Brendon sat next to her, and she didn’t know where to put her hands and feet.

Just then, Augustus noticed the man staring at him from the side. He paused for a moment and then smiled casually, greeting them like an old pro, “Oh, isn’t this Mr. Stuart and Miss Murphy? What a coincidence!”
Augustus sat down and leaned towards Ranita. “Why are they here too?”
“I’m wondering the same thing. Why am I so unlucky today!” Ranita lowered her voice and spoke to Augustus, her faint perfume scent wafting into his nose, making his heart race for some reason.
“Creak!”
Suddenly, Ranita’s leg was bumped, and the sound of a chair creaking could be heard.
Ranita snapped back to reality and saw Brendon shifting his chair slightly, then said in a cold tone, “Sorry, the chair is crooked. Let me move it.”

After silently complaining, Ranita turned her head to speak, but Shannon interfered again. She said, “Mr. John, you and Ranita seem really close. We might mistake you for her boyfriend!”
“Mr. John, you’re a talented person, and you go well with Ranita.” Shannon smiled sweetly, without taking a breath, and continued, “Seeing Ranita so happy now, Brendon and I are relieved.”
Augustus gave Ranita a look.
Ranita raised her eyebrows helplessly.

Augustus wasn’t familiar with them, so he restrained his smile and continued, “The auction is about to start, and I don’t have time for small talk!”
After saying that, Augustus ignored Shannon.
Ranita secretly saw Shannon’s face turn pale, looking very aggrieved!
