Yolanda Taylor retrieved the IOUs and was about to close the box when she accidentally knocked it over on her way up.
Various small items inside fell out, the wad of old coins fell out in disarray, and Kipling Taylor’s watch had its screen shattered by the fall.
Yolanda Taylor frowned a little, her eyes reddening a little as she looked at the watch.
She remembered that when she was naughty as a child, she purposely slowed down her father’s watch, thinking that this would allow her father to spend more time with her at home, but she didn’t want to cause her father to be late for work and be scolded by the leader for more than half an hour.
In spite of this, Kipling Taylor never said a word to her, and when she got home, she only asked her to stop doing that next time, and expressed her guilt that next time her father would take time off from work to go to kindergarten with her.
Although their family is not rich, but her mom and dad also really spoiled her like a princess ah!
Yolanda Taylor repacked her things and put them back inside the box, it was after two o’clock and she hadn’t eaten her lunch after all the fuss from Mrs. Linda.
She closed the window, grabbed her things, and then went downstairs to find something to eat.
Just after ordering a set meal, inside WhatsApp, Heather suddenly asked her if she was free, let’s meet the two of them.
Yolanda Taylor was not in a very good mood, she actually did not want to see Heather, but soon, the other party popped a voice over.
It probably meant that she wasn’t in a very good mood and wanted to find someone to keep her company.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t know how she found herself, but thinking about Ham Rodriguez, she suddenly felt that Heather was like herself four or five years ago.
She didn’t say anything and just sent a location.
Fifteen minutes later, a red sports car pulled into the parking lot outside the window display.
Quite a few people looked over when Heather came in.
She wasn’t wearing a cheongsam today, she was modest, jeans with a black sweater and long legged boots.
People were soon in front of her, and Heather sat down directly across from her, “That’s all you’re having, huh?”
Yolanda Taylor had already eaten, she took a sip of water and wiped her lips before looking over at her, “Not much of an appetite.”
Heather lifted a hand to her chin and looked at her for a moment, “You don’t seem to be in a very good mood either.”
She nodded, “Too many bad things lately.”
“Coincidentally, so have I.”
She said, suddenly offering to, “Wanna go horseback riding?”
Gwen Fox had taken her riding a couple times before, but she hadn’t been on a horse in a long time.
“Sure.”
It was a nice day, and the sun was all warm.
It was as if Heather really just wanted some company, and after the two of them went to the stable, she asked if she could ride, and after Yolanda Taylor nodded, she lifted her hand and with a crack of the whip, rode out.
Yolanda Taylor rushed to catch up with her, and in the large stable, she could hear Heather cursing, “Ham Rodriguez the big dumbass, Ham Rodriguez the asshole, Ham Rodriguez the scum, Ham Rodriguez you go eat shit! ”
She was so loud that everyone around her looked over, but Heather didn’t care.
She never repeated her curse words, and Yolanda Taylor rode after her, unable to stop laughing at the sound of it.
After half an hour, Heather was probably tired, she stopped her horse, and then looked at her with her head inclined, “Aren’t you in a bad mood? Do what I do, let it out and you’ll feel better.”
Yolanda Taylor smiled and shook her head, “I’m in a much better mood now.”
Heather raised an eyebrow, “Is it because of me?”
She didn’t deny it, but she didn’t admit it either.
Heather didn’t seem to mind and looked at her for a moment, “You’re a good horseman, why don’t we compare laps?”
“Okay.”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t really have any desire to compete, it was just that galloping a horse could really make you feel good.
“It’s no fun just competing, why don’t we place a bet?”
Yolanda Taylor guessed that she wanted her to help with something and couldn’t help but smile a little, “What kind of bet?”
“If I win, you do something for me, if you win, I do something for you. As long as it’s not something illegal like killing and setting fire, anything.”
“Fine.”
Yolanda Taylor had only ridden a horse four or five times, but her horsemanship was so good that even her original trainer had teased her that she had probably grown up as a prairie elf on horseback in her previous life, or else how could she have learned to be so fast and steady.
Heather was confident as the two went back to square one and Yolanda Taylor called for the start.
As soon as her words fell, the two horses ran out together.
Gwen Fox used to compete with her back in the day, and Jerome Perot said that horseback riding is kind of Gwen Fox’s second love, and he has a couple of good horses here at the barn.
Ham Rodriguez and Jerome Perot were basically left behind when they compared with Gwen Fox, so when Gwen Fox proposed to compete with Yolanda Taylor, Jerome Perot even laughed and scolded Gwen Fox for bullying people.
In the end, Yolanda Taylor lost, but there is a difference between losing and losing.
Yolanda Taylor was the only one who had raced against Gwen Fox for so many years and was half a horse slower.
Since then, Jerome Perot never said the trainer was bragging about her.
On the return leg, Yolanda Taylor was two to three meters ahead of Heather, and still had hope to catch up, but she suddenly accelerated, and the distance between the two of them got further and further away.
Yolanda Taylor had run so many laps that she was already sweating a little when she stopped.
Heather strangled her horse and stopped beside her, “Can’t tell, Miss Taylor.”
Yolanda Taylor laughed a little, “I raced Gwen Fox when I only lost him by half a length.”
Heather raised an eyebrow, “Then you’re really good!”
She laughed, leading her horse along in a nonchalant manner, “What do you want me to do for you?” “Didn’t I lose?”
“But that doesn’t stop me from helping you.”
Heather froze for a moment, looking at Yolanda Taylor with surprisingly little reaction.
After a few seconds, she suddenly cursed, “Gwen Fox the blind bastard!”
She said, and somehow her eyes turned red, “If I had known you a few years earlier, I definitely wouldn’t have let Gwen Fox bully you like that.”
“Thanks.”
As the sky grew darker and the wind picked up, Heather suggested going back.
After exiting the stable, Heather held out a cigarette, “Mind?”
Yolanda Taylor shook her head, “Don’t mind.”
“Ugh.”
Heather sighed, “With a personality like yours, if I were a guy, I’d marry you and spoil you like a baby.”
Good-looking and so gentle, Heather thought Gwen Fox had really lost her mind to do this to Yolanda Taylor back then.
She lowered her head and lit her cigarette before slowly starting the car, “I do want to ask you for a favor, but it’s not exactly a favor, I should say it’s a collaboration.”
Yolanda Taylor raised an eyebrow, “Hmm?”
“I know Ham Rodriguez has been competing with a real estate company for a piece of land lately, the bidding starts in mid-April, and I don’t want Ham Rodriguez to get that land.”
Heather said and paused, “Gwen Fox and Ham Rodriguez want to use that land for a project, up to ten billion dollars. I also know that Primo Jones wants that land too, but President Jones he-” At that moment, Yolanda Taylor’s cell phone rang and she glanced at Heather, “I’ll take a call.”
