It was only after Zara had gone out that Yolanda Taylor opened the card sealed with a red heart.
There was only one sentence inside, but after seeing that sentence, the expression on Yolanda Taylor’s face went a little bit cold.
She closed the card and looked at the computer in front of her, only to feel as if her head was being pounded on this with a small hammer, making her ache.
Yolanda Taylor looked at the computer and walked away for a while before finally turning it off and heading back to the hotel.
As she left, Zara called out to her, Yolanda Taylor didn’t hear her and hurried out.
Zara saw that Yolanda Taylor’s face didn’t look too good, and didn’t call her anymore, but just sat by the window and watched Yolanda Taylor gradually walk away.
At nine o’clock in the evening, the whole city was plunged into darkness, the busy city, there were lights everywhere, and there were quite a lot of vehicles on the road, Yolanda Taylor stood on the side of the road for a while, and then she got a taxi.
The hotel she was staying at was a bit far from the store, and it was twenty minutes before she got back to the hotel.
Yolanda Taylor had the security bolt engaged before she took the card out of her purse again.
The card was just one sentence: if you want to know the truth about your mom’s death when she was run over, tomorrow afternoon at three o’clock, Miele Coffee.
She didn’t know about Petra’s accident until a few days later, Dika Rothstein kept it from her, Jerome Perot and Beth Garcia kept it from her, and if she hadn’t found out about it from someone else at the dinner party that day, Yolanda Taylor wouldn’t have known when she would have found out about it.
She was a fool to try to get Gwen Fox to leave her and Petra alone that night.
After the accident, she didn’t pursue the real reason behind this matter, because she guessed that this matter, could be sure that Lamar Fox did it.
Lamar Fox this old fox, she also knows that she can not fight him, or later would not be disheartened by a fire to burn themselves.
But the truth of the matter is how, Yolanda Taylor still do not know.
She went back to Borden City from Oman City to get back at Gwen Fox, but she knew she couldn’t do it, and that sometimes it’s better to live a life of confusion than to be happy.
Heather’s departure was a blow to her head, and she knew that her so-called revenge was stupid, a lose-lose situation that wasn’t necessary.
She had decided to put the past behind her and now someone was bringing it up.
Yolanda Taylor wasn’t sure if she was better off ripping her scars open or just letting the past go in a blur.
It had to be said that no matter what the purpose of the person who sent the card was, the other party had already succeeded in half of it, and she was now so disturbed that she didn’t know where to go.
Inside the quiet room, the vibration of her cell phone was very clear.
Yolanda Taylor was startled for a moment, and looked at the cell phone on the side, her eyes fell on the familiar name “Gwen Fox”, but she didn’t reach out to bring the phone over to answer the call.
She just watched until the call answered and then vibrated again before she reached out and picked it up, “Hello?”
“Still working on the chart?”
Yolanda Taylor pursed her lips, hearing the familiar voice only made her head feel messed up, “Uh-huh.”
“Still staying up late today?”
She twitched her eyes, “I don’t know.”
She said and paused, “Gwen Fox-”
“What’s wrong with you?”
Gwen Fox’s voice on the other end of the line changed and Yolanda Taylor woke up with a start, she bit her lower lip, “Nothing, just think Miss Selina and her fiancé are so good together.”
“Dear, let’s have a baby.”
This was the third time he had brought up the subject, before that it had been face to face in person, this time hundreds of miles apart, holding a cell phone so no one could see anyone.
Yolanda Taylor couldn’t help but let out a laugh at his words, “You regret it, huh?”
“Uh-huh.”
“There’s no use regretting it, I’m going to take a shower, hang up, I’m a little tired today.”
After she finished speaking, she didn’t give him a chance to continue talking and directly pinched the phone.
Hanging up, she let go of the phone and it fell right out of her hand.
Yolanda Taylor looked up at the ceiling, remembering Gwen Fox’s words.
Both the card and the phone call kept Yolanda Taylor from sleeping peacefully, and she dreamed again of the day of Xenia Davis’ birthday, when she ran to the bathroom to find that her thighs had begun to bleed continuously.
She was inside that cubicle, her head was blank, and she didn’t know how much longer she would have been able to stand there if there hadn’t been a knock on the door outside.
When she woke up with a start, it was dark inside the room, and the curtains were so tightly covered that no light from outside could penetrate.
She reached for her cell phone and saw that it was less than seven o’clock, after sitting on the bed for a while, Yolanda Taylor turned on the light, washed up and turned on the computer to finish yesterday’s design drawings.
Before she left the house, she looked at the card sitting on the counter and stopped in her tracks, after looking at it for a moment, she grabbed it and stuffed it inside her bag.
Yolanda Taylor had just arrived at the store when Zara looked at her with an expectant face, “Miss Taylor, you’re here!”
She smiled, “Finished reading? Any thoughts?”
Zara was a little embarrassed, “Not really ideas, just some questions for you.”
“Come with me.”
Yolanda Taylor carried her computer and went into the office previously reserved for herself, turned it on and pulled up the stock images inside, “What don’t you understand, go ahead, I’m listening.”
Zara glanced at Yolanda Taylor and hesitated for a moment before stepping in front of her and beginning to speak eloquently.
Yolanda Taylor hadn’t said much the whole time, basically listening to Zara.
She could hear that Zara hadn’t studied systematically, but she’d still used her heart, and some of the ideas and questions that had been brought up were actually ones she’d had.
But Yolanda Taylor considered the cost and also the market, that’s why it was finalized like this.
“… I’m done, Miss Taylor, don’t mind, I’m just talking casually, just feel free to listen.”
“How is it just a casual comment? Some of what you said inspired me, it was useful.”
Yolanda Taylor said and smiled a little, “You’re into wedding design?”
She raised her hand and patted the couch beside her and Zara hesitantly took a seat beside her, “I loved watching people get married when I was a kid, and watching it got me a lot of whimsy.”
Yolanda Taylor nodded a little, signaling her to continue, “Miss Taylor, when I told the Winifred store manager that I was coming to be an apprentice photographer, I didn’t actually want to really want to be a photographer!”
“I know.”
Yolanda Taylor saw that she was a bit formal, so she stopped asking so many questions and went straight to the point: “I think you’re very thoughtful and talented, you’ll definitely succeed in the future. You don’t need to be anxious, to do this, some skills are necessary, if you really want to do it, I can fund you to enroll in some training courses.”
“Huh? Really, really?”
Zara was obviously surprised, Yolanda Taylor smiled a little, “Really, think about it, but I also have a condition, I’ll give you two years, after two years, you have to be a designer with me for three years before you can leave. Is that okay?”
“Of course it’s okay, I, I-”
Zara couldn’t say anything and directly cried.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door.
Yolanda Taylor drew a tissue for her and got up and walked over to pull the door open, blocking the visitor’s view of Zara inside.
