Emiliano sat quietly as he listened to the men speak and voice out their opinion regarding their recent factory problem, and it seemed all the blame was on him because as the current CEO to be, he took had no idea how the first was starting but hearing what they had to say he now understood he needed to get the police involved in the matter.
“I’m afraid we can’t blame anyone else other than you Emiliano, your father ran this company smoothly but…”a middle-aged man with brown hair name Mr. Clark said shrewdly, he was the company’s Chief operating office as he spoke Emiliano kept his cold eyes on his colleagues, and they were nodding to every statement he brought up as if he was the leader of the pack.
“Ever since you took in charge I’m afraid we have been facing one problem one after the other,”another added. He was the Chief financial officer Mr. Allen, by now Emiliano. He worked with them and had a better idea of how they worked. Not only that, but he listened to their complaint, and it looked like they all came specifically to show him that he wasn’t fit to be their CEO, and hence he should step down. His father left the company to him to handle, but it looked like it wasn’t going to be easy.
“The factory is our company’s stronghold, if we keep losing machines worth millions, then I’m sad to say we are going to go bankrupt… not just that, but we have several investors who are waiting to get some profit from our new project… so what should we do now”this time Mr. Harris added the Chief marketing officer the one who is in charge of all the marketing projects he wasn’t old, but Emiliano knew he was a good friend of his father, he had been in the company for a very long time together with Mr. Clark, and hence he could consider the two as his uncles and respected them a great deal there he was open to their suggestions and complaints. Emiliano held Diego in his arms carefully because by now the boy was sleeping which was surprising considering that fact that the place was a bit noisy, or maybe he was bored listening to old men bickering nonsense and by now Emiliano had a bigger clear picture of his employees and how they viewed his work.
“Mr. Bouchard, do you have anything else to say?” Emiliano turned to the only man among the five who wasn’t saying anything, he was the chief technology officer the man who carried out technological work in the company.
“Well I don’t think this has anything to do with you sir, we can’t blame you because in every company… issues like this case happen”the man said hesitantly as if he wasn’t sure of what he was saying, hearing him defend Emiliano the other four men darkened their expression and again Mr. Clark spoke
“We are worried about the company’s reputation and well being, if the factory is destroyed, then how are we to carry out work when we all know… how much most of our investor trusts us… in my opinion it’s your job as the CEO to run this company thoroughly but as I see it… you are failing”Mr. Clark said shrewdly again, his bitter words directing to Emiliano calling him an incompetent boss to his face and just as another one was about to add more the conference room door bust open and everyone, including Emiliano, tilted their head to that direction and Emiliano arched a serious brow as his eyes fell on his wife now dressed in a black suit not like what she had worn earlier, the five men murmured among themselves finding the lady familiar and disliking the fact that she interrupted their important meeting. Sia looked at them professionally and walked in towards Emiliano after stood just beside his chair
“We thought this was a meeting for crucial executive, may I know why the lady is here again who is she?”Mr. Clark asked coldly as his eyes fell on Sia then to Emiliano who didn’t react to the lady’s rude entrance.
“Mr Clark I would appreciate the tone you use with me… believe me I’m not your CEO who listened to your nonsense without saying anything”sia turned to the man who just spoke and stared daggers at him add the remaining four looked to the lady who was just 20 years old they thought and the tone she used with them was disrespectful.
“Young lady, do you know who we are?”Mr. Harris asked her in a deep angry tone because she was disrespectful to the most important people in the company and Emiliano was just sitting there watching.
“I don’t care who you are but let me elaborate more on your statement Mr… Clark… you said Mr. Alvaro is responsible for what is happening to the factory right… but remind me this… if he’s responsible, then don’t you think the five of you are twice as responsible since he employed you to work for him, and we all know you are have been assigned to do your work under him”she said and Emiliano friends and leaned back but didn’t dare utter a word or interrupt her, the four men looked at each other except for Mr Bouchard then Mr. Harris looked at Sia.
“And who do you think you are to say such things to us?”this time he was angry as he slammed his hand on the table making everything Diego who was asleep to stir a little and seeing this Sia got angry.
“And who do you think you are to point fingers at my husband when your fools have jobs to do, but you are neglecting that… or perhaps are you doing this on purpose, huh?”when she spoke her voice stern so full of disease and once they heard wife, the men realized now who she was but didn’t care she was just a woman how was supposed to be at home cleaning the house.
“One of you is responsible for making sure the company employee competent workers Mr Clark you are responsible for this and the human resource department,”sia went on and pointed out what their jobs were and in which part they failed in fact she went as deep as evoking their past performances and by the time she finished her proclaims, they four men had gone pale as cold sweat broke on their foreheads. Emiliano smirked as he rose to his feet after handed Diego to Sia.
“So I guess for now the meeting is over, dismissed”he commanded, and the five men rose to their feet after walked to the door before glancing back at Sia and threw daggers to her but Sia only smirked ad cradled Diego in her arms and trey who had been standing all this while waiting for the climax smiled and left the conference room. Emiliano waited until everyone left then he turned to his wife and he had to admit she proved herself.
“So how was it?”she asked in a cheerful childish voice that had Emiliano chuckling as he half sat on the table and nodded in satisfaction.
“Nice work”he simply said and sia frowned.
“That’s it, I cracked my head to expose the old foxes who were responsible for this, and you just said nice?”she couldn’t believe her ears, last night after she couldn’t fall asleep she asked him what was going on, but he shoved her off saying she should not meddle in his affairs, and therefore she challenged him to find the root of the problem in 12hours, and now she just did that.
“Interesting, but you still didn’t tell me anything useful”he remarked.
“Those four are the ones causing everything”she said nonchalantly and smiled at Diego who just yawned a little and opened his eyes and Sia frowned, she was expecting her son to cry a little and make emiliano irritated but Diego proved to be loyal to his father and slept the entire time. ‘plans ruined’ Sia complained in her heart.
