Shourya PoV:
I took Diya to the restaurant. Her mood was still the same. I did wrong by telling her that I loved someone, and it hurt her. It means may be Diya has feelings for me. I should make her realize this sooner.
I observed Diya. Through her expressions, I understood that Diya is scolding me in her mind. Diya is cute in anger. I wanted to kiss her one more time, remembering the taste of her lips. That’s the best thing I have ever tasted.
I thought to propose her in my college days, but I was not earning at that time. So, I postponed my decision to propose her. As she was in the second year of Under Graduation, I thought I could propose her after returning from the IPS training. However, I couldn’t find Diya after completing my training.
I inquired about her, but of no use. Her college principal said that she discontinued her studies as she was caught red-handed in a police raid as a prostitute. My heart had broken knowing that.
I didn’t believe those words, but I was broken because I couldn’t help her when she was in trouble. I didn’t understand what happened to her, but I was sure that she faced the worst. I tried to ask her friends about the contact details, but they started abusing her character.
I couldn’t find her. Mom and dad tried to get me married to which I refused. I loved Diya and was unable to forget her. Meanwhile, Ranveer killed Rajeev. Ranveer was arrested, and I got the posting in Delhi. I took the orders and went to Delhi. Mom was retired from her duties, and dad too shifted to Delhi as the main branch of his business is in Delhi.
I focused on my duty, and I heard Ranveer released from the jail as he was proved innocent. Ranveer tried to meet me, but I didn’t meet him. Within four years, Ranveer became the Central Home Minister, a major shock to me. In my inquiry, I got the information about his criminal activities and how he reached that position at a younger age.
After that, I saw Diya as a journalist who came for a press meet. I felt happy seeing her, and she became a famous journalist very soon with her sincerity and boldness. Fortunately, because of Ranveer, I was forced to marry her without her consent. When Diya asked for the divorce, I felt terrible as I didn’t want to lose her again. But, when she tried to gain my attention and after reading her diary, I am on cloud seven, realizing that she accepted this marriage.
I stared at her face. Her cheeks, lips, nose, everything is so perfect, which can make me lose control. However, I have no lust for her. It’s my love, which is forcing me to take her into my arms and feel her.
“Sir and madam, order please,” the waiter asked, and I came out of my thoughts.
“Please bring two chilli paneer as starter and two Schezwan fried rice,” I ordered.
The waiter left, and Diya looked at me. I realized that I had ordered her favorite food without asking her. I know her likes, but ordering without asking her may create doubt in her about me.
“I am sorry. I forgot to ask you. If you want I will change the order. I have ordered my favourite dishes,” I said.
“No problem. It’s my favourite too,” Diya said.
I know it, my love. I smiled as I succeeded in making her not to doubt me. I was not fond of paneer at all. But after loving Diya, I started eating paneer. Unintentionally I started liking the things which she loves. Once if she accepts me, I will treat her as a princess, and she will be thrilled in my love.
“Shourya, do you still love that girl?” Diya asked, taking a bite of paneer.
“Which girl?” I asked.
“The girl whom you have loved in your college days,” Diya said, crushing the paneer into pieces.
My Diya imagines me in that paneer. What if I am in its place? Very dangerous girl! I looked into her eyes, and there is some magic in those eyes that showed many emotions.
“It’s love and not a crush. Love never fades, Diya. I love her then, now and forever,” I said with lots of love for Diya.
“Is it the reason behind you being single until now?”
“Yes, as I am unable to forget her, I didn’t marry,” I said.
“If you love her that much, then why did you marry me, Shourya?”
I observed people around us staring at us.
“Diya,” I said in a firm tone though I enjoy her anger.
Diya noticed others staring at us.
“I am sorry,” Diya whispered, and I gave a slight smile to her.
“No problem,” I said.
That’s not at all a problem. However, that helped me to understand how to make Diya realize her feelings for me.
DCP Shourya will play a game with his wife by fueling her jealousy and possessiveness to make her fight with me. Sometimes, the fight also has the power to unite the couple.
We reached home, but Diya stopped talking to me. I sat beside her.
“Diya, loving a person is not in my hands. I can’t help. You already know how we both got married. I didn’t get time to tell you about my past love,” I said.
“Loving a person is not in your hands, but stopping your feelings towards a person is in your hands. Shourya, I am mature enough to understand and forget your past love. But I have no maturity to tolerate if you are still in love with someone else,” she said, seriously looking into my eyes.
I stayed calm, seeing her that angry.
“Shourya, I am your wife. You are mine from the moment you tied this knot to me. I want you to be pure both mentally and physically. I can’t say more clearly than this. If you let someone enter into your heart, then I will go away from your life forever. I can’t force you to love me, but it’s my choice to leave you,” Diya said.
Going away from me again?? That’s impossible, Diya. I never let you go from me. I will make you bound to me with our love until my last breath.
I am about to speak, but Diya got a call, and she excused herself from receiving the call.
“I am going out,” Diya said to me.
I nodded.
“I will go alone,” she said again.
“Ok. When will you be back?”
“After a week,” Diya said, shocking me.
So, I am going to miss my Diya for seven days. I agreed and asked her to be careful and call me at any time if she needs my help. She just nodded and left to her work seriously.
