asked, her facials questioning.
The mysterious voice exhaled. You’re not going to like this. Your hot alpha marked that girl. Luciana stared into the glow, prolonged.
“Already!” She asked, trying not to show the hurt in her tone.
“Yes. Already! What did you expect? She’s his woman. He had to mark her sooner or later. The voice said.
Okay, I get it. Enough of the marking talk. I’m glad it’s her and not my sister. I’d have felt worse the rest of my spectral life if he marked my sister. Luciana said.
But you didn’t tell me the reason we can’t summon her! She asked.
That girl is in your hot alpha’s boundaries. And I can’t cross it. The voice answered. Luciana bit her fingers again in flustered. She seemed to understand what the peculiar voice had said. If we summon her, that hot alpha will instantly sense it because of the strong bond they have now.
A thought popped into Luciana’s head because the facial expression on her mug changed. Why don’t you go back and put her into sleep without breaking that boundary. If you put her to sleep Jayden will think he had closed the boundaries when he actually didn’t. And that is where I will squeeze in.
That is risky Luciana.

Luciana looked very hurt at the peculiar voice’s words but spoke up…
I won’t let what my sister did to me happen to her. You know I can’t cross into the world of the living. The only way to get to her is by passing through Jayden’s boundary. Don’t worry, I will be brief with what I want to tell her. I just need to warn her about my sister. You saw what she did. confronting her using someone else’s body. And that girl’s heart is very soft, she’s soon going to fall into my sister’s trap. Luciana ejaculated.
Okay, I heard you. I’m leaving now and will put her to sleep. The voice uttered as the glow faded out. Luciana sat back on her rock recalling the moment she summoned Catriona’s soul and how things went and ended. Will that girl recognise me and everything that happened? She self-asked.
Back at the pack house in Jayden’s bedroom, the eree glow light filled the whole room but none of the two lovers seemed to be cognizant of its presence. The glow diminished slowly as the word “sleep” reverberated into the room in a whisper. Catriona’s eyes that were locked into Jayden’s with tears streaming down from them started closing slowly. As Luciana and her mystery friend guessed, Jayden didn’t suspect anything. He just carried catriona after staring at her for a long moment before he carefully laid her down on bed. He furrowed his brows in confusion when he checked where he had bitten her.
“Why hasn’t it closed yet?” He murmured to himself.
Because its the only bridge for your lovable ex mate to save your perfect ass from your other evil ex mate. The voice indicated and then groaned revoltedly when Jayden half shifted and started licking Catriona’s open wound.
You can’t do that infront of me hot alpha. The voice bleated.
When Jayden’s saliva didn’t make a change on Catriona’s wound he became more and more curious, filling his head with many question on where he did wrong by marking her.
Liciana managed to get into Jayden’s memory and found catriona on her haunches snivelling at the sight of two dead bodies and of course for the pain little Jayden was in.
Hey! Luciana cooed.
Catriona looked up and jumped up in surprise. You! What are you doing here? Wait, am I dreaming? She asked.
Kind of a thing. But let’s not go there because I don’t have much time here. So, don’t ask or say anything and just listen to what I have to say. First of all I’m called Luciana… I remember that very well. Catriona said snively. Good, I assumed so. I also have a sister and her name is Sofia. If you do remember very well she was that wolf that wanted to attack you. In my dream! Catriona asked. Exactly. Luciana replied. I didn’t want to hurt your feelings last time but I was once Jayden’s love too.
Alright, so why are you telling me, Wait, What do you mean by saying “too?” Are there other women I must know? Yes but the main point here is my sister Sofia.
Sofia was Jayden’s first true love and mate before she betrayed him. I won’t go into details but I want to warn him and you of course.
Is it something bad he or we should be worried about? Catriona asked.
Yes catriona. The ghost girl that bearded you broodingly for help is actually Sofia. She took advantage of that poor girl’s weak body and disguised herself in it. She’s using black magic with the help of someone I don’t know from the pack house. What scares me now is that the girl she’s using will not make it. So her next plan is to use her peer friend’s body. Once she does that I won’t be able to stop her. So my question to you is, do you by chance have anyone you don’t get along with in that house? If you do please tell me. In that case I’ll be able to tell the person that is helping my sister.
After everything that Luciana said, Catriona just laughed it off because her mind was telling her she’s in a dream and dreams aren’t reality.
The two women averted their eyes to a sobbing boy (Jayden)…
Come on little wolf, stop crying like a three year old kid over trivial things. Those were your parents, I can see that very well and I’m not sorry for draining them dead because I couldn’t hold my hunger anymore. But you have me now and from today onwards, you’re my son. So son, as for me your father, I’m always a busy man. I won’t have time for you. So what I will do is hand you into the good people that owe me. They’ll raise you on my behalf. Trust me son, you will thank me later. The vampire said.
How could a human being be this cruel? Catriona asked, her heart torn.
He’s a vampire, not a human being. Luciana asserted.
The vampire’s phone rang and spaced himself away from the boy to take the call. Luciana shadowed behind him as catriona scooched down to the little Jayden.
“It’s painful right?” Hang in there, you’ll get through this. Catriona declared. She brought her hands to nestle him but a scream from Luciana startled her.
Don’t make any physical contact with him. Luciana screamed. This is not a dream as your mind ruminates. Please, keep your hands off him. Luciana deadpanned.
Catriona went on with her mind’s beliefs and touched him anyway. The little Jayden raised his teary blue eyes and stared into hers.
“Who are you?” He asked.
I’m not a bad person Jayden. I’m your very good friend and am here to help you.
How do you know my name? He asked again.
Catriona! Get out of here now. Luciana screamed again, and this time the scream got the vampire’s attention that he seemed to sense their presence. Luciana started retreating backwardly terrified.
Jayden, run. Run away from that man. Catriona cried to him but he was just confused. Luciana grabbed her hand and pulled her on her feet. Open your eyes woman. This is not real. Okay, this is Jayden but you can’t change his past. I can’t leave him alone. He needs me. Catriona pleaded and tried to shrug off Luciana’s grip but stopped astounded when Jayden started vanishing slowly. Everything around them was vanishing away and the murk advancing.
What is happening? Catriona asked. She looked into the distance and made contact with the vampire. He was vanishing too with a smug face that gave catriona a chill. You have to get back into that house to where your dream started from…. Shit, shit, shit, shit, the house is fading so fast. The clock is counting, save your ass by getting inside. Luciana orated. ” What about you?” Catriona asked. I’m already dead and told you what I wanted. But promise me that you’ll protect yourself. I know Jayden can do that but he won’t always be there. And please be careful with the people around you. Luciana said.
Dead or not I’m not leaving you behind. Catriona said and with that she dragged her inside with her and fell down on the hard floor before the house vanished completely.
Catriona Snapped her eyes open and uttered a yelp as she touched her neck. Jayden, Jerome, Vanessa and the girl from the immortal witches surrounded her with their worried faces.
Vannesa you’re a witch. Say something about the mark. Why does the wound still open? Jayden asked. I have no idea how the marking things work because this is my first time seeing an alpha’s mark. I will ease the pain she’s in and we can find a solution after. Vannesa exclaimed and muttered something while moving her hand over Catriona’s neck.
Catriona stopped yelping but the wound still didn’t close and looked worse. Someone waved their hands in front of her to get her attention. Catriona responded and was dazed when Luciana was in the same room with her.
