Book:Welcome To My Life Published:2024-6-3

It’s day five.
Gwen Fox had been waiting outside Yolanda Taylor’s apartment for five days now, but she still couldn’t see her.
She’d done the same thing the last time she hadn’t come back for almost a week.
He’d assumed she’d had to travel for work, so she hadn’t come back.
But as the sixth day, the seventh day, the eighth day, and on and on until half a month later, he still couldn’t see the door to that apartment being opened, he realized that Yolanda Taylor had moved away to avoid him.
He walked over to a railing that looked down on an empty lot from where it was snowing in Oman City today, and the flakes kept coming down, some even drifting onto him as the wind blew over.
He didn’t bother, just lowered his head and lit a cigarette, squinting at the flurry of snowflakes outside, and for some reason, the bottom of his eyes suddenly turned into a ball of fire.
He saw the fire, Yolanda Taylor stood on the second floor and told him that she hated him for the rest of her life.
A lifetime?
Now it’s only half a month, he can’t stand it already, a lifetime is so long, what should he do? Yolanda Taylor had had a comfortable few days, she hadn’t run into Gwen Fox since the move.
And these days, she had stopped having those fragmented dreams.
Since that Netflix wedding the other day, their studio was completely on fire, and so was Yolanda Taylor.
Now a lot of people want Yolanda Taylor to help plan weddings, Yolanda Taylor just bought a suite with full payment, and originally had empty deposits, and now there are so many orders, she picks the ones that pay a lot to take.
Of course, this is for out-of-town clients, but locally, she still tries to take on as many as she can.
But her schedule was limited, and lately, in order to make money, she’d taken on two out-of-town projects and four Oman City shows.
Dika Rothstein had laughed at her when she found out and told her that she was crazy about money, and she was, indeed, a little crazy about money right now, because she didn’t have any.
Taryn used to worry about Yolanda Taylor taking breaks, but now she’s a little worried about her taking on so much work.
After Yolanda Taylor heard this, she cried and laughed, “What are you thinking about? I am just thinking that it’s almost Christmas, so I’ll hurry up and take a few more orders, so that I can celebrate the New Year! Don’t you want more year-end bonus?”
As soon as she heard the year-end bonus, Taryn didn’t talk about her, but often prepared red dates and wolfberries for her, as well as a variety of health teas, and at night when the time was almost up, she was like a clockwork alarm clock calling her to go to rest and sleep.
Yolanda Taylor every night before twelve o’clock, she was whisked back to sleep, but fortunately her neighborhood from the studio where the building is very close, walk over but five minutes time.
So Yolanda Taylor is now simply in the studio working on her projects, not bothering to move her computer around.
In Taryn’s words, life is life and work is work, so don’t let work take up too much of your life.
Yolanda Taylor couldn’t talk her down and was only able to listen to her.
“Yolanda elder sister, it’s eleven o’clock, you should go back to take a shower and rest.”
Yolanda Taylor glanced at Taryn and was a bit helpless, “You and your boyfriend should go back first, I’ll take another look at this guest’s request.”
“No, I have to wait until you leave.”
Yolanda Taylor raised an eyebrow, “You’re not afraid Andrew will have a problem with that, are you?”
“Would he dare?”
Don’t look at Taryn, she’s usually gentle and soft, but when she talks about her boyfriend, she looks different.
Yolanda Taylor watched and smiled a little, “Okay, listen to you.”
She was embarrassed to work late when people’s young lovers were here waiting for her.
“Then Yolanda elder sister go back soon, we are leaving too!”
“Got it got it!”
Yolanda Taylor took a copy of the planner, picked up the bag on the side, got up and headed out.
This late winter night was cold, it had snowed half a month ago, but lately it hadn’t snowed, just rained, but the rain was also cold enough to make people shiver.
She forgot to bring an umbrella, but also too lazy to go back to get, directly to the down jacket hat to their head a pocket, and then walked quickly to the neighborhood.
Opposite the building and then go inside is the entrance to the neighborhood, late at night, there are not many cars on the road.
When an umbrella suddenly appeared above her head, she subconsciously took a few steps back.
When she turned her head, she saw a strange and somewhat familiar face.
It was Gwen Fox.
It took two seconds before Yolanda Taylor recognized it.
Her face went cold, “Why are you here?”
“I haven’t seen you in twenty days.”
The beard on his face was shaved off, revealing a polished chin that appeared to be a more defined face.
Those dark eyes were deep and bottomless, and emotions tumbled within them as he looked down at her.
“I don’t mean to disturb you, just let me see you.”
Probably because he saw her avoiding him, he didn’t make a move and just stood there, his voice was a little raspy when he opened his mouth, like a traveler who had been walking inside the desert for a few days and nights.
Yolanda Taylor looked at him, the rain fluttering on top of her head, she knew she should be ruthless, but for some reason, she couldn’t be ruthless.
“You need to stop this, Gwen Fox, we should all have our own lives.”
The green light ahead of her came on and she lifted her leg to walk along the crosswalk.
Gwen Fox followed her forward, tentatively passing her umbrella over her head.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t duck this time; she just inclined her head to look at him.
He was wearing a thin black duffle coat, the rain on it glinting silver in the light.
She was going to speak up and tell him to go back, but for some reason the words that came out were, “You’ll catch a cold if you get caught in the rain on such a cold day.”
“Doesn’t matter.”
He said it lightly, only the line of sight looking at her was hot.
He had been half a meter away from her, the umbrella was all over her head, and his whole body was exposed to the rain.
After walking across the street, Yolanda Taylor pursed her lips and moved to his side.
Her hand holding the papers was already freezing red, and Gwen Fox glanced over, “Why don’t I hold the papers for you?”
Yolanda Taylor glanced up at his hand holding the umbrella, the bony hand red and not much better than hers.
She shook her head a little and picked up her pace.
Soon she was at the entrance to the neighborhood.
“I’m here, it won’t take long to get inside.”
“I’ll walk you in.”
He said, paused, and then added, “I’ll be back once I walk you in.”
Yolanda Taylor’s words just reached her mouth and just got stuck, in the end she could only nod.
The security guard recognized her and opened the door for her from a distance.
Yolanda Taylor said thank you, probably because she was lonely late at night, the security guard asked, “Miss Taylor, your boyfriend?”
Yolanda Taylor smiled, “No, friend.”
“Oh oh oh, it’s so late, take an early rest!” “Good, then you keep warm too.”
She withdrew her eyes and realized that Gwen Fox was looking at her from the side.
Yolanda Taylor was just about to speak when she heard him say, “You haven’t smiled like that in a while.”
