Emiliano understood Sia was upset with him, and he knew she needed time to calm down, but divorcing him just like that was something he didn’t expect.
“Guys I know this… I know you have some misunderstanding going on… but sia I don’t think this is the best thing to rush into”anyone said nervous as he tried to get some sense into sia. He was surprised when he received a call from sia so early in the morning, ordering him to prepare divorce papers. He refused and asked her why but sia threatened him, and hence he had prepared the divorce papers in a matter of minutes.
“Get out!” Emiliano made a low yell that startled Angelo,
“Emil… just…”
“Get the fuck out!” Emiliano cut him off as he raised his voice and Angelo knew his friend was furious, and hence he was going to retreat slowly and get out because he wanted to avoid being a part of the scandal happening between husband and wife. Come to think of it why on earth did he have to go through this, it appeared to be that he was a cursed lawyer who happened to make his loved one divorce.
“I should have been a dancer, oh god help me”Angelo muttered dramatically as he walked to his sports car, got in and drove away from the mansion as he thought over who told Sia about everything.
Back inside Emiliano threw away the divorce papers and walked to Sia.
“I know you are angry… I know I kept the truth from you, but this isn’t necessary,”he said softly as he looked at his wife who didn’t even want to look his way. Sia rose from the couch and crossed her arms on her chest.
“This is what I want… sign the papers Emiliano… then go to your lover”She said with disdain in her voice and again Emiliano was helpless as he scanned her face, he felt hurt because despite everything that they have gone through to get where they were, Sia still didn’t understand anything even when she was fully aware how important she was to him.
“I didn’t bother to tell you anything because my past meant nothing to me… I’ve erased every memory from my past… you are my present and future”he murmured as he walked close to her, Sia averted her eyes from him as more rage built inside her.
“You made a fool of me… both of you decided to laugh at me behind my back, and now you are saying this… I don’t want to be with you”it was clear as day, they had the perfect opportunity to tell the truth at least they should have told her maybe it wouldn’t have hurt like it was hurting her to be betrayed by the people she trusted especially her sister whom she valued.
“It might sound simple to you but to me having to find out that my husband once loved my sister… do you know how the fuck it feels huh”they didn’t understand how important and how she valued relationships, she never liked lies, especially those who kept her in the dark. If Emiliano was in her shoes, then he would have felt just how she was feeling to know that once her very own husband had held her sister in his arms, kissed her and told her he loved her, and he married the younger sister and said the very words to her.
“I’m sorry for everything… I hate myself for lying, but please don’t do this”this time his voice was full of sorrow as he held her by the shoulders, however Sia shrugged him off and glared at him.
“You ruined everything… from now on, the love I felt for you is dead”she remarked in a stern voice and Emiliano shook his head not believing a word she was saying, she was his life and knew without her, he wasn’t going to survive. He was already into her and loved her, why wasn’t she understanding that fact.
“You can’t leave me… you are mine and only me… these papers won’t be able to break us apart”he got desperate but Sia prepared to walk away, however suddenly Emiliano’s phone vibrated. He didn’t even want to look at it but when he took it out of his pocket to throw it away he saw that it was his mom calling, and hence he answered it.
“Mom”he said in a normal voice and sia who was almost by the stairs stopped.
“What!? okay I’m on my way, please take care of her”he said in a worried tone and cut the call as he ran his hands in his hair in frustration and sia rushed to him forgetting her anger.
“What happened! Is mom okay?”
“Granny had a heart attack”he said and sia stumbled back, yes he was angry with Emiliano but not his family.
“We should go now… and while we are there, let’s try to act normal… I don’t want granny or mom to find out about the divorce”she simply said and immediately rushed upstairs, leaving Emiliano feeling helpless with a blank expression on his face. His granny was attached to sia and if she found out about their divorce then her condition would get worse, and therefore he needed to find a way to fix everything no matter what, he wasn’t going to let Sia leave him.

The ride to the Alvaro mansion was awkward between sia and Emiliano,, but she was glad they arrived fast and immediately rushed to the old lady’s room and found two doctors and a nurse attending to her. Mario was also there as well as Carmen and Vince. Sia comforted Carmen who was crying as they waited for the doctor to finish and once the doctor told them, she was stable they rushed in and found her half sleeping supported by pillows.
“Granny, how are you feeling?”sia asked as she held her hand and the old lady smiled and looked at Emiliano who was sitting to the other side while Carmen was standing to the sides together with Mario. Vince was talking to the doctors outside.
“I’m okay, dear… just a little pain”she joked with a chuckle and sia wiped her tears and smiled faintly at her.
“You know I told you not to work too much… you never listen”she said and Emiliano slowly looked at her but sia kept her eyes straight at the old lady, she was fond of the bossy granny, but recently, she wasn’t taking care of herself.
“The last one… I won’t over work… but first you and Emiliano need to do something for me”she remarked with heavy breaths as she struggled to speak and sia together with Emiliano who both were holding her hands rubbed her lightly, and she smiled.
“Tell us granny, I’ll do anything you ask”this time Emiliano said with a warm smile and the granny smiled with eyes closed as she prepared to speak.
“You are married now… and you have been so hooked up in your work… I don’t think you spare any time for each other”she started and sia lowered her eyes and loosened her grip in the old lady’s hand as guilt washed over her and Emiliano felt the same.
“What granny is trying to say is that, it’s time you two went on a honeymoon to spend some quality time together”it was Carmen who came forward and said with a smile and sia raised her head in surprise so did Emiliano and were both perplexed.
