Chapter 65 What could he do?

After the nurse left, it was quiet inside the hospital room.
Most of the patients who came to this community hospital received their medication and left, and it was rare for them to come straight into the hospital fainting like this.
Probably after some glucose, Yolanda Taylor’s headache is not that bad.
At this time, Gwen Fox on top of the hospital bed was sleeping deeply, and it was only now that she noticed that his face was a bit pale.
She hadn’t seen Gwen Fox for a week since that night.
She’d thought he’d really taken her words at face value, and now it seemed that wasn’t the case.
Yolanda Taylor suddenly remembered the woman who had suddenly tugged at her in front of the hospital, and by the sound of that woman’s accent, she wasn’t from Oman City.
The nurse had just said that Gwen Fox was still wearing her hospital gown, so had Gwen Fox run away from the hospital?
She was just lost in thought when Gwen Fox on the hospital bed suddenly coughed.
Yolanda Taylor came back to her senses, and as soon as she looked down, she met those deep black eyes.
His thin lips were a little white, and he frowned a little, “Are you okay?”
Yolanda Taylor looked at him for half a second before she spoke, “I should be the one asking you that.”
He coughed twice more, a low, muffled, heavy cough that was hard to hear and follow.
“I’m fine.”
Gwen Fox answered faintly, glancing at his left hand on which he had stuck a needle, he didn’t pull out the needle, but just propped himself up on the bed and sat up, “Are you hungry?”
It was already a little after noon at this point after all the fuss.
Yolanda Taylor was on an IV and didn’t feel very hungry.
She pursed her lips and didn’t answer this question of his, “What will it take for you to let me go?”
“I’ll get you some porridge.”
He said, about to reach down and pull out the needle.
Yolanda Taylor frowned a little and spoke quickly, “No need! Just order takeout!”
Gwen Fox’s movements paused for a moment, inclined his head to look at her, withdrew his hand that was about to pull out the needle, took out his cell phone and handed it to her.
“I don’t have much of an appetite.”
She didn’t take it, and he didn’t continue to make things difficult, looking down and tapping inside his phone several times before looking back up at her.
Gwen Fox had very nice eyes, deep and evocative, and when he looked at people, they could easily get lost inside those eyes of his as soon as they looked up and met his gaze.
Right now, he was looking straight at her.
There was no way for Yolanda Taylor to ignore his line of sight, and she couldn’t help but raise her head to look at him, “Can you not stop looking at me?”
Hearing her words, his dark eyes moved slightly, Gwen Fox withdrew his gaze and looked down at the distance of the takeout inside his cell phone before looking back up at her.
But Yolanda Taylor inclined her head, her face a little cold, obviously not wanting to communicate with him.
Fifteen minutes later, the nurse came in to remove Yolanda Taylor’s needle and change Gwen Fox’s bottle of medicine.
Yolanda Taylor took her bag and glanced at Gwen Fox, “I’m going back.”
“Wait.”
He said, reaching down and already pulling his own needle out.
Yolanda Taylor felt like she was holding a fire and wanted to let it out, but she didn’t know what to do about it.
She withdrew her eyes and lifted her leg to walk quickly out the door.
The man kept following behind her, not moving an inch.
After entering the neighborhood, she finally couldn’t hold back a bit and turned back to look at him coldly: “Gwen Fox, were you this selfish before?”
Hearing her words, Gwen Fox stiffened for a moment.
Yolanda Taylor, however, didn’t intend to show any mercy, “Do you think you’re being very affectionate and touching like this? But have you ever considered my feelings? I’ve already forgotten about everything in the past, about you, about what happened between us. Who are you trying to touch by following like this now?”
“Touched me? Let me tell you, I don’t feel touched in any way right now, I only feel that you are disgusting me you know? You’re so bent on satisfying your own personal selfishness, so you follow me like this regardless of whether or not it bothers me. You said you wanted to see me so you came downstairs in my house to keep watch, but did you ever think I wanted to see you?”
She said, pausing for a moment, her voice suddenly lowered, “And, between the two of us, do you think, back?”
After saying that, Yolanda Taylor gave him a deep look, and this time, without looking back, she ran all the way into the building.
Gwen Fox was pinned in place by her words, and suddenly felt as if he couldn’t move.
“Gwen Fox, have you ever been this selfish before?”
It had to be said that even though Yolanda Taylor had lost her memory, she still knew him.
He knew that he was, from start to finish, the selfish one.
But what could he do? He had just come of age when he heard that his parents had died instantly in a car accident, and he had to force himself to face that fact before he could even have a bar mitzvah.
And it was for his bar mitzvah back then that his parents had caught a flight back overnight, just to say happy birthday to him before his eighteenth.
He didn’t wait for that happy birthday, but only waited for two miserable corpses.
Everyone says it’s hard to see love in a rich family, but his mom and dad loved and respected each other all his life. Before he turned eighteen, Gwen Fox was the envied Young Master Fox in his circle, but after eighteen, he was reduced to a lone star in other people’s mouths.
In those three years with her, he didn’t even know what was real and what was not.
Later on, he had also tried to reconcile with himself, or just let it go, but in the end, it was still not possible.
That car accident became his demon, he was dragged down to hell in one night, just always trying to find someone else to bury with him.
When he was at his most irrational, he thought of sending the whole family to hell, but in the end, he still endured, he couldn’t forgive himself for falling in love with his enemy’s daughter, and he couldn’t accept this fact.
Kipling Taylor deserved to be paralyzed for ten years, but his parents’ lives were cut short, and the Taylor family could not afford to pay for that.
What’s more, later on, she had been so cruel as to abort their child.
He’d hated her, but even more, he’d never thought she’d die.
After Kipling Taylor died, his hate seemed to suddenly blur.
That day he took her mom, he just wanted her to stay, he never actually thought that he would do it to her mom.
But he hadn’t expected that Petra would run away, and even more so, that something would happen to Petra.
Petra was dead when she was dead, and he thought he’d feel good watching her vocally suffer, but half the time he didn’t.
At that moment, he suddenly didn’t know what else he hated.
But before he could figure it out, she caught him off guard.
The fire was like it burned away the past, and it wasn’t until he saw her charred body that he realized, but it was too late.
She had said she wanted him to remember her for the rest of his life, and she had really succeeded.
For the three years he’d been away, he’d really thought Yolanda Taylor was dead, and he’d gone to every church in the world, praying and repenting that he’d meet her again after he died.
He never believed in fate, but after the fire, he only believed in fate.
Then God guided him to meet her again, but she had forgotten everything that had happened before, and he didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.
Once he thought it was a good thing, but now it seemed like it was actually a bad thing.
The snow kept drifting down, there were snowflakes falling on his face, cold and piercing, but it wasn’t as cold as his heart.
She wasn’t dead, but she was disgusting even when he looked at her from afar.
