CATRIONA
“Mr Gabriel…. “What are you doing at my house? “How did you come to know my house?” I asked him, immensely astonished.
“Did you even give him your home address? Jayden asked me, pulling me behind him protectively. I didn’t reply to him. I tried to come out of his back but he pushed me back again behind him. “Jayden, why are you hiding me behind you? He thinks I’m going to gobble you up. Gabriel said. I just arched my eyebrows confusedly. But you didn’t answer me on how you knew my address? I asked Gabriel, peering my head out of Jayden’s tall figure.
He knows very well how I knew your address. He said, his eyes pinned on Jayden.
What do you think you’re doing Gabe? Jayden asked him through clenched teeth trying with his might to hide his wrath. I came to see my mate and take her with me to my world. Gabriel said. Gabe, don’t start now. Jayden gutturaled.
What mate are you talking about? Who’s your mate? I asked him and just smiled with his eyes still glued on Jayden’s.
Pumpkin, aren’t you going to invite me inside? As you can see, the weather is not good. And I don’t think that you’d feel good when I get hypothermia. He said while shivering. I glared at him warily, not sure whether he’s faking it or not. Jayden scoffed.
Yeah, you’re right. It’s super cold outside. Come on in. I gestured to him.
Don’t even think about it. Jayden rumbled. Gabriel ignored him and entered with force brushing Jayden’s shoulder lightly. I slightly stumbled backwards but steadied myself. I came out of Jayden’s back and closed the door as Jayden clasped Gabriel’s hand stopping him from going further. Gabriel shook free from Jayden’s clasp and turned his attention to me.
I’m sorry pumpkin for coming uninvited or unannounced, but i couldn’t wait any other minute when i finally found you. He said.
Please, I’d prefer it if you called me by my name. “Not pumpkin.” I exclaimed.
I’m sorry but I’ll not change, on how I call you pumpkin. I love calling you pumpkin because you’re my sweet pumpkin. My sweet pumpkin I’ve been waiting for- for thirty years. He said.
What nonsense are you talking about? I asked him and gave Jayden a side glance. Jayden was silent and I started feeling uneasy. UHM….. Mr Gabriel, I really appreciate the kindness you showed me. Am really grateful. But we both don’t know each other that well for you to just come to my house out of the blue when I didn’t even give you my address. Don’t you see that it’s a little bit creepy?
No pumpkin, it’s not creepy. And you don’t have to thank me for helping you. It was my responsibility and my pleasure to help you. And don’t forget that I told you that my good friend Jayden knows how I knew your address.
I turned around to the silent Jayden, I opened my mouth to ask him if he was the one who gave Gabriel my address but he cut me off by saying he didn’t and that I won’t understand any of it because I’m human. I was now annoyed by his sudden attitude. ” Jayden….
Don’t mind him pumpkin. He’s a little jealous because am here to take you to where you belong. And that is my kingdom.
I opened my mouth to say something to him and that’s when I heard the twigs of breaking branches. And trust me it was loud and disturbing to my ears. Where did they come from? I don’t remember having a tree plant in my house. I don’t even plant flowers indoors.
I steadily turned around and stopped short when I came face to face with a huge gray wolf. It pinned it’s eyes on me.
I’m going to kill this bastard so that he won’t call you pumpkin ever again. Jayden’s voice echoed in my head. I just stared at it wide-eyed, horrified. Before I could regain my composure, I heard the same disturbing sound behind me. I spun around and pinned my eyes on another huge black wolf. It’s eyes glared directly into mine and then bored behind me. I was in the middle of the two huge wolves horrified. I wanted to run away but my legs felt tied together. I darted my eyes from the black wolf to the gray one which is very big. They’re 4- 5 times the normal wolves.
