Rosa glanced back at him. It was all her fault. Countless times she had regretted her actions and wished she could restore things to the way it used to be but Lanre didn’t give her a chance.
But now, he initiated the reconciliation and she intends to take advantage of it. “I am sorry for everything I did. It was all my fault” Rosa said, her eyes teary.
“I don’t want you to blame yourself. Everyone makes mistakes and I made too. But I want us to get back together and this time, strengthen our bond…” Lanre said, looking at his wristwatch again before starting the ignition.
He was running late already. “I promise, we won’t experience this again in our relationship”Rosa promised.
Lanre smiled and said he hopes so. ” All the same, there is a lot we need to talk about. And at a more convenient time, I have a confession to make, ” Lanre said as his facial expression changed a little.
He had to tell her about Nancy. If he didn’t tell her, she is not going to know but he will feel that he cheated on her and his conscience will make him restless.
Rosa glanced at him. He seemed to share a semblance with Theresa sometimes. The way he looked concentrated on the steering seemed to her as if she was seeing Theresa.
” I want to ask a question?” Rosa declared. Lanre noddeed implying she should ask.
” Define your relationship with Tara?” She declared. Rosa turned herself slightly to stare at him directly. Aren’t they dating?
Lanre gave a grin. He knew she would ask. ” Tara is my ex,” he answered simply. He explained to her how she travelled out and got married to someone else.
They stumbled upon each other at the restaurant and that’s how she ended up accompanying him to the party at his request.
“Then explain those kisses yesterday?” Rosa demanded. If they are each other’s ex, why did they kiss so passionately like they did right before her eyes at the party?
“I was doing it to verify something. I Want to be sure if your emotions were still there towards me and I got my answers. It was just an act, no strings or feelings attached” Lanre explained.
Then he added ” I am sorry about that” . Rosa didn’t ask any more questions till they arrived at the hospital.
She has gotten answers that she seeks. She is not offended anymore and his explanation was satisfactory.
Theresa arrived at the magistrate court where she was to Meet with Lu. She had regained her strength after Junxie offered her a pill.
But that day, she appeared more glamorous than Lu Jingli has ever known. Her curly hair, make up, and the designer suit she has on makes her look gracious.
She wore a stiltoes and her handbag was designer which matched her pair of shoes.
She wore a diamond wristwatch and on her finger was a diamond ring. Junxie had bought her the wristwatch along with the ring. But only used the ring in proposing to her.
That morning, he gifted her the wristwatch and Theresa Mo felt happy. The diamond ring and wristwatch would definitely cost millions of yaun. They were made from the purest form of diamonds.
When Lu Jingli saw her and all the adornment on her, he squinted. Where had Theresa saved so much money to buy these things?
No it can’t be. These must be the inferior ones. Where would she get the money to afford such expensive ornaments? Is her hooker boyfriend capable of providing meals on her table?
She even had an engagement ring on? She’s really engaged to a hooker? Well, it doesn’t make any sense at all because she would return home with him as his wife.
She won’t be able to afford a renowned lawyer that would be able to compete with his lawyer. She equally has no evidence that she can use against him.
When Theresa entered and saw Lu Jingli and his notorious lawyer, she chuckled softly. This is the same fellow who came to meet her on the hospital bed a few years ago and threatened her to divorce his client. He was still the one who accompanied him again?
These two will meet their doom someday. Lu Jingli’s lawyer saw Theresa Mo and couldn’t help but admire her. She looked way more beautiful than Tiana Mo.
No wonder his client was head bent on getting her back to himself. She’s beautiful and attractive and it would be difficult to believe she’s a mother.
Her skin glitters and she looked well kept and rich. She must have been paying more attention to her body lately than she used to do in those days.
Theresa Mo sat down and eyed the two people seated. There were still five minutes before the hearing began. She sat quietly and waited for her lawyer to arrive.
Lu Jingli was happy already. It seems that Theresa Mo has no lawyer. She possibly can’t afford to hire a lawyer.
