As Ranita had expected, Brendon indeed made a move.
It seemed like Shannon was interested in the item, and Brendon displayed an attitude of absolute determination, not batting an eye with each bid.
As for Augustus, his main goal was to annoy him, so he joined in without any burden, shouting out his bids.
As the auction progressed, only Augustus and Brendon remained.
“Ranita, Mr. John is really good to you!” Shannon spoke to Ranita with an envious tone. “If you really like it, I’ll ask Brendon not to bid and give it to you!”
Ranita felt disgusted and a sense of competitiveness arose within her.
“In an auction, it’s based on financial capability. There’s no need to let anyone have it!” Ranita calmly said and smiled at Augustus. “Augustus, keep going!”
“Ranita likes it, so I must buy it!”
It was unclear what part of his words triggered him, but Brendon directly shouted, “No matter how much he bids, I’ll double it!”
Augustus widened his eyes slightly. “Is he crazy?”
“In that case, I’ll let him…” Ranita stopped Augustus, who was about to raise his paddle, feeling a complicated mix of emotions.
He was willing to do anything for Shannon.
“Stop bidding!” Ranita calmed down. There was no need to waste time here. “I don’t like it.”

“Well, we couldn’t reach Mr. Stuart, so we had to call you. His health hasn’t fully recovered, and the hospital advises against his discharge. If you can see him, it would be best to persuade him to continue staying and be observed for a few more days.”
Wasn’t Brendon discharged after recovering?
Ranita’s heart tightened. “His health hasn’t improved yet?”
