“Okay! Thank you!” Ranita smiled and took a sip of coffee before continuing, “If you have any questions, contact me.”
Ranita hung up the phone and turned around to see Brendon standing behind her with a grim expression…
Ranita was so scared that she trembled.
She didn’t know how much this man had heard.
“What’s up?” Ranita’s lips, which were just rising, immediately became cold and indifferent when she saw Brendon. Brendon was so angry that he felt his heart on fire. He asked with a serious face, “Who were you talking to on the phone?”
“That’s my private matter. Mr. Stuart, please don’t be so curious,” Ranita casually replied and walked back to the meeting room in high heels.
Judi leaned over and asked, “Cynthia, did you have an argument with Mr. Stuart?”
“Why do you ask like that? I’m not familiar with Mr. Stuart at all. How could we argue!”
Ranita finished speaking, leaving Judi puzzled. “Not familiar? That’s impossible! Mr. Stuart must have seen you hundreds of times during the meetings!”
“Cynthia, can’t you sacrifice a little? Otherwise, this meeting will truly go on endlessly!”
“Aren’t you tired?”
Ranita squinted and chuckled, “I’m just an interpreter, handle your own project!”
“Don’t do that! Didn’t we agree on it before? I’ll pay more!”
Ranita refused, “No! This client is very troublesome, and I don’t want to have more contact even if you pay extra!”
Judi was about to say something when Brendon returned.
The following meeting fell into a deadlock again. It was all about minor issues, but Brendon was unusually stubborn, refusing to budge no matter what was said.
At the end of the day, nothing was accomplished.
If they continued like this, the project on their side alone would take up a lot of time. Ranita didn’t have the energy for that, so she approached Brendon. “Brendon, do you have any issues with me?”
“Why would you ask that? What issues could I possibly have with you?!” he retorted, his tone filled with sarcasm, claiming he had no issues!
Ranita gritted her teeth in anger.
“Mr. Stuart, if you have no issues, then why did this project…”
Brendon interrupted her, “Ranita, who do you think you are? You’re just a translator, and the project has nothing to do with you, right?”
“Furthermore, why do you think you have the ability to influence the negotiation results?”
Fine! She had been impulsive!
“Fine! Mr. Stuart, see you tomorrow!” Ranita huffed and walked away.
“Hold on!” Brendon called out, stopping her. “The second condition is for you to take me out for dinner tonight!”
Ranita froze, momentarily forgetting that she still owed him two conditions.
“Alright! What do you like to eat? I’ll make a reservation!”
“What do I like to eat? Don’t you know?” Brendon coldly replied, leaving her with his back as he headed towards the parking lot.
Today, Allen didn’t come.
Caleb was a bit behind, “Miss Bowman, I haven’t had a chance to talk to you. Are you doing well lately?”
“I’m doing fine! Thank you for your concern!” Ranita gave him a big smile, but it was caught by Brendon, who glanced back and raised an eyebrow. “Caleb, catch up!”
“Shannon is still at the hotel, go and arrange it.” He also tossed the car keys to Caleb.
Since Brendon didn’t have a car, he shamelessly hitched a ride in Ranita’s car.
On the way, Ranita made a reservation at a restaurant. She saw Brendon’s profile in the rearview mirror as he focused on flipping through documents.
Brendon had a certain charm when he worked.
Handsome, composed, and calm. He hadn’t agreed to Judi’s request yet, probably because he had his own considerations…
