Moon POV
It’s been a whole week since I last went to school, and in these whole days, I didn’t got to even talk with Liam on phone. That jerk wouldn’t let me have my privacy, he’s always around me like a guardian angel, urgh! He’s going to kill me before my time. I’m just recovering from the damn poison, which that evil wolf infected me with. At times it still does affects me, feeling of headache, my eyes spinning, throwing up, and weakening my body, but I’m taking some herbs to control it though. Whoever the wolves were, they really meant to kill Khalid.
Swinging my legs down my bed, I got on my feet, and yawned, before walking into the bathroom. Stepping into the bathroom, I stripped out of my clothes, and threw it on the floor, before getting under the shower, after which I turned it on, as I allowed the water fall freely on my body, while I scrub myself with my sponge.
My thoughts were filled with Liam, as I couldn’t help, but to look forward to seeing him, I’ve missed him so much. He didn’t call me all through the days I was absent from the school, could it be that he doesn’t care about me? That’s not true, he must be busy or something.
After I was done taking my bath, I wore my robe, before walking into my room. I hurried up with my dressing, making sure to still take my little time, to work on my make-up, and make sure I look gorgeous, that he won’t be able to take his eyes off me, by the time he sets his eyes on me.
I took a last glance at myself, and chuckled, before grabbing my car keys from the bed, after which I took my backpack, before storming out of my room, and soon, I was on my way to the dinning room. Stepping into the dinning room, I almost froze on my spot, at the sight I behold. The heck! What’s he doing here this early morning? Urgh! His presence isn’t for a good purpose…
Jack POV
I’ve really been feeling so attached to Moon lately, and now I’m beginning to believe that she’s truly my mate. Not that I didn’t believe it before, but I was having a second thought, but now, I feel like she’s really mine. The thought of her, having feelings for that bastard, hurts my heart alot, as my demon itched to devour him with his claws, but I just had to control myself, and keep my anger in touch, so as not to ruin things.
These whole few days that Moon haven’t been to school, I made sure I stayed by her side, and tend to her wound. The poison is still affecting her, and will take time to heal completely, but I’m doing my best not to let it spread through her system, to avoid her being in danger.
It’s Monday today, I know she’ll be going to school today, and I just can’t wait to see her. Can’t believe I’m missing that psychopath that hates me with so much passion. What does Moon goddess have to pair me up with her, for fuck sake?
I woke up as early as possible, had my bath, got dressed, and had my breakfast, before leaving for Khalid’s place. I want to go pick Moon up, I know she’ll be so pissed, but too bad, I don’t care.
I would rather have her mad at me, than allow her go see that bastard. The thought of him, makes me cringe in anger.
After driving for what seemed like forever, I finally got to the castle, and I parked my car, before alighting, and soon, I was already walking through the veranda. I was directed to the dinning by one of the guards, who told me that everyone were at the dinning, having breakfast.
The two guards, standing in front of the dinning room, bowed as soon as they sight me, before opening the door, after which I walked in. Stepping into the dinning room, I met Khalid and his mom, eating silently, while some maids were hanging around.
“I guess I came at the right time. Good morning.” I chuckled, as I walked up to them.
“Jack?” His mom smiled at me.
“Good morning mother. How’re you doing?” I asked, as I took a seat beside Khalid.
“I’m fine. How’re you doing?” She smiled and returned the question.
“I’m fine mother.” I smiled. Tilting my head to look at Khalid, who didn’t even raised his head to look at me, neither did he replied to my greetings, I couldn’t help, but scoffed. This man is just too damn serious for my liking.
“How’s Laurie? I’ve really missed her. When are you inviting her over here?” She asked, giving me her full attention.
If only she knows the kind of frustration Laurie will bring to her, inviting her would be the last thing on her mind. Even I hates it, when Laurie comes to pay me visit, because she’s always frustrating me.
“She’s fine mother, I’ll definitely tell her that.” I flashed a smile. For heaven sake, her questions are frustrating.
She clicked her fingers, and two maids came rushing to us.
“Serve his highness something.” She said, not raising her head to look at them.
“Don’t worry mother, I’m fine….”
“No… no you can’t tell me that Jack, you have to eat something.” She shook her head, while glaring at me playfully.
Urgh! I should’ve known this was going to happen.
I nodded with a forced smile.
The maids started dishing out the food, and once they were done, I started forcing myself to eat.
The door opened, and a familiar intoxicating scent, filled my nostrils, as my attention was drawn to the door. Tilting my head to check who just walked in, my mouth dropped opened in awe, my heart beating fast, as I behold the figure, standing at the doorway…
