Chapter 56 I’ve been waiting for you all night.

Oman City was quiet in the wee hours of a winter night, and there wasn’t even a soul downstairs from Yolanda Taylor’s apartment.
Dika Rothstein hesitated inside his car for a moment before finally not calling to wake her up.
He had just come from the airport and had been out of town for three or four days, and he didn’t know why he wanted to see her, but he couldn’t bear the thought of driving all the way out here.
Dika Rothstein laughed and cursed himself for his lack of talent and was about to back up and walk away when he saw a man suddenly walk out of that apartment door.
With just one glance, he knew who that person was.
Gwen Fox.
Days of pent-up emotions exploded in this instant, and he finally couldn’t help himself, pushing open the car door and getting out of the car, walking straight toward him, “Gwen Fox!”
In the cold wind, his teeth-clenching voice seemed to hate to grind Gwen Fox’s flesh and blood.
Gwen Fox’s brow twitched at the sound of someone calling out to him, and when he looked up, he realized it was an acquaintance, Dika Rothstein.
“Did you take her?”
As soon as he spoke, Dika Rothstein’s blazing fist swung at him, “Who are you to question me, Gwen Fox!”
Gwen Fox slightly deflected his head to avoid Dika Rothstein’s fist, then side-stepped to avoid his downward sweeping leg.
Both men had a lot of pent up resentment, but in a moment they were fighting.
It was a late winter night, and no one was out in the middle of the night, and both men came out hard.
Dika Rothstein had been a gangster for nearly ten years, and he had never lost a fight to anyone.
Although Gwen Fox also practiced, but his actual combat where compared to Dika Rothstein, not to mention that he practiced is the hall style, while Dika Rothstein’s moves are vicious, moves are against his life door to hit the past.
Within minutes, though, Gwen Fox had been punched twice by her opponent.
“Why are you even in her sight, haven’t you victimized her enough?!”
“It’s none of your business what I do with her!”
Dika Rothstein sneered, “Is it? If it wasn’t for me in the first place, do you think you would still be able to see her now? Do you know how I carried her out from inside the fire back then? Her clothes were already on fire, and I was going to take her away, and she wouldn’t, and she was dead set on that threshold to let me go. Gwen Fox!!! You’re the one who killed her, you!”
“When I got her out of the fire, she was out of breath and out of breath, she was in a coma before she got to the hospital, and I guarded her for three days and three nights, three days and three nights!”
Remembering the past, Dika Rothstein let out a cry of rage, using maximum force in each punch.
If he could, he wanted to kill Gwen Fox, literally.
Hearing his words, Gwen Fox’s entire body froze, and he didn’t fight back anymore as Dika Rothstein’s fists landed on his body, hurting.
But then he remembered the gut-wrenching pain he’d felt that day when he’d opened his eyes and seen nothing but the charred body of Yolanda Taylor.
It was nothing compared to that.
Dika Rothstein snorted coldly when she saw he wasn’t resisting, “You think that makes me soft?”
He grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and slammed a fist into his face.
Until a security guard was patrolling, heard the commotion, and came over to pull the two apart.
“Get off me! I’ll kill him!”
Gwen Fox didn’t have a good part of her face, and the security guard looked shocked, “Sir, are you okay, do you need us to take you to the hospital?”
He didn’t say anything, he just raised his hand and pushed the guard away, stumbling to his feet, holding onto a wall.
Dika Rothstein was being held down by the security guard and couldn’t move Gwen Fox, so she could only shout angrily, “Gwen Fox, if you dare to appear in front of her eyes again, I’ll beat you up every time I see you!”
Gwen Fox took a cigarette out, lowered his head and lit it up, squinting his swollen eyes to look at Dika Rothstein, who was not far away from him, who was furious as if defeated, and suddenly laughed a little bit, “Then, I can only tell you that as long as I’m still alive, I’ll definitely appear in front of her eyes.”
“Gwen Fox!”
Dika Rothstein was so furious that the veins on his forehead rose in all directions, he didn’t know where the brute force came from, and as soon as he broke away from the security guard who was clasping and straddling him behind his back, he rushed straight to the front of Gwen Fox’s eyes, and lifted his hand and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, “You want to die!”
Gwen Fox took a drag on his cigarette, “She loves me.”
“You fart! She hated you! She hated you till the day she died!”
Gwen Fox was stunned for a moment and the cigarette in his hand suddenly fell to the ground.
The security guard, afraid that Dika Rothstein would strike again, could only take out his cell phone and prepare to call the police.
Dika Rothstein glared back at the security guards, got into the car, stepped on the gas and left.
The remaining two security guards asked Gwen Fox if she wanted to go to the hospital.
Gwen Fox raised his hand and wiped his nosebleed, “No need.”
He said, suddenly staggered back two steps, looked down at the ground is still bright star flame smoke, “She loves me.”
This sound was so light that it was as if he was suddenly drained of air.
Seeing him like this, the two security guards no longer cared.
Young people these days, they were becoming more and more unintelligible.
Yolanda Taylor had another nightmare, this time she dreamt that she was standing in the middle of the fire, looking at the man’s back as he walked farther and farther away, she screamed at the top of her lungs for him to save her, but he didn’t turn around.
Waking with a start, Yolanda Taylor’s doorbell rang.
She cocked her head and glanced outside, it was already slightly light, it shouldn’t be too early.
The doorbell rang again and she frowned a little, wrapping her coat around her and heading downstairs to answer the door.
“Hello, may I-” She hadn’t finished her sentence when she saw a snotty face, and Yolanda Taylor froze for a moment, half recognizing that the person in front of her was Gwen Fox.
“You’re, Gwen Fox?”
“It’s me.”
He looked down at her, his swollen eyes reduced to a single line.
But despite this, Yolanda Taylor felt him looking at her with some excessive heat.
She subconsciously took a step back, “Mr. Fox, I told you I-”
“Yolanda.”
She tried to close the door, but she didn’t want him to just put his hand in to block it.
Yolanda Taylor was startled for a moment and pulled the door open in a hurry, glancing at his hand, but she didn’t dare move forward because she was afraid of him, “Your hand, is it okay?”
“I have a headache.”
He said, pushing the door tentatively, “Can I come in and get a glass of water?” Yolanda Taylor subconsciously shook her head, but heard him say, “I’ve been waiting at your door all night.”
Yolanda Taylor’s heart trembled, hesitated, and still let him in, “You … forget it, you come in.”
Gwen Fox hooked his lips slightly for a second, but the wound at the corner of his lips pulled out pain, he wanted to frown, and his eyes hurt.
A face that hurt everywhere he moved.
Yolanda Taylor poured him a cup of hot water, “I’m going up to change my clothes.”
She had just woken up and was still wearing her pajamas underneath.
“Uh-huh.”
He answered, his voice a little hoarse.
Yolanda Taylor glanced back at him to make sure he wasn’t going to follow her before she went upstairs to change into a set of clothes and came down.
She sat down across from him, noticing that he seemed to have some serious injuries on his face, and there was a fair amount of blood on his clothes.
Yolanda Taylor asked tentatively, “Are you sure you don’t need to go to the hospital? The way you look, I think a trip to the hospital would be better.”
“Can you accompany me to the hospital?”
Yolanda Taylor subconsciously shook her head, “I’m sorry, Mr. Fox, I’m, I’m scared of you.”
“I know.”
He smiled obscurely and suddenly repeated, “I know.”
For some reason, Yolanda Taylor felt her heart sink a little.
Half a dozen times, she pursed her lips, “I’ll take you to the hospital.”