My sweet pumpkin, I gasped and trembled as Gabriel’s voice echoed in my head too. The gray wolf lowered it’s head down and gently pushed me on the nearby couch, away from the middle. “Don’t worry my mate, it ends here. The wolf gazed at me as Jayden’s voice said inside my head again. When I look at it entirely, it looks like the one I saw in my dreams sometimes back. When I recall the dream, it’s totally the same. Yes, it’s the same wolf. It broke it’s gaze from me and lunged on the black wolf. I screamed but clamped my mouth when they growled loudly with their sharp canines out. I covered my ears as I watched the horrific scene of two massive wolves fighting and breaking things in my house. Watching two wolves that aren’t even the normal wolves fighting feels like a deathrow. Am sure my mom is watching now and am certain that she might be terrified as I am right now. If she was here, she would have told me to call the police or she would have grasped my hand and ran me away. But my whole body was glued in one position terror-stricken for me to save myself. My head began spinning because of the scary sounds that were coming out of them. And I suddenly became stupefied.
“Stop…..” I screamed to the top of my lungs praying for them to stop before they kill me with their terrifying growls. There was silence but I could still hear the heavy grave breath coming out of them.
“Please stop….” Don’t ruin my mom’s house. I said to them screaming with my eyes shut and my head down. I heard the same sounds again of the breaking branches. That sound unsettles me.
It’s okey, pumpkin, we are sorry for misbehaving in your presence and in your mother’s house. It wasn’t intentional to hurt you but someone couldn’t take it anymore when he confirmed that am mated to you. Gabriel said. I opened my eyes slowly but closed them again with a gasp. “Why are you both naked? Where are your clothes? I asked them both. They’re ruined. They said at the same time. What do you mean they’re ruined when you had them on your bodies recently before your wild animals came? I told them and heard Gabriel sniggering.
Pumpkin, we are not wild animals, He said. Whatever you are or not, please cover yourselves before I open my eyes.
We will but my clothes are in the car. “Would you please help me and get them for me? Jaden asked. And mine as well pumpkin. Gabriel said too. I slowly got up from the couch with my eyes still closed. I opened them and gaped in shock. What did your wild animals do to my house? It’s a total disaster. Everything is broken. From the picture frames to the dining area. There were cracks on the wall as well which were not there before.
I’m sorry Catriona and am ashamed of myself that you witnessed this. Jayden said. I looked at him and saw blood on his right shoulder and chest. Jayden you’re bleeding. It’s just blood, the wound is healed. He said. I didn’t understand him. I averted my eyes to Gabriel and saw blood on his upper hand and cheek. I was fighting with my eyes from not trailing downwards their nude bodies.
It’s okay pumpkin, you can take a look. Am all yours anyway. Said Gabriel.
Catriona, we have to talk. And don’t forget that we still have a contract between us. Jayden said. What contract are you talking about? Gabriel asked. It’s none of your business Gabe. Just get the hell out of here before we kill each other. Jayden told him.
No, don’t kill each other in my house. What I’ve seen is enough. Please do it elsewhere. The doorbell rang and two men exchanged a look and then gazed at the door. I gazed at the door as well and then back to two vigorous men in my small living room naked. Oh heavenly father, who could that be this time. Am tired of surprises. The door rang again and another two times until I gave up and padded toward it. I slightly opened it halfway. Two police officers whose faces aren’t new to me were the ones at my door.
Miss Catriona, what took you so long to open? Hello officers, how may I help you? I asked awkwardly.
We got a call from one of your neighbors saying that she heard a person’s scream and the growls of a dog inside your house. They said,
“What? Who could say something like that? “Why would I scream? I don’t even own a single dog in my house. If they reported about hearing a dog’s growl or something then it was a lie or else you’re at the wrong address. I told them.
Miss Catriona, this is the address we were given. So, allow us inside. We would like to do our job and inspect your house. We want to make sure that there’s nothing wrong . One officer said.
No officer, you don’t need to enter. Everything is under control. I told him, my hands shaking terribly behind the door.
We can’t leave like this without inspecting. They adamantly insisted. I started panicking with fear when I saw them strolling forward wanting to enter the house.
Hello officers, as she told you, there’s nothing wrong. We were just having a good time together because of the weather but you interrupted us. Gabriel said, standing beside me so tall and bare, taking me aback.
