“She’s completely fine and has been discharged,” The Doctor made the announcement.
“Oh, thank goodness,” Jason exclaimed. Finally, his mate was discharged and was now free to go home with him, that was such a relief.
“Finally, we will be going home today,” Jason told Ariella, smiling brightly.
“Home? Your house, you mean? Anyway, I won’t be going to your house. I’d rather sleep here than go home with you.”
“What did you just say?” Jason frowned. Ariella has been acting angry since evening time after Jacinta left. He finally gave Ariella the bad impression that he had been avoiding giving her. But he was also glad that his mate wasn’t going to spend up to a day in the hospital.
“You heard me right!” Ariella suddenly yelled and Jason was taken aback, no one had ever yelled at him before, so It was very surprising to him.
“You are coming home with me and that’s final!” Jason declared angrily.
*******
Ariella stared at mother and son as they conversed heatedly wondering what was going on, when suddenly the woman pointed at her and said her son left his wife to be on the altar because of a total stranger like her and that shocked her to the core.
Did he abandon a woman on the altar?
But why did he abandon her? He could have just dropped her (Ariella) at the hospital and go back to complete his wedding, but instead he stayed with her.
There was something more to this whole thing.
He didn’t strike her as a bad person earlier, but after hearing what he did, she automatically saw him as a terrible guy.
Not quite long, his wife to be stepped in, still in her wedding dress with her eyes looking puffy like someone who had been crying all day.
Ariella felt pity for the beautiful lady, no woman deserved to be treated like this by any man, no matter what.
“Babe,” The lady called out, her voice shaky, and then she hugged him, but he immediately pulled out from the hug.
The lady burst into tears and began to tell him how much she loved him and didn’t want to lose him.
Ariella felt like a terrible person when she saw the lady shed tears in her presence. It was all her fault that the lady was abandoned on the altar on her wedding day.
Ariella expected him to comfort her, but instead,
“I already found my mate!” He yelled, and she saw everyone, including his mother, stiffened. His tone was filled with rage, it was as though he was going to destroy anybody who reminded him of the wedding.
He hissed loudly and opened the hospital door, gesturing for the lady to get out. Ariella saw the lady bow her head in shame.
Why was he so cruel to his bride to be? Wasn’t it because he loved her the reason he wanted to marry her in the first place?
Why was he now acting like this?
Who was that his mate?
Wait! He said something like “Mate” to her before she passed out. Was she his mate?
Ariella knew she was in a wolf kingdom because of the warrior wolves she saw at the wedding venue. She had read about wolves numerous times, so she recognized them when she saw them.
Jason called her his mate immediately he saw her, similar to the way she had read that Alphas announced their mates sometimes when they meet for the first time.
Ariella laughed at the thought of being Jason’s mate, that wasn’t even possible, she was a fairy and he a wolf.
Ariella had heard about Alphas marking humans as their mate but a fairy? That was crazy.
His mother threatened to make him regret his actions and walked out angrily. Ariella felt and understood her pains. It seemed like his mother had a special relationship with the wife to be.
As soon as the mother left, the doctor came in to check on Ariella and announced that she was discharged and free to go home.
“Finally, we will be going home today,” He told Ariella smiling, but Ariella refused then he got angry and declared that they were going home, and it was final.
All along, Daisy sat quiet, observing all that was happening.
Before Sabastine died, he told her something, and it seemed like this was what Sabastine spoke about.
*****Months Back*****
It was late at night and Daisy was about to go to bed when she heard a knock on the door of her room. It was quite late, so who could be knocking by this time?
Daisy was alerted, she grabbed something to hit the imposter with if he or she turned out to be a thief.
Daisy opened the door and was surprised to see Sabastine standing in front of her, looking dejected. What happened? Was something wrong?
Sabastine entered without even Daisy asking him to enter into her room and sat on her bed. They’ve been friends for years now, so they dropped all formality when it was time for them to relate privately.
“What is it, Sabastine? You look like someone who lost something of great worth,” Daisy inquired.
“The prophet said Ariella shall be the one who can manipulate the four elements of magic.”
“Wow, that’s a good thing. We finally found the person who has those special abilities, and it turns out to be Ariella. I know she won’t misuse the gift, so I don’t understand why you are sad.”
Sabastine looked at Daisy for a few seconds and heaved before saying,
“That’s not what is bothering me, Daisy, there’s more to it.”
“Really? What is that? Talk to me,” Daisy, who had been standing all along, finally took a sit beside Sabastine.
“He also said that she will be the mate of a wolf. Not just any wolf Daisy, but an Alpha, like Ariella will be a Luna.”
“What!” Daisy exclaimed shocked. How was that even possible?
“It’s crazy, right? Like, how is that possible? We’ve only read about wolves in books but haven’t seen any in our lifetime. So how are they even going to meet? I would have said the prophet was saying nonsense, but all his prophecies have never failed, and I am worried, Daisy. I don’t want Ariella to get hurt, her mother won’t forgive me if that happens.”
“Why would the creator choose Ariella to be a wolf’s wife? There are good men here in my kingdom, so why can’t she get married to any, if not a wolf? The worst part of it all is, I can’t even go against fate,” Sabastine’s voice was shaky.
Daisy held his hands and caressed them slowly, comforting him.
“Sabastine, the creator knows your daughter is capable, that is why he chose her. Don’t bother yourself. Let’s just allow fate to unfold on it own accord. I am sure that Ariella will be fine, and I promise to protect her even with the last drop of my blood.”
*****Back to present*****
Daisy smiled visibly, so Beatrice cutting off Ariella’s wings and they finding themselves in the forest and now in a wolf kingdom was just fate.
Finally, Ariella met the Alpha, but seeing the circumstances surrounding the Alpha, Ariella was going to have numerous enemies and as she Daisy swore, she’ll protect Ariella even with the last drop of her blood.
But she wasn’t going to tell Ariella that it was her fate to marry an Alpha. She would allow things to go exactly how it were meant to go. It wasn’t in her power to interrupt.
“You must go home with me tonight!” Jason declared, jolting Daisy from her thoughts.
Ariella looked at him with daring eyes, asking him to do his worst. But before Ariella could even blink, Jason carried her in a bridal style and walked out of the room.
Ariella struggled to free herself and kept screaming,
“Let me go! Do you know who I am? I am the princess of my kingdom. I am doing to deal with you if you don’t let go. Let go of me!”
Daisy trailed after them and smiled before saying,
“Princess of your kingdom indeed.”
