Seeing that it was Gwen Fox, Dika Rothstein’s face instantly grimaced, “I didn’t know that Young Master Fox was so thick-skinned that he actually dared to come to her.”
Gwen Fox lifts her leg and walks in, her eyes landing on Yolanda Taylor’s face in the hospital bed, her brow furrowing for a moment before she looks up at Dika Rothstein, “She still owes me a debt.”
“Is Young Master Fox trying to force her death?”
Gwen Fox grunted, “Force her to die?”
He said and paused, “Wouldn’t that be too cheap for her?”
Dika Rothstein couldn’t help it and cursed, bringing up his hand to strike, Gwen Fox sidestepped it and reached out against his fist, “In what capacity is the Godfather of Dika striking me?”
He said, smiling sarcastically, “She’s good, Martin Anderson before her, you after her.”
“Gwen Fox, are you still a man when you take it out on her for the accident back then?”
Hearing him mention the incident back then, Gwen Fox’s face changed, “Accident? If Kipling Taylor wasn’t drunk driving back then, my parents wouldn’t have died on the spot!”
“But what does this incident have to do with her?!”
“Her last name is Taylor, what do you think it has to do with her?”
“So that’s what-”
A weak female voice came from the bed and both men were stunned for a moment.
Yolanda Taylor propped herself up on the bed and sat up, she tilted her head to look at Gwen Fox, her face a little pale, but there was little emotion in her eyes, “So, do you want me to give this life of mine back to you, Gwen Fox?”
When she said this, her tone didn’t rise and fall half-heartedly, but only carried a few raspy points.
After saying that, she suddenly pulled out the needle, and as soon as she did so, she took the fruit knife that I didn’t know who had put it on the surface of the bedside table to the side, unsheathed the knife, and then walked over to his body and pressed it against her own heart, “Since you hate me so much, I’ll pay you back for my life.”
She said, pulling up his hand, holding the knife and ruthlessly stabbing it down into her heart.
The expected pain didn’t come, and the knife was thrown to the ground by Gwen Fox, who snorted, “It’s easy to die, but I want you to live as if you were dead! Don’t you forget, Yolanda Taylor, you still owe me a child!”
With that, he turned and left the hospital room.
Dika Rothstein watched grimly as Gwen Fox left, and only half a dozen times did he look back at Yolanda Taylor, “So desperate?”
Pressing down his anger, he bent down and picked up the knife and pressed it to the aorta in her neck, “Want to die don’t you?”
The cold touch came from her neck and Yolanda Taylor froze, she looked up at Dika Rothstein, “What are you doing?”
Hearing her words, Dika Rothstein dropped the knife and kicked the hospital bed with her leg, “What am I going to do? What the fuck am I going to do Yolanda Taylor! How many times have I told you that Gwen Fox is not a good person, and how many times have my words fallen on deaf ears?” “You’ve been with him for three years, I’ve waited nine years for you, can’t you open your fucking eyes and look at the person next to you?!”
Dika Rothstein was genuinely pissed off and roared with a fury that sounded as if it could lift the hospital room off the ground.
Yolanda Taylor stared at him in a daze for half a second before squeezing out, “I’m sorry.”
She had always thought that he was only joking when he said he liked it.
“Never mind, I don’t expect you to like me anymore.”
He rubbed his face and looked down to see her standing barefoot on the floor, his face launching back into green, “Aren’t you fucking cold in your bare feet?”
Yolanda Taylor realized she was barefoot at this point, and she sat back down on the hospital bed, glancing at the unfinished IV above her head and hesitantly asking, “Should I call the nurse?”
Dika Rothstein, exasperated and laughing, rang the bell and gave her a look that said, “I’m going out for a cigarette.”
With that, he literally went out.
Yolanda Taylor looked at his back, a little stunned.
She actually wondered why back then, she had chosen Gwen Fox.
If she had chosen Dika Rothstein, would everything have been different?
Yolanda Taylor doesn’t know, she knows that her love was stabbed away by Gwen Fox.
Do you regret it?
Of course.
But in this world, there is no such thing as regret pills.
After that day, Yolanda Taylor stayed in the hospital for two days before her fever subsided.
On the day she was discharged, Dika Rothstein drove over to pick her up.
Yolanda Taylor looked at Dika Rothstein and remembered the bouquet of stars that appeared in front of her house every day when she was eighteen years old, and she couldn’t help but take a step back, “Godfather of Dika, I took a cab.”
Dika Rothstein took the unlit cigarette off her lips and looked at her with a smirk, “What, sick and sober and starting to think of me as a deluge again?”
She shook her head, “No.”
She wasn’t treating him like a flood of animals, she just suddenly felt that Dika Rothstein shouldn’t waste her time with her anymore.
Her love was dead, but his hadn’t even started yet.
That’s just when her cell phone rang.
An unfamiliar number, Yolanda Taylor hesitated and finally answered, “Hello?”
“Yolanda Taylor, you’re not going to blackball me, are you?”
At the sound of Martin Anderson’s voice, she froze, “What blackout, I-”
Here she paused, suddenly remembering the day her cell phone rang and Dika Rothstein looked at it, said it was a sales call, and helped her blackball someone.
Yolanda Taylor pursed her lips, “Young Master Anderson, I’m sorry.”
The sorry was obvious and Martin Anderson on the other side of the phone was silent for a moment, “I respect your choice.”
“Thanks.”
After hanging up the phone, Yolanda Taylor realized that Dika Rothstein hadn’t left yet.
She frowned a little, “Godfather of Dika, go about your business, thank you for the last two days.”
“God fucking thank you, don’t mope, get in the car!”
Dika Rothstein is different from Martin Anderson, he went out to climb and roll around at a young age, and he has always practiced snatching what he can get is his own.
The Fox family is a big and powerful family, plus Yolanda Taylor willingly followed Gwen Fox, he can only be stifled to put up with it.
Now that the two are separated, he is still not out, is he a fool?
Yet Yolanda Taylor didn’t think that much about it.
The information from that night, and Gwen Fox’s words, were like a sharp knife, cutting her entire being open, and she ached and hurt so much that it was almost painful.
Dika Rothstein pushed her into the car as soon as she could, and Yolanda Taylor reacted as she was already buckled in.
Dika Rothstein hit the gas and the car drove away from the hospital.
She inclined her head at him, “Godfather of Dika, I don’t deserve this.”
“You don’t get to say if you’re worth it, I do.”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t say another word, she knew that nothing she said would help, it was like when she had to be with Gwen Fox.
She just didn’t expect that a heart of her own came across his eyes, only to end up being wrestled to pieces by his own hands.
From the beginning to the end, she was the only one who was moved, and everything was just a play for Gwen Fox’s revenge.
