Sia was beyond shocked as she tried to think clearly, but the doctor’s voice kept ringing in her ears as the news of Rhea’s pregnancy went through the room and Logan’s mom was receiving congratulatory wishes as noise rose among the families.
“Come with me”it was Emiliano who said coldly to Logan as he walked away heading to the exit door while Sia glanced at her mom, Carmen and Annie who were happy and clicking glasses for a toast, Vincent and Seth were busy congratulating Logan’s dad for the good news making sia feel like fainting
“Doctor is it okay if I see her?” Sia asked, and the doctor nodded
“Of course yes…you can see her, she’s already stable just some minor issues since she’s in her first trimester”the doctor remarked and sia greatly understand exactly what Rhea must be going through. She, too, was once pregnant and knew how one’s mood changes so drastically
“Thanks doc”sia said with a smile and rushed upstairs to get some answers to her questions, Logan and Rhea didn’t share such a relationship so how come she was expecting or was there something she didn’t know of
While Sia made her way to Rhea, Emiliano had dragged Logan outside to the garden so that it was just the two of them and the man was staring daggers at Logan to speak and tell him how Rhea got pregnant so suddenly
“Well… talk”Emiliano made a low yell seeing how quiet Logan was, the man looked as if he had seen a ghost because he wasn’t saying anything but kept his gaze lowered to the grass as if it was the reason for his situation
“It’s mine”Logan simply said softly with some shame to it and Emiliano widened his eyes at such a revelation, how on earth did he miss such important information. It was like he had just come back and found such news of Logan and Rhea. Clearly the two never shared such a relationship, so what exactly was going on he couldn’t think of any possible guess but when Logan admitted it, Emiliano knew problems have just resurfaced, as if the issues with Carlos weren’t enough
“Are you kidding me? Talk!” Emiliano made a low yell through gritted teeth, if Logan and Rhea had something together which he guessed ended in tragedy then trouble would arise
“I… didn’t know how it happened… she was there… I couldn’t handle it when I found her crying ” Logan started explaining, he didn’t know where the urge came from, but he knew what he did and what exactly his actions would lead to. It was a different night everything was fine, but for Rhea nothing was okay. He knew how strong she was but when he heard her crying he felt a knot tighten in his chest such that all he wanted was to do something to take her pain away
“Even so… you shouldn’t have done something when you knew it will bring wrong results”Emiliano spoke, he wasn’t trying to blame Logan, but he was aware of Logan claimed love for sia and countless times’ logan had declared his love publicly however if he did what he did because he felt pity, then he should as well as not done anything
“You don’t understand Emil… I couldn’t handle it… her pain was something I don’t like seeing… everything happened so fast that I…had no time to stop myself okay… if you think I did it with a motive then yes… I wanted to get rid of her pain… I’d rather have her pain than watch her cry like that”he made his statement clear and Emiliano was left speechless, it was like Logan had made a confession without knowing about it. By now he was familiar with feelings and judging by his experience he knew just how one easily fell in love without them realizing a thing. He too at some point hated seeing Sia hurt in any way and did everything to take the pain go away and now Logan was feeling the same way for Rhea
“Who exactly was on your mind the entire time… you can’t just do something so serious… it’s not a joke damn it”he was upset and confused at the same time. How on earth did Logan decide to do such a serious thing without thinking about the consequences. Even Rhea, what was she thinking to allow such a thing when she knew exactly what the results would be
“Her… It’s always her… these past few days I’m always restless unless I see her… it’s simple as that… my mind is messed up okay”he said and ran his hand in his hair hating how he was feeling for the first time he didn’t understand his feelings. When he claimed to love sia he knew exactly how he felt but suddenly something else had happened to him, he couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong all he knew was whenever Rhea was around he seemed to be happy and carefree
“Did… you know about her condition?”it was as simple as that Emiliano was playing detective because he knew later on sia who was as shocked as him would want answers considering the fact that the victim was Rhea her very best friend
“I suspected it… but I wasn’t convinced that’s… why I had to speed up this marriage at all cost”if anyone asked if he married Rhea to get his fortune back then he would say no because he noticed her strange behavior and knew his actions had resulted into something else. Since that night together both pretended as if nothing had happened between them however the tension was still there
“Go back in there and explain to her before she thinks you used her to get your fortune back… come back to me if you need help”with that Emiliano walked away from the garden and headed back inside only for Logan to realize something. He didn’t think about the possibility of Rhea misinterpreting what happened, yes he said some uncomfortable things the next day
“Damn it”he muttered and rushed to the entrance door.

“It’s not true, Rhea… I’m sure it’s not it”Sia said for the last time with the hope of changing Rhea’s thinking about her condition but whatever she said didn’t seem to make Rhea understand, and hence Rhea making a mountain out of a who knew what
“I… I heard him talking to his father earlier… everything was preplanned”Rhea said as more tears flowed on her face feeling her chest tightening from the pain she was going through, the deception was too much, especially from the person she called a friend
“Rhea… I’m sure that Logan must have a reason for… all this,, but please don’t misinterpret things the wrong way”it was useless trying to change Rhea’s mind over the fact that she thought Logan had used her taken advantage of her all because he wanted his wealth back which would only be given to him once he married and had a child and now something of the unknown had happened between Logan and Rhea which resulted in a baby forming and now Rhea was making assumptions that Logan used her to get his fortune back
“No… it was loud and clear… I heard his dad telling him to have a child or else he wasn’t getting his fortune back… sobs… sobs… hiccups… he took advantage of my situation”Rhea said with sobs as she buried her head in her hands as she cried even more, she should have known he meant every harsh words he had said to her the following morning after they got carried away the previous night and did something both would regret. He clearly told her it was a mistake, and would never happen again,
“Rhea, please…” Sia said, feeling the pain her friend was going through, and hugged her. Rhea couldn’t control herself as she hugged Sia back and cried even more, letting all her pains out. After some time there was a knock at the door and it pushed open only for Logan to walk in hesitantly
“I’m.. sorry… I…”logan tried to say and he prepared to walk out but sia moved away from rhea as she wiped her tears and walked to logan while Rhea lowered her gaze away from the man who hurt her
“Fix this… she’s hurting ” Sia whispered to Logan and Logan nodded as his chest tightened because just as Emiliano had said, it seemed Rhea misinterpreted the whole thing wrongly. Logan waited as sia said her good eyes and left the room and closed the door only then did he walk to Rhea’s bed but the woman didn’t even bother to look at him which hurt more than anything
“Rhea…”he whispered as he tried to touch her but rhea slapped his hand away as she lifted her head to look at him with a death glare and seeing the anger in her eyes logan’s knees went weak
“Don’t!… don’t you dare touch me! you used me”she said in a cracked voice that Logan knew she had been crying a lot.
