Jane had taken off her mask and was now much more direct in what she said.
Yolanda Taylor heard this and didn’t know what she meant.
She didn’t want Ham Rodriguez to know where Heather was, and neither did Jane; they were in rare agreement on that point.
Jane’s point was that she wanted to use her to break Ham Rodriguez’s mind about Heather, and she wanted Ham Rodriguez to resent Heather, and she didn’t have to do anything to reap the rewards.
Yolanda Taylor couldn’t help but frown a little at the thought, looking at Jane in front of her and speaking in a faint voice, “Miss White, I think you might have the wrong person.”
As she said that, she glanced back at the police officers guarding her behind her, “I have nothing more to say to Miss White.”
With that said, Yolanda Taylor simply got up, clearly not wanting to hear any more from Jane.
Jane was full of confidence before she came, but now that she saw Yolanda Taylor’s reaction, she blushed badly, “Yolanda Taylor!”
Jane couldn’t help but call out as she walked to the door.
Yolanda Taylor stopped and looked back at her, “Is there something else Miss White?”
“You think you’ve thrown away this opportunity and you’re going to find a chance to get Gwen Fox to divorce you? The only person in all of Borden City that could get Gwen Fox to divorce you is Ham Rodriguez, and that’s the only chance you have to get a divorce, what the hell were you thinking! ”
Jane thought Yolanda Taylor was crazy, not taking advantage of a great opportunity, but thinking about that Heather guy?
She asked someone to check the relationship between Yolanda Taylor and Heather, although these two people have known each other for many years, but they have really crossed paths, it is only in this year that they started to meet and deal with each other.
Yolanda Taylor and Heather have only met a handful of times in the past year.
It was reasonable to say that these two people had similar personalities at most, but how deep could they be.
Of course Jane didn’t understand what Yolanda Taylor was thinking because she hadn’t experienced Yolanda Taylor’s despair back then, so naturally she couldn’t empathize with Yolanda Taylor’s feelings for Heather.
For Yolanda Taylor, she wants to divorce Gwen Fox and get out of here.
But that doesn’t mean she has to sacrifice Heather to make herself whole. What Heather is going through is no different than what she went through back then. But Heather was luckier than she was. She wanted to leave, too, but she missed the final step.
Now that Heather is free from Ham Rodriguez, how could she bear to send Heather back to Ham Rodriguez’s eyes.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Do not do unto others.
It’s not like she’s a great person, she just thinks Heather could be better off than she is.
She’d already been down such a dead end, and didn’t want Heather to follow her into such a predicament.
If Ham Rodriguez hadn’t sued her out of the blue and sent her here, Yolanda Taylor probably wouldn’t have been in the mood to reflect on what she’d done over the past year or so, or realize that she’d done a lot of useless work.
Hearing Jane’s words, Yolanda Taylor didn’t fluctuate half-heartedly, “Miss White wants to be Ham’s wife, no one is stopping you, but I’m sorry, I can’t help you.”
This time when she finished, she didn’t look back, pulling the door open herself and going out back to that quad.
Jane, her face green with anger, watched Yolanda Taylor’s back for a long time before she reluctantly left the detention center.
Just after four in the afternoon, Gwen Fox stopped by.
Probably because Jane had come once earlier, she was suddenly much calmer now.
Looking at Gwen Fox, Yolanda Taylor became more and more sober.
She finally understood why Heather said that to her that day, this deadlock between her and Gwen Fox, there was no point for her to get stuck in it, so it would be better to step back and get out, letting both of them have a way out.
“Ham Rodriguez hasn’t dropped the charges and is packing up the evidence now, but don’t worry, you’ll be out soon.”
Gwen Fox felt as if Yolanda Taylor had changed, he couldn’t quite put his finger on what had changed, it just felt as if she was sitting there, her whole being different from what it used to be.
But this change was not a pleasant one, instead it gave birth to a fear he had never felt before.
Seeing that she didn’t say anything, he subconsciously held her hand, “Dear?”
It was only when she felt her palm being squeezed that Yolanda Taylor looked down at his hand over hers, looked away, and then looked up at Gwen Fox in front of her, “Don’t be too hard on yourself.”
The look on her face as she said this was light, as if she really didn’t care where she would end up.
Gwen Fox’s eyes sank, but she didn’t listen to her words, “This matter, in the final analysis, the mastermind is not you, Ham Rodriguez must pursue the matter, if you bite Heather and don’t let go.”
“Uh-huh.”
Yolanda Taylor answered, her expression somewhat pointless.
After a short twenty minutes, when she came out of detention, Gwen Fox only felt a little chilled throughout.
But this bitter summer heat, the wind outside was blowing dry, how could it be cold? He walked to the door and couldn’t help but look back, remembering Yolanda Taylor who was sitting across from him just now, Gwen Fox suddenly remembered the Yolanda Taylor before that fire.
He just felt his heart shake and an indescribable panic was spreading in his heart.
The news of Yolanda Taylor’s detention was flying around Borden City, and some people were looking at it and others were looking at it.
Most thought that Yolanda Taylor had stirred up a hornet’s nest over an “old flame,” pissing off not only Gwen Fox, but Ham Rodriguez as well.
But only a few people knew what was going on, and those who did didn’t dare talk about it, so until the day Ham Rodriguez dropped the lawsuit, the people of Borden City thought it was Yolanda Taylor who had flipped.
On the day Yolanda Taylor was released, there was a thunderstorm at noon, and she ate lunch and took her clothes and stood under the roof of the detention center, looking at the pouring rain, a little dazed.
She had been in there for several days, but her offense was different from others, and now that the charges had been dropped and the case settled out of court, Yolanda Taylor was released again. Technically speaking, Yolanda Taylor wasn’t a prisoner, so the police officer on duty was quite kind to her: “Mrs. Fox, it’s pouring with rain, come in and sit down for a while before you go. Come in and sit down for a while before you leave.”
Hearing someone call her, Yolanda Taylor inclined her head to look at the person, curved her lips and smiled, didn’t say yes or no, but she stood there and didn’t move.
The rain was really heavy, it was as if someone was pouring water down from above with a basin, clattering, and that curtain of rain made the field of vision much narrower.
Yolanda Taylor saw Gwen Fox walking in with an umbrella in the misty water, he was wearing a black shirt today, his whole body was black from head to toe, holding a big black umbrella coming through the rain and fog, and as she got closer, Yolanda Taylor realized it was him.
As she stood there, she suddenly remembered that year, it was raining just as hard, but it wasn’t Gwen Fox who was walking through the rain and fog with an umbrella, it was her.
It was her junior year of college, and while there were fewer classes at school, there were still some required classes that were more rigorous, and she had to go back to school.
She happened to have two classes on Friday afternoon, and that day it was also raining so hard, but Gwen Fox said she had a dinner party with a friend, and all the students around her were waiting for the rain to subside before they left, and she was the only one who ran down the steps with an umbrella, and when she ran to the car parked on the side of the school road, she was already wet for a big part of her body.
She didn’t say anything then, and Gwen Fox didn’t seem to realize that the car just drove off to the club, and it was only when Jerome Perot finally asked that Gwen Fox had someone find her new clothes.
After many years, she looked at the Gwen Fox walked to the front, do not know why, only feel the heart is still depressed and difficult: “That day you really did not find me wet?”
