“What black house?” Ranita asked, confused.
Brendon stood up and looked around, but because it was nighttime, he couldn’t see the color of the buildings in the amusement park.
“Is there a black house here?” The man asked anxiously.
“Black…” Ranita had never been here before and was thinking about how to answer when Steve’s voice rang out. “There’s only one black house here at the southeast gate theater.”
Steve turned to Ranita and said, “I reviewed the surveillance footage again. Ayaan definitely didn’t go to the lake! Also, there was a suspicious woman following Ayaan. She left from the southeast gate after Ayaan disappeared!”
The three of them exchanged glances.
They immediately rushed to the small theater at the southeast gate.
This was a performance stage for a small theater that was decorated in an ostentatious manner. However, there was a small black building in the employee area that specialized in props!
“It’s right here!” Steve had good memory so he knew where it was after just one look and quickly found its location.
“The theater has been closed for maintenance these past few days so if Ayaan is really here, then no one would have noticed!” When Steve spoke, Brendon had already taken two quick steps forward.
This black house was tucked away in a corner of the small theater, and the theater was also maintained with barricades in front. If it weren’t for the clue Brendon provided, no one would have noticed it.
“Ayaan!” Brendon anxiously shouted at the door.
It was silent around, no sound.
“Ayaan! Are you inside?” Ranita shouted again.
Brendon was about to kick the door when he suddenly heard a weak voice from inside, “Mommy… Uncle…”
Ranita heard it too and immediately shouted, “It’s Ayaan! It’s Ayaan! Open the door quickly!”
The door was locked.
“I’ll call the manager right away!”
“No need!” Brendon suppressed his anger and gently shouted, “Ayaan, hide your head and move away!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Brendon kicked the door panel with his foot.
With a cracking sound, a hole was punched through the door panel!
Steve saw this and also came over to help.
The door panel collapsed with a bang, revealing the space inside. The room was filled with smashed and scattered props and costumes. At the end of a small passage, a small white lump lay on the ground, with its legs tied up!
“Mommy!” a weak voice called out.
Ranita ran towards it in tears, embracing the little lump, “Ayaan! Ayaan! It’s okay now!”
Ayaan had been trapped here for a long time, and with no food, drink, and the cold, he weakly called out to Ranita and then closed his eyes, seemingly about to pass out!
“Ayaan!” Ranita exclaimed in shock, completely panicked.
Brendon quickly took the child, supporting Ranita to stand up. “Let’s take him to the hospital!”
Perhaps due to the shock, Ayaan developed a high fever.
Fortunately, Steve had some acquaintances here, so they directly took him to the clinic for a physical examination and treatment. Brendon didn’t idle either, as he was negotiating with the police, demanding that the culprit who locked Ayaan in the props room be caught as soon as possible.
“Ranita, go rest for a bit! Ayaan is physically fine, just running a fever.” Steve handed Ranita a cup of coffee. “We were lucky to have Brendon this time, otherwise we wouldn’t know how long it would take to find him.”
“Um…” Ranita was still very grateful to Brendon. If it weren’t for him, Ayaan might have been trapped there without food or drink and eventually starved or frozen to death!
