Yolanda Taylor ran back to her room as soon as she got out of the elevator, dropping the security lock, she sat on the couch for a while until she slowly eased herself back up, she then called Taryn her.
She didn’t want to stay in Borden City, there was basically nothing left for her to do on the wedding side of things, and she and Taryn video supervised the rest of the decorating setup as well.
Taryn was obviously surprised, but when she heard Yolanda Taylor say that she wasn’t feeling well, she didn’t say anything else, and she also gave Yolanda Taylor a few words of advice, telling her to remember to go to the hospital when she got back.
After hanging up the phone, Yolanda Taylor began to pack her bags.
She came over to this side also has ten days of time, luggage is quite a lot, Yolanda Taylor is not much mood to clean up, casually to the suitcase inside a throw a plug, and then booked the fastest time of a ticket, directly dragging the suitcase on the checkout of the room to go.
See Yolanda Taylor out of the time, Gwen Fox subconsciously want to chase up.
But when he thought of the way she had just seen her pale face, his face stiffened, and in the end, he still held back.
Yolanda Taylor dragged her suitcase out and stopped a cab to go straight to the airport, Gwen Fox followed her and also stopped a cab.
Gwen Fox followed her, and so did Gwen Fox. There were a lot of cabs going from the hotel to the airport, so this time the driver didn’t think there was anything wrong with the cab that was following her, and Yolanda Taylor didn’t know that the other person was following her.
She had booked a flight at 5:00 p. m., and it was just after 2:00 p. m. when she arrived at the airport.
Yolanda Taylor checked in her luggage and emptied out before she remembered that she hadn’t had lunch.
But she wasn’t really in the mood for lunch, so she bought some specialty cookies from some of the gift stores inside the airport, and took them as lunch.
After eating the cookies, Yolanda Taylor intended to go to line up for the security check.
But just as she got up, she saw the man looking at her not far away.
She was so shocked that she took two steps back and accidentally bumped into the man behind her.
“Sorry! Sorry!”
She apologized while subconsciously trying to run.
However, there were so many people in the airport that Yolanda Taylor didn’t run more than a few steps before she was caught up.
She looked at the man in front of her who was tugging on her hand, her face white as paper, “I don’t know you.”
She looked at him and didn’t know why, she just felt her heart sinking and it was a little hard to breathe.
Gwen Fox let go of her hand, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t touch you.”
He said, raised his hands and took a step back.
There was more than a meter between the two people, Yolanda Taylor pinched her palms, holding back the fear inside her heart, “I’m sorry, I really don’t know you.”
Her voice was trembling when she said this, so one could imagine just how much she was afraid of him.
“I know you, your name is Yolanda Taylor.”
Gwen Fox pursed his lips for a second, his eyes watching her closely, as if he was afraid that she would be gone in the next second.
With that, he added, “You had an accident three years ago and lost your memory, didn’t you?”
Yolanda Taylor pursed her lips for a second, knowing that the other party recognized her.
But she didn’t know why, when she saw this man, she either got a headache or felt a sinking feeling in her heart.
She glanced at the man, her eyes meeting those dark eyes again, and the emotions within them startled her.
“You’re- shedding tears.”
The man in front of her looked like he should be thirty years old, so why was he crying all of a sudden when he was that old?
Yolanda Taylor, though afraid of him, changed her words to take care of the other man’s pride.
Gwen Fox raised his hand and wiped his face, “My name is Gwen Fox.”
He said, holding out his hand.
The man’s hand was not much different from that face of his, with many thin calluses on his hand, except that his fingers were well-boned, and they were a very good-looking pair of hands.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t extend her hand, she pursed her lips for a second, “I’m sorry, I don’t remember you, but I don’t think we used to be on very good terms.”
She said, paused, and added slowly, “Because I see you, and it hurts a little here, and here, it’s not very comfortable.”
She pointed first to her temple and then to her chest.
Yolanda Taylor’s words were light, but they landed on his heart with the weight of a million pounds.
Before his giddiness had a chance to recede, he was zapped by the oncoming sting that left him nowhere to run.
The two were silent for a moment, and finally it was Yolanda Taylor who spoke first: “Excuse me, I have to go through security.”
It took Gwen Fox a moment to come to her senses when she heard that, “Where are you now?”
“Oman City.”
Yolanda Taylor was scared of the man in front of her, but when she thought about the fact that he had actually cried in front of her just now, she felt as if she felt some pity for him.
She didn’t remember anything from those three years ago, whether she had a lover or not, what happened between her and her lover those three years ago, she didn’t remember any of it.
Gwen Fox looked at her with a few lingering glances in her eyes, and she wondered if he had been her lover.
“Have you been there the last three years?”
She nodded a little, hesitated, and added, “Gwen Fox, let bygones be bygones, I’m doing fine now.”
She didn’t speak euphemistically, but Gwen Fox had no way of accepting it.
He wanted to say that he couldn’t get over it, yet he knew he wasn’t qualified.
Yolanda Taylor saw that he wasn’t saying anything, she didn’t want to pull any more strings with him here, and with a quick goodbye, she blended into the crowd and walked towards the security checkpoint.
This time, Gwen Fox didn’t follow.
Halfway through her walk, she couldn’t help but turn around and find the man standing there in the crowd looking straight at her.
He didn’t move a muscle, he just looked at her, and there were so many people coming and going around him, but it gave her the illusion that he was alone.
Yolanda Taylor was stunned for a moment, and hurriedly withdrew her gaze, walking quickly towards the security line.
Watching her walk away, Gwen Fox stepped out of the airport and fished a cigarette out of his pocket.
He held the lighter, his hand trembling, the lighter several times, but did not light the cigarette.
In the end, he didn’t light it, and leaned his back against that cold wall, eyes closed, thinking about the past.
“Gwen Fox, the things of the past, let them all pass, I’m doing fine now.”
Couldn’t get past it!
He had banished himself for three years and couldn’t get past it, now he saw her alive and well, how could he get past it.
God had favored him after all, Yolanda Taylor still rejected him despite her amnesia, but she was alive after all.
Alive and breathing the same air as him.
When he thought about that, Gwen Fox felt a little more alive in his heart, which had been silent for three years.
A gust of wind hit him and he reopened his eyes, looking down and lighting his cigarette.
The smell of nicotine drilled into his body, and he remembered the day Yolanda Taylor stood on the second floor of that villa and said to him, “Gwen Fox, I want you to remember for the rest of your life that I hate you, I hate you!”
The corners of his eyes were suddenly wet, and he didn’t raise his hand to wipe them.
As long as she lived, it was fine to hate him.
It was better than the person being gone and him not even having a thought.
