“Where’s Brendon?! Where are you hiding him?” Shannon’s tone turned fierce, her eyes devoid of disguise as she stared at her with resentment.
“Shannon, I told you he’s not here with me. If you want to go crazy, go somewhere else!” Ranita fearlessly met her gaze, sneering, “If you want to find Brendon, go directly to him. What’s the use of looking for me?”
Seeing that Brendon was truly not there, Shannon completely discarded her pretense, and her doll-like porcelain face twisted.
“Ranita, why are you always against me? I’m about to marry Brendon, why did you have to bring this illegitimate child back to ruin my happiness?” Shannon’s hatred for Ranita had reached its peak.
“I begged you, but you still won’t let me go?” Shannon pleaded.
“Shannon, you are truly sick!” Ranita sneered, “Who is not letting go of whom? I will never forget what you did to me four years ago!”
“And I won’t let go of the fact that you let Julia harm Ayaan either.”
Shannon raised her chin, a disdainful look in her eyes, “Ranita, you can’t just spout nonsense. I can’t understand a word you’re saying! If you have evidence, bring it out. If you harm my personal reputation without evidence, I can sue you.”
“Don’t worry, I will find the evidence!” All Julia had given her was a video, and there was nothing else that could prove Shannon’s guilt.
“Fine! I’ll be waiting!” Shannon smiled brightly, “Since Brendon isn’t here with you, I won’t disturb you, Ranita!”
“But there’s something I still want to say…” Shannon had calmed down considerably, “Kurima isn’t a place for you to stay for long. I advise you to leave as soon as possible.”
“And don’t think that just because Brendon sided with you today, you can replace my position.”
Shannon was much smarter than Holly.
Ranita pursed her lips and a hint of a smile appeared on her face. The most important thing in negotiations was to remain calm and composed in order to strike the enemy accurately.
“Miss Murphy, do you really think that way?” Ranita chuckled softly, her laughter tinged with a hint of mockery. “I don’t think so. Let’s not even mention the forged paternity test report. Would you like to take a look at this…”
Ranita took out a document from the drawer and handed it to Shannon. Shannon quickly glanced at it, her face immediately turning pale. “Ranita, what do you mean?”
“Shannon, you weren’t pregnant four years ago.” Ranita stated firmly, “Using a nonexistent child to pressure Brendon, what are you afraid of if not the truth?”
Shannon stared at Ranita for a while, then let out a cold laugh and calmly tore the document into pieces, throwing them into the trash can. She raised her chin defiantly, “Ranita, not only was I not pregnant back then, I never slept with Brendon. But let me tell you, what can you do about it? Brendon will only believe me…” Shannon’s eyes suddenly widened, her voice cut off abruptly.
