Yolanda Taylor huffed back, “Phone!”
The cell phone on the side was still ringing, but Gwen Fox had no intention of answering it, and all she could do was watch as the screen faded a little, until it finally went completely dark.
When it was over, Yolanda Taylor was all limp, she didn’t want to move, but her body was mushy.
Although the air conditioning was turned on in the summer room, both of them were sweating a lot.
Gwen Fox hugged her and reached out to turn on the light.
The light instantly illuminated the entire dim room, and she subconsciously blocked her eyes.
Gwen Fox looked down at her, and it was rare that she wasn’t as cold as that, her cheeks flushed red in her face, and her whole person changed.
It reminded him of those days before they’d split up, when Yolanda Taylor would still be shy, embarrassed to let him look after each time despite all that time.
Sometimes when he held her back and she couldn’t get away, she’d hug him and stick to him.
The knot in Gwen Fox’s throat rolled at the thought.
“Dear.”
He called out to her carefully, and at the sound of his voice, Yolanda Taylor stirred, “I’m going to wash up.”
Today had really scared her, and she didn’t have the heart to be bothered with Gwen Fox for a while.
“I’ll carry you in.”
His voice was deep, like gravel, rolling inside one’s heart.
Yolanda Taylor was stunned for a moment, looking up at him, not saying yes or no, just reaching out and wrapping her arms around him as he carried herself up.
There was a bathtub inside the bathroom, but this was a hotel, and there was no telling how many people had used that tub.
Yolanda Taylor was a bit of a clean freak and she didn’t want to use it, helping Gwen Fox stand under the shower.
Her hair has not been cut for a long time, this period of time is busy, a swing more than two months of time did not even go to repair the end of the hair, and now scattered down, the hair has not been over half waist.
Gwen Fox reached down and fished out her hair, “I’ll wash it for you.”
She was very tired, her head was still a little dizzy, although her consciousness cleared up, but she was still a little groggy, if it wasn’t for holding Gwen Fox, she probably wouldn’t have been able to stand up.
“Uh-huh.”
Yolanda Taylor answered not softly and not heavily, her voice was not loud, the sound of the shower almost covered her answer, but Gwen Fox lowered her head, she just grunted, and he heard it clearly.
Dark eyes flickered, and Gwen Fox couldn’t help but let her hand tremble.
It had been a long time since she’d been this docile in his arms, and today he couldn’t tell for a moment if he was in a dream or in reality.
After getting out of the shower, Yolanda Taylor was carried by Gwen Fox to the side of the bed.
She was much clearer by this time, reaching out to catch the towel in front of her, and looked up at Gwen Fox, “I’d like to blow-dry my hair.”
“I’ll get the blow dryer.”
“Uh-huh.”
Yolanda Taylor watched his back, a little lost in thought.
The events of the day, both the beginning and the way it was now were not something she had thought about, and she was tired as a whole and didn’t have that much energy to think about it.
“I’ll have some food brought over.”
Gwen Fox handed her the blow dryer after bringing it out, and Yolanda Taylor reached for it, nodding once.
The room was modest, with the bathroom as soon as the door opened in the foyer, a closet on the other side, and a couch and table set next to the bed, probably about thirty square meters in size.
Gwen Fox stood in the doorway, as soon as he turned around he saw her looking at him, he didn’t know what she was thinking, seeing her looking at him, he subconsciously asked, “What’s wrong?”
Yolanda Taylor shook her head, didn’t say a word, and plugged the blow dryer into the jack next to the bed, the blow dryer “buzzing” loudly.
Gwen Fox made a trip into the bathroom and quickly came out, grabbing her cell phone to check on the incoming call and then ordering some food before returning the call to Lewis.
Lewis had been waiting for Gwen Fox’s call, and after that earlier call didn’t go through, he didn’t dare call again for fear of disturbing Gwen Fox and Yolanda Taylor together.
It had to be said that Lewis was able to stay by Gwen Fox’s side for so many years for a reason.
The room was just a little bit bigger, and Gwen Fox could only make a call in front of that floor-to-ceiling window.
He dialed the number, raised his hand and pulled the curtains open, the darkness outside, looking past the stars, the sky was already all dark, it was getting late.
Lewis answered the phone quickly, “President Fox?”
“How are things?”
Lewis had been apprehensive, heard Gwen Fox this voice, he could not figure out the joy and anger, back to some careful: “Things have been suppressed, just this thing, in the circle inside spread.” Not the obvious thing, he can’t go one by one to tell others, don’t say this thing with a big mouth, right? Gwen Fox glanced at Yolanda Taylor, who was sitting on the bed blow-drying her hair, and responded coolly “Well, put me on an appointment with Augustus.”
Lewis froze for a moment, but he quickly responded, “I got it, President Fox.”
Hanging up the phone, Gwen Fox looked down at the phone in her hand, her face a little cold.
Only after a long time did he raise his head and walked over to the edge of the bed and sat down, “I’ve asked Lewis to make an appointment with Angela her brother, do you want to go with me to meet him?”
Hearing him say this, Yolanda Taylor turned off her blow dryer.
She looked at Gwen Fox in front of her for half a second before she spoke, “See.”
She wanted to say no, but she couldn’t swallow it.
Angela this person in front of her eyes disgusted her is not a day or two, since Gwen Fox is willing to help her clean up the person, then she is still pretentious what.
Anyway, Gwen Fox forced her to do things also more, she should hate him or hate him, also will not because of such a thing to admit his love can be forgiven.
But Gwen Fox was obviously in a good mood, he looked at Yolanda Taylor, his eyebrows slightly raised, and he gave a rare smile, “I’ll take you there after the appointment.”
“Uh-huh.”
She turned the blow dryer back on to blow dry her hair.
When Yolanda Taylor’s hair was seventy to eighty percent dry, just as the food arrived.
She had been tired, not hungry, but now that she smelled the food, her stomach growled before she could react.
Gwen Fox, who was in the process of arranging the dishes, heard this sound and slightly raised her eyebrows, “Hungry?”
“Hungry.”
She gave him a faint look and started to unpack herself.
She hadn’t eaten much during lunch, and after being set up by Angela, not to mention that Gwen Fox had dragged her around for so long, it was impossible not to be hungry.
Yolanda Taylor was hungry, but her appetite was not very good, she ate slowly, and when she felt a few warmth inside her stomach, she didn’t want to eat.
Today’s events did scare her, if Angela was a little more disgusting, Yolanda Taylor didn’t know if she would have the courage to face reality when she woke up.
She put her chopsticks down and looked at Gwen Fox in front of her, “Didn’t you think much of Primo Jones being here before you got here?”
Gwen Fox didn’t expect her to ask that question, he looked up at her and tried to say no, but was still a little weak.
“I worry about you.”
With that, he paused, “And miss you.”
Yolanda Taylor had asked casually; after all, Angela’s goal was to make a scene to get her inside and out.
Gwen Fox’s answer didn’t bother her; she let go of her chopsticks and leaned back on the couch, a little lost in thought.
