Chapter 627: Pushing

Book:The Blind Wife Published:2024-6-3

Albina felt strange and followed Diana, who was very conscious of her image because the camera was filming her.
Today she got up early, first took a walk around the garden, cut some flower branches and pretended to place them in the living room, then picked up a book, made herself a cup of coffee and sat on the patio.
Albina watched her for a while, finding nothing wrong with her, so she didn’t keep looking and headed for the stairs.
Just as she reached the second floor, she saw Umberto run out of the room.
He was always conscious of his appearance and never went out in his pajamas, neither at the Santangel’s nor at the Espina family’s house. But now he didn’t even change his clothes and ran out of the room.
When he saw Albina, he sighed with relief.
-What’s wrong, did you have a nightmare? -Albina asked worriedly as she ran towards him.
Umberto took two quick steps towards her and hugged her.
-I was scared to death, I thought you had disappeared.
He used to wake up before Albina, and every time he got up she was asleep. But today he couldn’t find Albina anywhere when he woke up.
Umberto was in a cold sweat.
Albina felt the man’s fierce heartbeat and her expression softened, she hugged him back tightly and patted his back.
-I’m here.
-Good,” he said softly as his handsome face buried itself in her neck and rubbed against her affectionately.
The two embraced and didn’t realize the scene had been captured by a camera on the staircase.
Comments brimmed exploded.
-I believe in love again.
-A handsome man and a beautiful woman. They are the perfect couple.
-I died of diabetes!
Adrian was young and used to get up late, and since it was the weekend, he slept a little longer and by the time he woke up, it was already nine o’clock.
He cleaned up in his room and was about to open the door when he noticed a small card placed on the floor of his room.
Adrian looked puzzled. He remembered that the night before that card had not been there and that he should have put it up in the morning.
He picked it up and looked at it.
The card was white, undecorated, just a line asking her to meet him at the pool this afternoon.
It was Albina’s handwriting.
Adrian had seen Albina write, and the handwriting was the same as he had seen last time.
He was confused because they were all at home and could be seen as soon as they opened the door, so he didn’t understand why Albina had to write a paper asking him to meet her.
Adrian thought for a while and decided that it was probably because Albina had a secret to tell him.
At this thought, his face filled with excitement, as if he was the only one sharing a secret with Albina.
Adrian put the card in his pocket and opened the door with a smile.
-Albina must have written it down.
The family knew he couldn’t swim and was afraid of water, but Albina couldn’t know that because she had recently returned home. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have asked him to meet her at the pool.
At lunchtime, Albina noticed that the curly-haired boy kept looking at her with a smile.
When she looked his way, the boy winked at her as if in some sort of code word.
Albina thought he was being childish and smiled at him, but to her surprise, the expression on Adrian’s face got even more excited at the sight of that smile.
Diana was sitting off to the side and was blocking the camera because of her eating position. When she saw Albina and Adrian’s interaction, a grimace crossed her eyes.
Albina finished her meal with a puzzled look on her face and was about to talk to the boy about his mealtime antics when she realized he had disappeared.
-Albina,” Umberto said affectionately as he walked over and took her by the shoulders. I’m going out for a while later, so go for a walk in the garden, but don’t sit all the time, you’ve been having digestion problems for a while.
-Okay, I know,” Albina glanced shyly at the camera and pushed Umberto’s back. Don’t worry and go.
As the months passed, Umberto became more and more worried about everything, which made Albina feel happy and helpless at the same time.
Once Umberto left, Albina walked alone to the garden, taking a slow stroll along the paths.
As her mind wandered about something, she suddenly saw Diana enter a building next to the garden.
Just as two servants passed by, Albina hurriedly stopped them, pointed to the building and asked:
-What’s inside that building? What’s it for?
She remembered that no cameras had been installed in that house before the show started filming, and wasn’t Diana the star of the show? How could she go there when she should have known where there were more cameras?
-Miss, that’s the family pool. Since it’s been cold lately, few people from the family go there, so it’s normal that she doesn’t know about it.
Albina had a puzzled expression. Adrian had not taken her there when she had asked him to guide her to familiarize herself with the Espina family environment.
She was worried and her mouth was unconsciously mumbling.
The two maids heard her and explained with a smile:
-Of course Master Adrian wouldn’t take her there. He is not a very good swimmer, he is terrified of water and simply avoids pools.
The two people left after that.
Albina frowned, remembering the way Adrian had winked at her during lunch and disappeared afterwards. She had a bad feeling.
She also didn’t understand the reason why Diana would go to a pool where hardly anyone went in and there were no cameras.
Thinking about this, Albina went to the pool.
Adrian was standing at the edge of the pool, frowning as he looked into a pool of crystal clear water.
It struck him as odd that the pool was full when no one came swimming in the last few days, and from the clarity of the water, it must have been freshly set.
-Could it be that Albina wanted to swim and put the water in on purpose?
Adrian knelt down and lifted the water out of the pool, looking torn.
If Albina was calling him to come swimming, he would die of embarrassment because he didn’t know how to swim.
He was worrying about what to say to Albina when suddenly he was pushed from behind, and Adrian fell in surprise into the water.
There was a loud splash.
Adrian was in deep water, out of reach of the bottom of the pool because of his size, and he was in a panic, lurching desperately.
-Help! Help!
