Doria sighed heavily at Diana’s surprised look.
-I didn’t expect it either, but it came out of Adrian’s mouth by accident.
-By accident? Yes, of course! -Diana scoffed.
If Adrian had been a normal child he might have been careless, but Diana had known Adrian very well for many years.
She knew that Adrian was very intelligent, sometimes understood more than adults and had a lot of character.
Suddenly, Diana remembered that when she was deliberately denigrating Albina in front of the group of ladies, Adrian was following Hector.
Adrian was there to listen and watch as she was exposed and reprimanded by Hector.
“Adrian has surely already seen my intentions and that’s why he deliberately said this to avenge Albina!”
Diana thought, her fists clenched tightly.
She was on guard against Albina and Hector, but in the end, it was Adrian who delivered a killing blow.
Once she understood the situation, Diana released Doria and entranced into the living room, just in time to see Adrian standing at the entrance to the staircase.
He was still in his little party suit, looking sophisticated and cute, but in Diana’s eyes, he was a living demon.
A surge of rage surged up inside her, she ran straight to Adrian and grabbed him by the wrist.
Adrian, startled by her sudden movement, met Diana’s face and suddenly struggled desperately to shake off her hand.
-Let go of me! Don’t touch me!
The boy’s eyes were filled with anger and disgust. It was an emotion Diana had always seen in Hector’s eyes, and Adrian had never looked at her with those eyes.
Diana’s fingers tightened as if they wanted to break Adrian’s slender wrist.
Adrian’s eyes were red with pain and he screamed:
-Bad woman, let go of me, let go of me at once.
Diana laughed.
-Am I not your favorite sister? You used to say you would protect me, but why do you hate me now, why do you take Albina’s side, and why did you expose me as an adopted child?
When she spoke, her voice sounded strange.
Adrian looked terrified and his wrists ached, even tears trembled on his long eyelashes.
Diana looked into his eyes, which were identical to those of Hector and Albina, and the sudden anger that welled up in her heart hardened even more and made her grip grow tighter.
Adrian wailed and wept.
-You are a bad person, how can you be so heartless? You said Albina would bully you, you deliberately lied to me to make me hate Albina. You also deliberately tore Albina’s dress and denigrated her in front of the others. It was obvious that you were bullying Albina, I hate you! And I was not wrong to say that you are really only the adopted daughter of our family. My parents have given you so much and you want to take Albina’s place, you’re the worst!
It was easy for a child to trust someone, but the disappointment of knowing that he had been lied to and used could be even more intense.
Previously, Adrian had treated Diana with all his heart, but he had lied and used her over and over again, and it was Diana who had often fed him the idea of kicking Albina out, causing him to almost accidentally hurt Albina and the baby.
Diana saw that it hurt him so much already, but he was still stubborn and cursed angrily:
-Do you know how hard I tried to convince our parents not to reveal my identity? You’ve ruined everything and now I can’t raise my head in front of the others, are you satisfied? When I’m at home, you all favor Albina and ignore me. Now you will even harass me outside the house, are you satisfied?!
As soon as the words left her mouth, Diana’s lower back hurt so much that her whole body nearly flew out and landed hard on the ground.
-Adrian, are you all right?
Hector looked nervous and anxious as he held Adrian’s wrist with careful movements.
There was a deep bruise on Adrian’s wrist that showed how much force Diana had just used.
-Brother, I’m in so much pain,” Adrian said in a soft voice, trying to control himself not to scream, but he couldn’t stop the tears from falling at the sight of Hector.
Hector took him in his arms and looked hard at Diana.
He escorted the guests into the living room with his parents, Albina and Umberto, paying no attention to Adrian, because they unconsciously thought that nothing would happen to Adrian in his own house.
But they did not expect that just for a moment, Diana would take advantage of their absence and harass Adrian.
It was Hector who returned early and heard Adrian’s screams, and as he walked in the door he was met with a scene that made people hate him.
-How can you do this to Adrian? Diana, are you really a big sister? -Hector said coldly.
He stared at Diana with a deadly stare, eager to devour her.
Only when Diana came to her senses did she realize what she had done. She could not control her emotions and had lashed out at Adrian.
The fact that Adrian made no secret of his dislike for her caused the total loss of her sanity. And after the violent outbursts, Diana’s temper built up over more than twenty years went into overdrive.
She vented her frustration with the Espina family, her hatred of Hector and Albina on Adrian, forgetting even the occasion.
But she didn’t expect Hector to come back and catch her red-handed.
Diana’s lower back ached, but she no longer cared, so she raised her hand and slapped her own face several times.
The action was swift and obnoxious, and after a few slaps, Diana’s face was so red and swollen that she could barely make out what she looked like originally.
Hector froze at this action, and Adrian even forgot to cry.
