Rhea entered the bedroom sia was in and sighed, she was just sitting there without blinking. It was like her friend was lost in some unknown world. Rhea walked to her and sat on the bed
“You look like hell bestie”Rhea said with a chuckle as she tried to make sia react to her sarcasm, but her friend was just staring at her, it broke Rhea’s heart to see sia in such a state it was horrifying
“It wasn’t your fault… he was bad and all you did was protect yourself from him”Rhea said softly and reached for sia’s hand and held it in hers.
“I’m fine Rhea”sia muttered and with a surprise look Rhea lifted her head only to find sia wiping her tears
“Sia… are you alright… tell me… are you okay”she asked desperately and sia nodded a little. Yes, she was shocked but mostly scared. She feared Emiliano and his family would point fingers at her. In the past, she had fault with Emiliano over Angel which made it look like she didn’t want him and after what happened she was scared Emiliano would say she shot him on purpose
“I didn’t do it on purpose… we were struggling… I tried to get the gun from him… and it went off”she mumbled as she buried her face in her palms and rhea nodded and hugged her
“It wasn’t your fault sia… accidents do happen… please don’t punish yourself like this”sia only did what she thought was right. What if it were her who got shot then would angel have felt remorse of course not, angel came to harm sia, and hence she did what she thought was right
“Call him here… I want to see him”sia requested for Emiliano and Rhea nodded and rushed out of the room. She was glad sia was just scared, not what she thought

“It’s cool… I’m sure we’ll sort this out… did they check the security footage?” Logan asked Emiliano since both were still in the living room and Emiliano nodded helplessly. He had completely lost it when he saw sia in such a state, and hence he didn’t even bother to ask the doctor to check the security footage but luckily Trey and Angelo took a trip there, and hence he was expecting them later on
“Yes… its chaos”Emiliano whispered just as Rhea joined them only for Emiliano to turn to her
“She’s okay… go to her, and please make her understand that you aren’t… upset with her”rhea went on and as
“Who said I’m angry at her…”Emiliano mumbled and made his way to the stairs leaving Rhea and Logan cuddling as they sat down
The bedroom door opened and Emiliano walked in and found sia standing and this time he saw life on her face unlike how she had been in the morning
“Hey”Emiliano said softly and reached for his wife who moved to him and wrapped her arms around him
“I’m sorry I got you worried Emil”she murmured with closed eyes
“Of course I was worried… don’t do that again… and if you continue punishing yourself for what happened… then I’ll have no choice than to punish you in the most cruel way possible”He warned in an angry tone that has sia chuckling as she moved away from his embrace, maybe she overreacted, but she close to seeing death when she and angel were busy fighting to get the gun in their grasp
“But how did he escape?”she asked only for the bedroom door to open and Logan hesitantly walked in
“Well I see everything is fine… Umm, the guys are here”he informed the two and Emiliano nodded and both followed Logan out

“Sir… this is what we got… unfortunately the time of the incident… most of our cameras in the hallway were turned off unknowingly”a man dressed in black said as he clicked a few keys in his laptop while Emiliano and Logan scooped close to take a look. Rhea and sia were standing together to the sides as they watched the three men who had come to show what they discovered
“Well our culprit didn’t escape on his own… see this sir…”another man added and zoomed in showing a medium height woman dressed as a nurse with her face covered walking in the oasis way which led to the room Angel was locked up in
“Pause please”it was sia who instructed, and the man did as told only for her to walk to them and Emiliano gestured for one of them to move aside, so his wife could see. Sia narrowed her eyes as she zoomed in on the so-called nurse. She didn’t look like an ordinary nurse judging from her graceful moves and the way she carried herself not just that but the way she was looking around as if searching for people around made it suspicious
“She looks familiar”sia mumbled and Emiliano lowered down and carefully scanned the woman
“This is the other nurse the doctors didn’t recognize as part of the hospital… the nurse who was the only one on duty of making sure angel was attended to denied ever seeing her”the first man remarked and Logan narrowed his eyes as he and Emiliano looked at each other as if thinking the same thing
“Then she’s the one who set Logan free”sia said and everything nodded in agreement
“Vincent called and Angel is now stable but… the doctors found some strong substances in his system… it seemed he was under drug influence when he came to the mansion”he had a word with Vincent, and he was told Angel was out of danger. Surprisingly, the bullet didn’t go deep or hit any of his vital organs, and hence he just lost blood but with blood donation, he had regained consciousness, although he was still not talking or moving
“Do you think… the same person used him?”rhea asked and Logan nodded. In this case, if his suspicion of the person involved was right then he was certain an angel was manipulated to cause a scene. Come to think of it he had been under treatment and Emiliano was told by Angel’s doctor that he was getting better until that night he escaped
“Emiliano… we need the police now”sia lamented in a serious tone and looked at her husband who nodded. This was the perfect chance to have the culprit arrested no matter what. Sia clenched her fist tightly, it seemed her rival had other plans to bring her down and that included killing her, that was why she sent Angel to do the dirty work, so he could go to jail not her.
“Get ready for me”Sia mumbled in an angry tone as her facial expression darkened, emiliano who was standing near her could sense the dark scary aura radiating from his wife , but he didn’t utter a word and let her do as she wanted since it was her fight.
