Rhea was exhausted as Logan’s mom dragged her around introducing her to guests, she wasn’t used to getting this much attention and now there were numerous people asking her how she and Logan’s love story started. Of course, she knew there was no love story, but Logan handled their questions firmly, and hence she couldn’t thank him any less.
“I guess it wasn’t needed to tell me about it”Cristal said sadly and rhea lowered her eyes to her hands, she truly felt ashamed for deciding without telling cristal first, she was like a mother to her however everything happened so suddenly, and hence she couldn’t inform anyone
“I’m so sorry aunt I’ll take any punishment you’ll give me”she said as she extended her hand and rested it on Cristal’s shoulder and Cristal smiled and turned to Rhea
“It’s okay as long as you chose the right man… Logan is a gem, and I’m happy he chose you,”Cristal said with a smile and caressed Rhea’s cheeks. Rhea felt emotional as she sniffed a little and hugged Cristal
“T… thanks aunt”she said just as Sia walked to them and smirked
“Oh well, I guess I’m not needed here”it was a good scene to sia how Rhea was getting all the love she couldn’t be any happier than she was seeing just how much love Rhea was receiving, and hence she decided to join the fun
Rhea and Sia walked away from Cristal and decided to have some alone time already Logan and Emiliano were talking at a corner. Sia could see how Emiliano kept on glancing at her direction occasionally. The entire party room was filled with different people all important businessmen from around the city and sia knew how his parents and of course Carmen and Vince worked even Logan’s parents too were influential, and hence it was likely they would invite such people to their party
“Tell me… have you thought about what your old man requested for?” Emiliano asked Logan as they chatted over whiskey and Logan stared at his glance for a while then sighed, he was in a tough situation in this case he preferred to stay broke and start over than do something for his benefits. It was enough when he married Rhea hoping he would have everything back however he wasn’t expecting his dad to ask him such a thing because he and Rhea didn’t share such a relationship and doing so would be selfish of him
“It’s not going to happen I tell you… the old man can wait for all I care”he replied seriously and Emiliano nodded as he stared at the miserable man in front of him, he felt for him considering the fact that Logan’s father had lost trust in his son, especially when he nearly ruined the family business all because of the love he claimed to have for a woman hence he greatly understood. If Logan was to be trusted again, then it was only if he got married had a family of his own, only then would his father be assured that he would never go back to his old self again and jeopardize the company like he had done
“But… have you tried asking her?” Emiliano asked more and Logan shook his head and glanced towards where Rhea was standing with sia and he to a sip of his whiskey to cool off
“Some things are better left untouched, it’s no use”he remarked and Emiliano didn’t ask any more as the two engaged in their conversation, Emiliano wasn’t a fan of parties so was Logan but watching their parents it was likely some business transaction was going on. But Emiliano knew his parents, especially Vince, never missed a chance to flaunt their wealth and achievements and of course he has a daughter-in-law hence it was something to be proud of. The Alvaro’s and the Navarro’s were now a family and if two powerful families join together, then who would dare compete with them
“Hello”It was Sia who said as she walked to the two men and the men stopped their talk and glanced towards her, of course Logan still knew of the incident that occurred between Sia and him and since that time the two never spoke. He greatly understands, knowing full well he crossed the line when he questioned her character
“Mrs Alvaro, I must say you look ravishing”Logan said with a smile and Sia smiled faintly and hugged him. Emiliano didn’t think much as he watched the two reconcile,
“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to imply all that”sia said as she moved back from him and Logan winked and caressed her cheeks
“I’m sorry too… I was just concerned”
“And I appreciate the concern”sia chuckled only for Emiliano to pull her in his arms and hugged her from behind, Logan rolled his eyes knowing full well the bad wolf was jealous
“That’s enough talk… now scram”Emiliano shot at Logan only for sia to elbow him to behave, Logan just laughed and walked away from the couple obviously wanting their private moment
“That wasn’t necessary”she said, and the man lowered to her shoulder and kissed her lightly
“It was… I can’t stand anyone spending more than five minutes with you… it’s not done”he murmured in a smoky voice and slipped his hand shamelessly in her dress and sia gasps because they were in public and the shameless man wasn’t thinking about their reputation
“It wasn’t even that much… don’t be jealous”she said with gasps as she managed to remove his hand from her dress and turned to him and wrapped her arms around his neck
“Let’s drop it… I don’t feel like staying here longer… what do you think?”he asked and planned a kiss on her lips, and Sia chuckled because now the man had pulled her to a hiding spot away from the guests she was afraid of. He couldn’t keep his eyes off sia because she had stolen his heart once more and everyday he seems to find her even more beautiful making it impossible for him to stay sane
“And that’s more reason for us to stay here… come on”she said seriously and dragged him back to the party room only for him to complain but went with it anyway. He just had to wait until the damn party was over, only then would he get what he wanted. Sia and Emiliano joined other couples who were Emiliano’s acquaintances, and they started chatting.
