Author POV
Once the car stopped at the parking lot, they both alighted, but Moon almost froze, as she was welcomed with the sight of Liam, the guy she was having a crush on. She felt her heart skipped, but she tried as much as to keep herself calmed. They ignored him, and walked straight to the veranda, and soon, they were on their way to the class.
“Did I forgot to tell you this? You’re gorgeous.” Jack leaned in on her, and whispered, while she chuckled softly…
Alpha Khalid POV
As usual, I stared down at her face, with an heavy and bleeding heart, as tears kept pouring from my eyes. I wish there’s anything I could do about it, I wished I could bring her back to life, but that’s a dream that’ll never come through for me. Slowly, I found myself, getting convinced that she may be really dead, but then, I didn’t want to just conclude yet.
It’s been a whole three and a half month, and still, nothing had changed. It’s so fucking annoying. Over these months, I’ve still invited different physicians, to help me check her, but all of them, keep saying the same thing, and I just feel like devouring them.
I was still lost in thoughts, when something crossed my mind, the seer, I think she’ll be of help, maybe I should go visit her.
I quickly got dressed, and in a few minutes, I was already set to go see her. Without wasting my time, I stormed out of my room, and set on the journey.
It took me a few minutes, before I finally got there, and as usual, the whole place was dark. Everywhere became bright, as soon as I walked in, revealing her, sitting on the stone, as usual.
“You finally came.” She said, as soon as I walked in. She stood up from the stone, before turning to face me, but what I saw almost made me cringe. Standing before me, is another person, not the young lady I saw the other day, that claimed to be my grandmother. The woman standing before me, looks really old. What’s going on here? And what does she mean by I finally came? Was she expecting me?
“This is my real image Khalid.” She finally satisfied my confusion and curiosity.
I kept looking at her blankly. Anyways, that’s not why I’m here, I’m here for something more important.
“I need your help.” I said restlessly.
“Your mate?” She cut me off, giving me a knowing look, and I just nodded. I shouldn’t be surprised about she got to know about my mate, right? She’s a seer, so she must’ve seen it.
She turned around, with saying a word, and soon, I heard her making some chants, while I waited patiently for her to get back to me.
After what seemed like forever, ray of light, flashed in, and flashed brightly on my face, sending me to the ground, as I winced in pains, and it disappeared again.
“Argh!” I winced in pains, as I shut my eyes, trying to take in the pains. What the heck was that? After recovering from pains, I slowly opened my eyes, still sitting on the ground, as I was welcomed with the woman, holding out a cup to me.
“Make her drink this, and she’ll be back to life.” She said. Without wasting time, I stood up, and snatched the cup from her, before turning around to leave, but halt abruptly, as I suddenly heard her scream.
“Argh!” She screamed.
I turned around swiftly, and my eyes widened, as I was welcomed with the woman, laying weakly on the ground, with blood, gushing out of her mouth. Dropping the cup carefully on the ground, to avoid it breaking into pieces, I rushed to her, and squat beside her.
“Are you ok?” I asked, as I tried helping her up, but she shook her head, as a smile crept its way to her face. Slowly, she raised her hand, until it was touching my face, and she cupped my cheek in her hand, as a drop of tears slid down her cheek.
“You deserve to be happy my grandchild, your mate deserve to live, I’ve lived for so many years, if this is the only thing I can do for you, I will gladly do it. Take care of yourself, go and save your mate.” That was all she said, and her hand fell weekly from my cheek. Everything dawned on me, she used her own life to save my mate, she sacrificed her own life for my happiness. What good have I done to deserve this?
Suddenly, she started vanishing, and soon, her body turned into ashes. A drop of tears slid down my cheeks, as threw my head back. As much as i’m happy that Octavia is going to be fine again, I can’t help being sad, knowing that someone just sacrificed her life for me. I’ll forever be grateful to her, she’ll always live in my heart.
Standing up on my feet, I wiped my tears, and went to get the cup, before storming out of the cave, and soon, I was already on my way back to the castle. The happiness in me, knew no bound, the thought of getting to see her alive again, gives me so much joy. Words alone can’t explain how happy I am, finally, she’s going to come back to life, we’re gonna be together.
After running for what seemed like forever, I finally got to the castle, and I climbed the stairs that leads to the veranda, running as fast as my legs could carry me. After what seemed like forever to me, I finally got to the hallway, as I kept walking briskly, till I got to the front of my door, and without wasting a second, I pushed the door opened, before rushing in, but froze on my spot, at the sight before me, as my eyes darkened in fury. How dare she!…
