“I don’t remember”he said honestly, he had no idea how he ended up intoxicated when clearly he didn’t take any alcohol. He, too, was shocked when he woke up at the family farm house naked in bed with a bad headache, and he knew he had done something but with whom. He didn’t remember taking interest in any woman at the party, nor did he have any intentions of taking a woman to his bed. Like he told Perez, he was to have an important meeting the next day, and therefore he needed to be sober so how on earth did he get so high to the point where he couldn’t remember a thing even until now.
“Think deep please… did you take anything unusual or someone must have given you something to drink”sia said desperately as she moved her hands to his face and held his sides, Emiliano wanted to do just that however for a year, he had tried to think deep or even ask how he got to the farm house, but he couldn’t remember that part of the night no matter how hard he tried.
“I did get, some cocktail from Perez, yes I recall him begging me to try some of his best cocktails”that’s the only unusual thing he could think about and when Sia heard that she didn’t ask him further.
“It’s okay”she murmured and pulled him forward, so she could plant a soft kiss on his forehead. The act was so sudden, so loving and far too intimate that Emiliano closed his eyes as he felt her soft lips on his skin. Sia had her eyes closed too. Yes, now she knew her anger towards him was invalid, clearly he had no idea what the surrounding people were planning. Since that night, she despised Emiliano and when she heard he was a Casanova, she disliked him even more, that was why she set out to make him pay but with further investigation, she had now found the missing piece and when she heard Angel she knew the man wasn’t what he appeared to be. If Angel was the master mind behind everything,, then why did he plan to do such a thing to his blood cousin? Clearly Emiliano cared about his cousin without knowing his true colors.
“Tell me… your cousin Angel… you told me he got arrested because of the drugs they found in his bag… was it his?”she moved away from him and asked with a curious expression and Emiliano showed a faint smile and reached for her hair and creased it.
“Apparently yes… He’s a messed up kid… I can’t blame him but… he hadn’t gotten over his parent’s death”he whispered in a hoarse tone and continued touching her hair and sia nodded feeling a little of pity for Angel but a person who deal with drugs seemed dangerous.
“Emiliano isn’t it dangerous having him around… does he take those drugs… if he does then it’s best to take him to rehab”the only thing she was worried about was Emiliano’s safety, after what happened to him that night she had vowed to be careful and not let anything happen to him no matter what and if Angel was the main culprit then having him in the same house as Emiliano was risking everything.
“We want to avoid saying anything about that… the last time dad did… Angel thought he was being tough on him because his father was no longer alive”that was the only problem Emiliano had with Angel. Angel was so stubborn to reason with people, he took life lightly and abused drugs. At some point, he was admitted in the hospital for nearly a month because of drug overdose, when Vince questioned him about it Angel got angry and told him things that was why his granny cut all ties with Angel saying until he stopped misbehaving only then was he allowed to set foot in the Alvaro mansion but so far, it has been two years and Angel hasn’t changed a bit, and he was actually getting worse.
“I get it… sorry for meddling”she mumbled but Emiliano smiled and yanked her towards him and captured her mouth for a kiss and Sia teased biting his lower lip with giggles and the man gripped the back of her head and locked lips with her and sucked her lips earning a soft moan from sia as she moved more on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck reaching for his thick hair as she enjoyed the passionate kiss which ignored a fire in her. His soft lips and actually feeling his tongue exploring her mouth made her lose control. Emiliano couldn’t get enough as he explored her to his heart’s content, her upper body was exposed and only her bra separated him from feeling all of her against him. Both couldn’t get enough of touching each other and so knew the man was losing control, and she loved it each time they got lost in each other’s love.
“Mmm Emil”she moaned his name softly as he left her mouth and trailed kisses all over her exposed skin and sia touched and caressed his body, from his solid chest to his arms, his back and his abs. The chair Emiliano was sitting on couldn’t take them as sia shifted around trying to have him whole but just in the middle of their passionate moments the door flew open and a lady wearing a red suit walked in but stopped and turned away when he saw her boss and a woman in a compromising situation.
“I’m… I’m so sorry, sir… but the meeting is about to begin”the lady said nervously and by now sia was leaning on Emiliano’s shoulder trying to keep her breathing stable. Emiliano wanted to murder someone and the lady in red knew any better than to stay a minute longer, with fear in her heart she immediately rushed out of the office crying to herself and mistakenly bumped into Angelo who was walking while typing this phone.
“Sorry, sorry… sir… please save me… sobs… I don’t want to be fired”she cried even more but Angelo narrowed his eyes at her wondering what was happening to her to be crying like a baby.
“Hey, hey… tell me who’s going to fire you, huh?”
“Please, he will fire me… I’m so scared”saying that the lady cried even more and ran away to her cabin and by now Angelo had a thinking frowning face as he glanced one more time to the direction where the lady had gone to turn to where she came from and there was only one explanation. With large strides Angelo walked to Emiliano’s office and like a fool he pushed the door without knocking and entered only to stop and curse several times as he covered his eyes with his hand awkwardly.
“Fire him”Sia murmured in frustration because Emiliano’s employees didn’t want her to feel some love.
“You are fired now out!” Emiliano shouted after Angelo and he removed his hand from his eyes and walked to them. Emiliano managed to get Sia’s shirt on and properly fixed it, and she got off his lap.
“Come on bro… this is a place of work… not your bedroom”Angelo chuckled as he threw a seductive playful wink at sia who was feeling ashamed, Emiliano nearly punched Angelo but composed himself.
“Get out!” Emiliano made a low yell,, but Angelo didn’t seem affected as he walked to the bar to get himself a beer, and he chuckled.
“We have a late night meeting remember… your two guests are already waiting for you but… it seems your wife had another meeting in mind”Angelo’s mischievous smirk was starting to get on Sia’s nerves as she desperately wanted to wipe it off his face but chose to stay quiet, she wasn’t aware aware that her husband had a meeting to attend to.
“Sweetheart, I’ll have Trey drive you home”Emiliano walked to Sia and pulled the woman in his arms and sia frowned.
“I’ll wait for you”she whispered but emiliano shook his head and moved away from her.
“I’ll take long and I don’t want you to wait for me that long”he said with a smile and sia pouted and looked at him with puppy eyes hoping he would feel sorry but the man chuckled and kissed her on the cheek.
“You seem tired… its best you go home and rest and about Diego… do you want me to get him from mom”they nearly forgot about their son and he was surprised so hasn’t said anything about getting Diego back.
“No no… let him stay there for a little while”she quickly refused.
“Okay then… I’ll get going.. take care”he said his goodbye and walked out of the office, angelo who was watching their public display of affection just said in satisfaction winked at sia and followed emiliano out, sia watched as the men left the office and she exhaled in relief. At this point she didn’t want to go home without Emiliano. Better still, she didn’t want Diego to be anywhere near Angel. If angel was a threat then even Diego’s life was in danger hence her son staying with his grandparents was a good idea.
Sia looked around the office one more time, took her purse and walked out. It seemed she had to go home although she had a bad feeling about it she still needed to find out what Angel was all about only then will peave reign in her family.
