Ranita didn’t believe his nonsense.
Ranita smiled at Brown and gestured with her eyes to talk alone.
“Mr. Stuart, I need to speak with my colleague. Could you please wait a moment?”
Brown whispered, “Cynthia, is there a problem?”
“Is this project with you?” Ranita gritted her teeth, feeling that Brown was sent by the heavens to torment her. Although he was highly competent in business, he always assigned difficult projects to her.
Brown shrugged and raised his hands, saying, “What do you think? I don’t speak Craiguan!”
“By the way, Mr. Stuart had previous collaboration with ET, and you must have met during your assistance to Judi… It’s the second collaboration now, so there shouldn’t be any problems!” Brown finished and suddenly leaned in, gossiping, “Cynthia, I sense something special between you and Mr. Stuart. Is there something going on between you two?”
Brown smiled suggestively.
“Don’t overthink it!” Ranita moved away a bit, disgusted. “Keep that feminine perfume scent away from me!”
Unfazed by her disgust, Brown seemed proud. “I met a new flight attendant on the plane, if you know what I mean!”
Ranita chuckled, “Weren’t you hot and heavy with Judi before? Did it fizzle out so quickly?”
“I’ve already left Berlin, so naturally feelings leave with me.”
He was clearly a scoundrel!
“Let’s skip this topic! Let’s get back to the project! I don’t want to take on Mr. Stuart’s project!” Ranita continued, “I wanted to tell you today that I need to take a break.”
“A break? Didn’t you prioritize work above everything else? Why do you need a break?”
Ranita was getting a headache from his nagging. “Brown, I prioritize Ayaan above everything else, and then work! I want to take him back to our home country for a visit!”
“Cynthia! I’ve already signed the contract!” Brown paused and said, “Mr. Stuart doesn’t ask for much, just wants to enjoy his time here and hopes for a convenient guide. You happen to be free for a few days. Isn’t it a pleasant surprise?!”
Ranita facepalmed. “That’s what travel agencies are for!”
“But Mr. Stuart is offering a lot of money!” Brown gestured with his hands, and Ranita rolled her eyes, thinking Brendon must be crazy to pay so much to a tour guide.
“So, work hard!” Brown pushed Ranita out, and they coincidentally locked eyes with Brendon. The sharp gaze of a man fixed on his hand made Brown feel a chill down his spine.
“Mr. Stuart, you can discuss anything with Cynthia. She’s quite familiar with this place!”
Ranita escorted him out, walking quickly due to her anger.
“Ranita! Slow down…”
A low and laid-back voice came from behind, and Ranita stopped, turned around, and glared at Brendon fiercely. “Brendon, don’t you have anything better to do? I’m busy, can’t you bother someone else?”
“Cynthia, didn’t we sign a contract? Now I’m your client. Can’t you be a little nicer to your client?”
Ranita suppressed her anger. “Fine! What are your plans?”
Ranita never imagined that after being a translator for so many years, she would one day end up being a tour guide and translator. It was absurd.
“No plans, just going with the flow!”
Ranita turned her head without expression and started walking. She felt extremely stifled.
“Ranita, don’t walk so fast… be careful…”
Ranita didn’t want to acknowledge him, but the next moment, she twisted her foot and her heel got stuck in a gap in the pavement!