Meanwhile, Rhea walked back to the party hall after a trip to the bathroom, she clearly hadn’t taken anything, but she was feeling nauseous not just that her head was spinning as if she was intoxicated which was not true because she hated alcohol, and hence she only had some soft drinks
“Damn”she muttered as she used some chairs close to her as support and held her spinning head, she was feeling tired, although she hadn’t done anything to make her that tried
“Dear are you okay”Logan’s mom who happened to ve passing by rushed to Rhea seeing how weak she looked and upon hearing her mother-in-law, Rhea straightened up and smiled faintly
“Yes I’m fine, mom…” Rhea said with a smile and Annie frowned and scanned her carefully
“I’ll be right back… stay here”Annie said and prepared to walk away but just then, Rhea lost balance and blacked out only for Annie to immediately catch her from hitting the ground
“Rhea, what’s wrong Rhea… please help”Annie said desperately as she tried to wake her up, but she had passed out, the music was loud that no one could hear her but logan was fast enough to reach where they were
“Mom.. what happened to her?”he asked with desperation and gathered Rhea in his arms, emiliano and sia so did the rest of the guest got concerned as they gathered around wondering what had happened so suddenly
“Rhea”sia lowered down but Logan already picked her up in his arms while shouting for everyone to move back. Annie was desperate as she immediately called the doctor
“I’m so sorry everyone but the party is over”it was Logan’s father who said to the guests and ordered security guards to usher everyone out leaving on my close friends who were worried about rhea
“Logan what… what happened to her?”sia asked as she felt Rhea’s neck to see if she was okay but logan was confused as he held her hand because now he had taken rhea to his old room while they waited for the doctor
“I dont know”he muttered and kept his eyes on Rhea, she looked pale and to make matter worse when the doctor arrived she requested for everyone to leave the room hence sia and logan had no choice than to leave
“How is she?”annie, carmen and Cristal rushed to sia as soon as they walked downstairs
“The doctor will tell us”Is said softly and Cristal hugged her daughter. This was such a tragedy, everything was fine including rhea so what exactly happened to her so suddenly. Emiliano was standing with Logan as they all waited for the doctor to come out. Minutes felt like hours, everyone were worried about Rhea and hoped everything was fine
After a few minutes the doctor emerged from the stairs and it was Sia and the mothers who rushed to her
“Doctor, how is she?”Carmen asked and the female doctor elegantly walked to them holding a stethoscope in her hand and stood before them
“Well…everything is fine… she’s alright”the doctor said with a smile and everyone were relieved to hear such good news including logan who was worried
“Who is her husband?”the doctor asked and Logan moved forward with emiliano standing behind him
“Its me doctor… is everything alright”
“Well congratulations, your wife is pregnant… two weeks pregnant”the doctor delivered the news with a smile which shocked everyone, Sia shifted her gaze towards Logan who looked pale and so did Emiliano who creased his brows wondering what was going on.
