Zanaya’s POV
“So, does that mean she’s the real girlfriend?”
“It was obvious that it was her.”
“Wow, was she hospitalized because she was depressed after she saw pictures of Sally and Seth together?”
“I hope Seth isn’t with her out of pity, you know since she’s been hospitalized and all.”
“Maybe she’s using Seth to be more famous.”
“No, Seth can’t date!”
“They look so good together.
“I don’t know, I still ship Sally and Seth.”
“Did she took Seth away from Sally?”
“What a bitch.”
“Was Seth two-timing?”
I groan as Tokyo reads all the comments online.
I’m a bitch, I know.
It’s been two days since the incident but a lot of fans are still talking about it.
Though some of the fans were sure that it was me on Seth’s phone, we neither confirm or deny it.
We watched the clip again and my face wasn’t really caught clearly but my hair color gave it away a little.
It was a good thing that Seth and the boys were smooth enough to escape the situation on the broadcast.
The thing now is, Seth is unable to visit me even after they came back because we were both told to be a little careful.
“Your sweetheart isn’t really careful, missy.” Max scoffed as she hugs her pillow while she sits on the cushion.
We were all in the living room after we arrive back from BP building.
I grimace at her comment but I did not try to argue.
I sigh as I remember everything that had happened to my life in just a matter of two years.
I secretly got married, debuted as an idol, and more importantly, fell in love with my estranged husband.
Not only that, but I also got into a lot of trouble because of him.
Though everything doesn’t seem to be all cherry and good, I feel like I’d still take the same path if I’d be given a chance to turn back time.
“Zaya, you do remember that tomorrow is your birthday, right?” Cali grins at me and I just sigh.
Right, tomorrow is my birthday and I don’t even think Seth has the slightest idea about it.
“Oh, are you looking real sad because Seth doesn’t know?” Tokyo teased me as she started dancing in front of me.
My innocent hands grabbed the nearest pillow beside me and threw it straight to her annoying face, which to my annoyance, she was able to catch.
She started sticking her tongue out on me which earned a handful of laughter from the other two.
“Aaargghhhh!” I shout in frustration.
“Poor Zanaya…” Cali shook her head as she watches over my dilemma.
It’s past ten at night and it’s a little less than two hours before my birthday but I feel so depressed.
“Ahhh!!!” I whined as I took the pillow from Tokyo’s hand and hug it real tight, squirming by body all over due to frustration.
“We?” she said in between laughter.
I lay down on the couch and raised my feet in the air as I kick an imaginary Seth in front of me.
Seth Devon, I really really hate you.
I was in the middle of having a tantrum when Max’s phone rang.
“Yes, manager-nim?”
“Right now? We?”
“Okay, manager-nim.”
We all stared at her when she groans after the call.
“I totally forgot that we have a photoshoot tomorrow and we have to travel tonight because it was out of town,” she grunted and I whined louder.
Shit. I totally forgot about that.
Last week, our manager told us about it but it slipped off my mind.
“Oh my God, Zaya, we’re going to celebrate your birthday on the road.” she pouted and I just smiled.
“It’s fine. We all knew we have work anyways. I just totally forgot as well because of all these dramas.”
I had to summon all my energy so I can bring myself to stand so I can prepare.
A photoshoot for my birthday. Well, at least I won’t be sleeping in my room the whole day.
I lazily went to my room to clean myself.
After an hour, we were all seated inside our van heading to God knows where.
I checked my phone to see if Seth has already contacted me, but to no avail, my phone hasn’t shown any notification since this morning and I’m starting to lose my shit.
“Stop checking your phone.” Tokyo chuckled and I roll my eyes at her.
“Well, your little bunny doesn’t seem to like contacting you as well.” I rebutted and she just pouted.
“Cat got your tongue?” I teased.
“I hate you, Zaya. And please pull up your shirt. I’m seeing your hickeys all over.” She smirked and my hands automatically covered my neck while the other two died laughing.
“You’re blushing, Zaya. Did you enjoy it?” Max wiggled her eyebrows and my body sank deeper on the leather seat that I am currently in.
“Jesus, I swear I heard your moans up to my room,” Cali muttered and I lunged to my seat to cover her mouth.
“Hey!” I groan and even our manager laughed.
“Oh, did you use protection?” Tokyo asked and my eyes went wide at her question.
“Stop pestering her.” Our manager stated and luckily, the girls shut up.
I can’t possibly tell them that he didn’t. Though he actually pulled out.
I still feel shy about it and the fact that Seth and I haven’t seen each other in person after that makes my stomach churn a thousand times.
“We’re here.” Our manager stated as our van halted in front of a restaurant and my brows furrowed.
“I thought it will be out of the city? And in a restaurant? ” I asked our manager.
We traveled for over thirty minutes only.
“Stop complaining and get out.” she snickered and we all just went out of the van.
My body shivered as I felt the cold air enveloped through me.
Why did I even wear shorts?
“Hey, it’s too cold in here. Let’s go.” our manager told us and we followed her as we walk inside the restaurant.
It was understandable how it was close because it’s almost midnight.
When a young man saw us, he quickly leads the way.
“What’s the concept of this photoshoot anyways?” I asked Tokyo but she just shrugged her shoulders.
I pulled out my phone as I check again if Seth had sent me a message, not even bothering to check our surroundings.
I was busy typing on my phone when the room suddenly went dark.
“Oh!” I screamed and when I turned around, I can no longer find the other girls.
“Cali…” I called, my voice shaking.
I’m a little scared of the dark.
I hug my body with my arms as my eyes started to get teary.
And then the lights went on, and few familiars faces showed.
“Happy Birthday, Zanaya” they all started singing and my eyes got teary.
I covered my mouth in surprise.
A relieved sigh escaped my lips and I watch how Cali carries a cake while everyone else sings.
The girls and our manager were all singing along with SHADOW.
I scanned the room but there is no Seth.
The song ended but I still didn’t see him.
My heart dropped on the floor.
He must have forgotten about me.
And then a voice echoed across the room.
I turned around and saw Seth, with a flower on his right hand.
His eyes landed on me and my heart skipped a beat.
And then he started singing.
Snow isn’t a person…
She’s a persona made to be someone what her readers want her to be…
Snow isn’t a human…
She’s a creative output built by her readers’ imagination…
Snow isn’t real…
She’s just a dream, an escape for other people…
Snow isn’t perfect…
She’s just a perfect character built in her readers’ mind…
Snow is You…
A persona, a creative output, a dream, an image, a character…
But who is the real Snow?
Who are you?
You always smile, tells them everything is okay…
You always crack jokes, making their feelings lighter when they’re down…
You always give advice, to help them get through with everything…
You always put them first…
But I’d like to know, who are you?
Are you happy?
Are you hurting?
Do you feel loved?
Do you feel safe?
Do you want to be Snow?
Or do you want to be someone else?
Do you need to hide to be you?
Do you need to be alone to be happy?
Do you need to turn your back to stop hurting?
Do you need to close your eyes to feel loved?
Do you need to shut yourself to feel safe?
Do you want to be Snow?
Or do you want to be you?
But regardless of who you want to be, please know…
that all I want is for you to be happy…
Whether you are Snow, or you are your true self…
Because your happiness is my happiness…
Because you are my own snow…
Once he stopped, he gave the flowers to me and stared at me with a smile on his face.
“Happy Birthday, my princess.”
I bit my lip in embarrassment as we heard our members cheer.
My eyes went wide open when his free hand landed on the back of my neck as he pulled me closer, my lips landing straight to his.
I heard the whistling and cheering around us and a smile crept at the corner of my lips.
I guess this is the best birthday ever.
