Ranita needed to go out with Brown in the afternoon and told little Ayaan, “I’m going out to work. Listen to Coco and call me on your phone watch if there’s anything important!”
Little Ayaan nodded like a grown-up, “I got it!”
“Mommy, remember to come back early! And if you’re too busy, don’t forget to eat. Bye-bye!”
Ranita met up with Brown and they went off to work together.
After diligently finishing their work, Brown invited her out for dinner. “Cynthia, let me treat you tonight.”
“No thanks! I want to go back and spend time with Elio. You can ask someone else,” Ranita knew Brown well enough – he was a womanizer who only asked her because he couldn’t find anyone else or wanted something from her.
“Aren’t you young? You should get out more often. The place we’re going is on Red Street – I promise it’ll be fun,” said Brown.
Rolling her eyes at him, Ranita replied firmly, “Brown, my refusal has nothing to do with where we’re eating or what we’re doing. I just don’t want to have dinner with you.”
“Cynthia!” Brown was disappointed but then suggested, “How about we change the location? Bring Elio along?”
Ranita was engaged in a conversation with Brown, while the little one was currently throwing a tantrum with Coco. The reason was that his favorite little ball was missing.
The little one had a very good temper and rarely got angry, but that ball was his favorite. He had brought it along on this outing, but now it was nowhere to be found! The little one had big teary eyes and a red nose from crying.
Coco felt heartbroken!
It was all her carelessness that led to the loss of the little one’s possession. She immediately called the customer service of the previous hotel they stayed at, but was informed that nothing had been found.
The little one’s eyes turned even redder upon hearing this.
“I’ll take you back to look for it. Maybe it got stuck under the bed, and even the hotel cleaners didn’t notice!” Coco hastily took the little one back to their previous hotel to search for the lost item.
“Elio, you sit here and wait for me. I’ll go ask!” Coco was confident in leaving the little one because he truly was the smartest and most well-behaved baby she had ever seen.
“Coco, you must find my ball.”
While Coco was communicating with someone, the little one, with his short legs wobbling, looked around. Suddenly, a tall figure caught his attention!
“Uncle?!” The little one immediately slid off his chair and ran towards the man, hugging his long legs.
“Uncle!”
Caleb was startled by the sudden appearance of the little one, but upon closer inspection, he realized it was the same child he had seen at the airport. According to Caleb’s emotionless deduction, this child might belong to Brendon!
“Uncle! What are you doing here?” The little one tilted his head back, looking adorable and speaking with a soft voice.
When he smiled, his eyes curved like Ranita’s, and his little white teeth were as cute as sticky rice. He was incredibly adorable!
Caleb was overwhelmed by cuteness and really wanted to pat his head.
But Brendon was quicker. His big hand was already resting on the little one’s fluffy head as he crouched down and said warmly, “Ayaan!”
“Uncle, you still remember me!”
“Of course, I remember! Ayaan, what brings you here?” Brendon’s lips curved up, clearly in a very good mood!
Truly, it was unexpected to find something when you least expected it!
Sure enough, he came knocking on their door!
He really lived up to his reputation as a good big son!
“I came back to find my little ball!” The little one spoke, his eyes spinning around. He waved at Brendon and said, “Uncle, come closer, I have something to ask you.”
