Her breath was shallow against her ear.
Brendon grabbed her limp wrist, sealed her lips, and began kissing her.
Ranita was going crazy.
Brendon had been clinging to her too tightly all day long, kissing her multiple times throughout the evening.
Ranita felt sweetness in her heart, but their relationship was currently unclear, and she was conflicted, wanting to resist.
Ranita struggled a few times, but her strength was too weak, and before she could react, she was already being lifted onto the man’s lap.
“Brendon…” Ranita trembled, squeezing out a few words, “Stop it.”
“Hush! Don’t speak, or you’ll wake Ayaan.” Under the night lamp, the man’s eyes carried a dark gleam, and his deep voice was incredibly husky.
This room was a luxurious one, with the sofa positioned in a corner, a distance away from the bed, and thick curtains nearby. Their figures were hidden in the shadows, unlikely to be noticed if they remained silent.
Ranita’s heart was pounding rapidly.
She even felt a hint of excitement for no reason.
“Don’t… kiss me anymore…” Ranita couldn’t explain the conflicting feelings in her heart. Her mind was dizzy, filled with anticipation and a hint of fear.
“Ayaan is here!” In the end, rationality triumphed over emotion. Ranita held onto his wandering fingers, her eyes slightly red. “Brendon, endure it.”
Brendon glanced at his peacefully sleeping son, realizing that his big child had suddenly become an obstacle.
“Ranita… then let me kiss you again.” Brendon made a request, and Ranita’s heart softened as he looked at her. She nodded, her head feeling hot.
Passionate kisses came crashing like successive waves.
Ranita was kissed until her back was damp, and when Brendon let go of her, she was left gasping for air, like a fish out of water.
“Brendon, you should leave now.” Ranita urged him to go; if he didn’t leave soon, things would really get out of control.
Brendon pressed his lips against hers, biting down hard, and whispered in her ear, “Ranita, next time I’ll teach you a proper lesson.”
Ranita saw him off, her face completely flushed.
That night, Ranita had a strangely vivid dream and was startled awake, realizing it was just after three in the morning.
Ranita took deep breaths, gulping down several mouthfuls of cold water to calm her restless heart.
They were both adults; was she feeling too empty that she would have such a dream with just a little teasing? It was truly embarrassing…
Not only was she embarrassed, but also frightened.
“Drip, drip, drip!” Suddenly, the sound of the room card swiping at the door came from outside, and Ranita in the darkness was immediately terrified.
Her eyes fixed on the door as she hid in the corner, holding her breath, listening attentively.
“Click!” Someone tried to open the door, and Ranita was so scared that she immediately grabbed the desk lamp…
The sound of rustling persisted, but the door kept dripping. When Ranita went to sleep at night, she had locked the security latch.
The sound seemed abrupt and terrifying in the silent night.
Ranita didn’t dare to move and her heart was pounding in her throat. Fortunately, the security latch was effective; after a few attempts, the person outside stopped.
After a while of silence, just when Ranita thought the person outside had left, suddenly there was a knocking sound on the door.
“Knock, knock, knock!”
“Knock, knock, knock!”
There was no way Ranita would open the door! Although she didn’t know who it was, it was the middle of the night, and what if there was danger?!
She waited for a while, and the knocking sound stopped.
The faint footsteps receded.
Only then did Ranita’s pounding heart calm down. She put down the desk lamp and slowly walked to the door, looking outside through the peephole.
“Ah!” Ranita covered her mouth in shock…
