“If I went to a hotel with another woman, wouldn’t you be angry?” Brendon asked, his tone low and hot, causing Ranita’s ears to turn red, and her heart uncontrollably raced.
Ranita forced herself to calm down, her voice cool, “You can go if you want, I won’t be angry.”
Brendon sensed the anger in her tone.
“No! I am a mature man with a family, I can’t do such things.” Brendon pleaded for his survival.
“Ranita, are you still angry?” Brendon’s voice was biting as he spoke into her ear, the warmth causing her pores to stand on end.
“My ears are ticklish, back off and speak.” Ranita moved away a bit, her forehead heating up, and her feet becoming weak.
Brendon obediently stepped back a little this time.
However, Ranita didn’t react in time and swayed, nearly falling. Fortunately, Brendon caught her and pulled her into his embrace.
“Can’t stand steady?”
With a teasing tone, Ranita gritted her teeth upon hearing his words.
Ranita glared at him, “No! Ayaan is waiting for me!” Ranita pretended to be calm as she poured water, but upon closer inspection, her fingers were trembling slightly.
Ranita despised herself, wondering why she was so useless! Clearly, she was a mother, but as soon as she was teased, her face turned red and her heart raced. She was truly pathetic.
“The glass is full!” Suddenly, Brendon held her hand.
The warm water splashed onto her fingers, and she quickly recoiled, but her movement was too abrupt, causing the cup to topple and water to spill onto Ranita.
“Be careful!” Brendon quickly pulled her away to avoid the water.
Ayaan, who heard the sound, ran over and curiously asked, “Mommy, Daddy, what happened?”
“It’s alright, mommy accidentally knocked over the glass. You can continue playing!” Ranita quickly explained, but the little one innocently tilted his head and asked, “Mommy, why is your face all red? And your clothes are not in order.”
She wanted to find a hole to hide in!
“It’s hot outside, mommy came back and hasn’t cooled down yet.” Brendon glanced at Ranita with a low voice, helping with the explanation, “Go play, we’ll tidy up.”
Although Ayaan was curious, he wouldn’t think too much.
“Okay, can I watch cartoons for a while?” Ayaan pouted his lips, “Dr. Science is waiting for me.”
Ranita just wanted to send the little one away and quickly agreed, “Go ahead, but don’t watch for too long.”
On the other side of the wall, cheerful cartoon sounds quickly filled the air.
“I’ll tidy up…” Ranita was about to speak but was held back by Brendon, who hugged her waist a bit, his voice low as he laughed softly, “Can I continue to secretly kiss you when I come back?”
This man, why is he so smooth-tongued now?
“Nonsense! I won’t let you!” Ranita wanted to leave, but Brendon clasped her waist with his other hand, “Ranita… Can you tell me now why you went to the hotel with Makhi?”
“Did you take a shower too? You have a different scent on you.”
Ranita widened her eyes and looked at him, this guy really had a keen sense of smell! He even knew that her scent was different?
“Two people, a man and a woman, going to a hotel, and taking a shower… Ranita, don’t you want to explain to me?” Brendon took a deep breath, his gaze falling on the teeth marks on her neck.
They were clearly visible, as he had used some force.
