Chapter 147

Book:Call me Alpha Published:2024-6-4

Zeke’s POV
“What are you- Don’t tell me… Fuck you, jerk!” I gave the dead Elon a kick upon realizing that Ashira was fu*cking snatched by him!
“Stop! Please, stop! You killed him! What more do you want?!”
I feel like my blood went to my head from the way she acts right now.
Disgusting.
I held her arms and made her stood up. My eyes leveled with her widened eyes and I can see pain in there.
“Fuck!” I tried shaking her. “He is not your fu*cking mate! Wake up, damn it!”
Her sobs were what I heard before she looked down to Elon and screamed her cries once more.
I shaked her, telling the same thing over and over again but she kept crying like a true widowed woman!
“Fucking hell!”
A hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me away from Ashira.
“Stop, Zeke.”
It was Aiden.
“What? You’re okay with this? She-”
“Everyone!” Aiden screamed towards the crowd who was oblivious of what the fu*ck was already happening because of their bastard Alpha. “The battle ended right before our eyes and the report will be sent to the High Council with clear results.”
“How can you act so calm-”
“For now, welcome your new Alpha. The son of Zeuracious, my cousin, the leader that would reign Ravenous pack with dignity and honor. Zeke!”
Howls and cheer was filled in the Arena but I can’t take my eyes off Aiden, completely ignored the sobs of Ashira on the ground.
“What did you just say-”
“You did well. From now on, you have the responsibility for this pack. Thank you for killing Elon for me.”
“I didn’t killed him for you! And what-”
“You’re the reason why my mate is dead?!” Ashira shouted all of a sudden.
I looked at Aiden and he can’t even look at Ashira. He was facing her but his eyes are looking past her.
“I did.” I saw how his jaws clenched.
“Fuck you!”
Ashira’s palm went on Aiden’s face, making a loud sound and I knew from how his skin went red that it probably stung.
But Aiden’s face didn’t changed at all.
He didn’t look mad, hurt or sad.
It seems he loose the sense of emotion.
Or maybe he is the peak of pain that it won’t add up more.
“You are coming to my pack with me.” is the last word Aiden uttered.
Aiden’s POV
I watched Ashira from afar yet I feel like we are way farther than we already are. She’s been zoning out, looking at nothing without any emotion and then she’ll cry for minutes…or hours.
She had been repeating the same since last night that we arrive to the pack. And it hurts me more.
Elon being her recognized mate already made my knees bent. But seeing her like this sent me straight to hell.
I can’t stand seeing her crying and broken like this but I also can’t take my eyes off her. Even for a second.
“Aiden.”
I didn’t bother to look back, I knew Nick has been lurking around since we got here. Everyone was worried. But I’m beyond them.
I’m afraid.
Scared.
Hopeless.
Each time that I look at Ashira and each narrowed angered eyes look she gave me, I knew I can’t go near her again.
It feels like forever.
Only Lucianna can come near her. The memories she had with me seems to be altered based on Lucianna’s observation. So technically, Ashira don’t remember me.
At all.
“Ash is not eating since we arrive and it’s almost night now.”
Nick is right and it seems to me that my mate is trying to kill herself.
The effects of losing a mate is too much for her, she’s drowning herself into a darkness that didn’t even exist. A darkness made for her to suffer, and for me to die alive.
“Where’s Luce?” I looked back at Ashira and right now she’s crying again, sobbing while hugging her arms in her chest.
I sighed as my heart was pinched by that sight.
“She is with Zynia right now at the basement. Aren’t you supposed to talk with Z?”
“Later.”
I know I need to but I can’t keep my eyes off her. Not now. Not yet.
“You’ve been saying that since last night, Aiden. And you are still not moving from where you stand. Should I ask Zynia to come up?”
“No!”
