Alfredo stopped when he reached the door and turned his head to look at Umberto.
-The rumors about you and Albina were spread by Jaime. I have already asked someone to stop the rumors from spreading. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Umberto was stunned for a moment, then revealed a slight smile.
-You don’t need to apologize, you are not Jaime. You don’t need to apologize for what he did.
Apologizing a million times wasn’t as useful as revealing Jaime’s identity and taking away his position as heir to the Seco Family. Now that the paternity certificate had been delivered to Alfredo, he had to decide what to do with Jaime.
Alfredo also understood what he meant, nodded his head and left, his back a little dejected.
-This was a big blow to Alfredo. The man he had raised for more than 20 years was not his grandson, no one could accept this truth.
Sergio sighed.
The most important thing was that Jaime was an imposter, who was his real grandson? Was he still alive? No one knew for sure.
If his grandson was still alive, where was he now? According to Jaime’s ruthless character, what would he do to his grandson to get the position of heir?
He dared not think about it.
Umberto looked away.
-Grandfather, I have discovered that the son of Aphredo and his wife did have a son back then. The child was exactly eight years old when they died, but that person was not Jaime.
Back then, Afredo’s son adopted Jaime at the same time as the birth of his son to hide from Alfredo’s subordinates and cover up the situation.
They always hid, and when the children reached school age, they dared not let them go to school for fear that the Seco Family would seek them out and threaten them with their children.
Alfredo was stubborn, and educated his son so harshly from an early age that he could not believe that his father had forgiven him and wanted to accept him and his wife at that time.
It was worth mentioning that Aphredo’s son was quite pathetic. He had a good relationship with his younger sister and had been in contact with her during this period to help test Alfred’s attitude.
At first, his sister conveyed the message honestly, but after Pedro learned that he had the opportunity to become the heir to the Seco Family, she began to be dishonest.
She often passed on false news to her brother that Alfredo was still angry and would become enraged at the mention of them, saying that Alfredo was sending people to look for them and that when they found them, they would control him and force them to separate.
He believed what his sister said and avoided Alfredo even more. Only when he had an accident and was bedridden did he look at Jaime and his own son, both under the age of ten, and could only write a letter, asking Jaime to bring his son to the family.
He had thought it through, after all, the Seco Family had a lot of assets, he had not been back for eight years, Alfredo was already old and he feared that many people would covet the property. For his son’s sake, he only wrote Jaime’s name on the letter and did not confess that he was adopted.
He wanted the two of them to go to the Seco Family together. In keeping with Alfredo’s cautious nature, he should take the two children for a paternity test. Once the result was known, Alfredo should be able to understand his considerations and raise the two safely before declaring the true inheritance.
Alfredo’s son thought that, although he felt a little sorry to have Jaime as a decoy, he had adopted him for so many years and had done everything he could for him. He thought he was doing him justice by sending him to the Seco Family so that he could receive a good education, enjoy a good quality of life and become another Seco Family lord.
But he never expected that the boy he had raised would want to replace his real son.
Alfredo was so saddened by their death that he was fooled by Jaime’s acting skills and did not even suspect.
It was hidden for more than 20 years, but Umberto accidentally revealed it.
These were the results of Umberto’s speculations combined with the information he was able to find out. Some details might not be accurate, but the results were basically true.
The truth could only be revealed by Jaime, or by finding the real lord of the Seco Family.
After hearing Umberto’s theory, Sergio fell into silence and could not come to his senses for a long time.
It took him a long time to speak.
-Jaime should be punished by the heavens! And Alfredo’s daughter, she’s really horrible!
Sergio was so angry that his cheeks turned red. Although Alfredo was serious and stubborn, he really loved his son. Not to mention eight years old, it probably would have subsided in less than two years.
It was clear that they had a chance to meet and that Alfredo’s son could have remained in the Seco Family without dying, so he would not have suffered an accident.
Alfredo could have been like him, with a family full of children and grandchildren, happy and cheerful, but now he had been left alone.
The grandson who could give him the greatest comfort was a fake, his daughter was also causing trouble and he sat alone on high, with no relatives and very lonely.
No wonder his personality had become increasingly eccentric.
Sergio was so angry that his beard curled and he looked at Umberto.
-Send more people, make sure you find Alfredo’s real grandson.
They did the paternity test in private and discovered Jaime’s identity, so they had to help find his real grandson.
As for Jaime and Alfredo’s daughter, they didn’t want to pay attention to them.
Umberto looked at Sergio’s exasperated look as if he were a child. Then he nodded and smiled.
-Well, grandfather, I’ll send more people and have them do everything they can to find him. Jaime was only eight years old at the time, so he shouldn’t have killed anyone, and the boy is probably still alive.
Sergio sighed, and said in a sarcastic voice:
-Even if he is still alive, he must have suffered a lot, and he must not be as comfortable as he was at home. Instead, it was Jaime who lived comfortably for more than twenty years and almost inherited the fortune of the Seco Family.
Umberto also kept silent, Jaime really was very bad.
-Forget it, let’s not talk about it, it makes me angry to talk about it. I’m going to the room to rest -Sergio was a little tired and was about to leave with his crutches.
Umberto suddenly remembered something, looked at Sergio and asked him:
-Grandfather, should I give those messages I found about your son to Alfredo?
Sergio was stunned for a while and shook his head.
-No, the paternity test is hard enough for him. If we tell him this information, I’m afraid he won’t be able to take it. We’ll tell him the truth when we find the child.
-What if we can’t find that child? -Umberto asked.
Sergio thought for a while and said:
-Then we will hide it from him, he will feel better without knowing this.
With that, he left on crutches.
Umberto looked at Sergio’s back and made up his mind to do his best to find him.
The look of the two old men made a man as indifferent as him feel sad.

Alfredo remained silent all the way home, staring at the big black bag next to him, his eyes clouded by an inexplicable sadness.
The secretary had looked at him several times and was a little uneasy.
He was outside while they were talking and did not know what had been said. Later, when Alfredo fainted, he rushed inside, but before he knew what had happened, he was thrown out again.
When Alfredo got into the car, his look became stranger and stranger. He did not have a stern look as before, but was sad.
The secretary had been with Alfredo for many years, and apart from twenty years ago, when Jaime brought the news of the death of Afredo’s son, he had never seen him so sad.
It didn’t take long to reach the house, and when the secretary helped Alfredo out of the car and tried to take the bag in his hand, Alfredo withdrew his hand and looked at it cautiously.
The secretary was stunned for a moment, feeling a little strange, but he withdrew his hand sincerely.
The two had just reached the door of the salon when they saw Jaime come rushing out from inside, his eyes lit up at the sight of Alfredo and he ran to him excitedly.
-Grandfather, he’s back,” he said as he wanted to take Alfredo’s arm.
The secretary gave him the seat, but what was unexpected for both of them was that Alfredo avoided Jaime’s hand and looked at the secretary.
-You hold me.
