As Jacinta ran away, the hypnosis on Isabella broke, and she came back to her senses. Jason came back to where his mother was after looking around the area where he saw the person.
Isabella tried to move closer to her son but felt a stinging pain in her leg because of the injury the first wolf who attacked had given her.
Jason carried his mother in a bridal style and went to the clinic.
“Mother!” Jacinta called, running to the clinic. Jacinta face was full of panic, like she didn’t know what had happened.
She saw Jason looking at her in a weird way and wondered why. Jason was looking at Jacinta’s dress, it looked familiar, but he couldn’t place a finger on it, so he just waved it off.
Isabella’s wound was treated and Jason carried her back to her room.
Susan came to visit Isabella few hours later, the news of the attack has widely spread across the kingdom. Immediately she heard it, she decided to be a good friend and come visit Isabella. It wasn’t as though she cared, but she just had to pretend.
Susan was warmly welcomed by the maids and soldiers. She was an important personality in the kingdom.
Jason was coming down the stairs when he heard a familiar voice responding to greetings. He came down and saw that it was Jacinta’s mother. He greeted her coldly, then told her where his mother was when she asked. But immediately Susan climbed the stairs, Jason turned and looked at her suspiciously.
Susan got to Isabella’s room and knocked. Isabella responded, and she entered, Isabella was beyond excited to see Susan. Susan has been supportive and loving to her since the day they became friends, which is why she knew Jacinta was the best choice for Jason.
Susan brought varieties of fruits for Isabella as a gift and Isabella gladly accepted them, not knowing it were poisoned.
She asked for what transpired and Isabella explained without leaving a tiny detail out. The truth was, the moment Jacinta’s mother heard that Isabella was attacked by her soldiers, she knew it was hypnosis and Jacinta was the one behind it.
Susan had to poison Isabella because things could get out of hand and Jacinta will be caught as the culprit.
Susan knew that once Isabella felt better, the next thing she was going to do was to find out the person behind the hypnosis and Isabella has never failed in her findings before.
A soft knock was heard on the door and Jason came in. It was time for his mother’s wound to be checked, and he wanted to take her to the doctor.
The truth was, he felt really uncomfortable leaving his mother together with Susan. It was the doctor who was supposed to go to his Mother’s room and check on her, but he decided to carry her there instead.
Jason just didn’t know why, he felt disturbed leaving both of them in the room. He felt a dark aura oozing from Susan the moment she came to visit his mother, and felt it even stronger now that he entered to carry his mother.
His intuition was never wrong.
Isabella was stunned to hear Jason say he wanted to take her to the doctor. The doctor was supposed to come to her, not the other way round. So what was he doing?
“Why can’t the doctor come here?” Isabella asked suspiciously.
“Mom, it’s because I want you to put your leg to use, you need to exercise it, so it would heal fast. I’m not going to carry you like I did earlier, we’ll be walking to the clinic together,” Jason explained smartly.
Isabella saw reasons with him and agreed to follow him, while Susan decided to go see her daughter Jacinta.

Jacinta paced around the room with her heart beating fast. Did Jason know she was the one? The way he looked at her strangely made her scared. He looked at her like he knew she was the one behind the hypnosis.
A knock landed on the door and her heart jumped. She was terrified, she didn’t know whether she should open the door or not.
Who was at the door?
Jacinta hesitated but after much delay she opened the door, and she was stunned, standing before her was her mother. It was such a relief to see her mother here.
Jacinta hugged her mother just like someone who had seen her savior. Jacinta narrated all that happened to her mother and her mother, after applauding her, told her she was going to be fine and that nothing will happen to her.
“Isabella will soon be out of the picture, get ready to take over her position and inherit her properties,” Susan suddenly told her daughter.
“Really? Mum! What did you do?,” Jacinta asked, getting all excited.
“I added a deadly poison to the fruits I brought for her. The poison doesn’t kill instantly, it will take about two or three days before she finally dies, so no one would ever suspect it’s me.”
Jacinta was stunned, her mother was badder than she thought, every time, her mother kept showing her new versions of her she never knew existed.
“Bang!” The door made a sound like someone was eavesdropping and mistakenly hit the door. Susan and Jacinta stood up simultaneously and headed to the door.
Jacinta opened the door and they both looked outside to see if anyone was there. Susan, being the extra cautious one, asked Jacinta to stay back in the room, she couldn’t let anyone or anything hurt her daughter, it could be an enemy who knows.
Susan walked out of the room and began to look behind each corner of the hallway to see if there was someone hiding there.
Certainly, Someone came to the door because the door just couldn’t make a sound on it own.
“You had better come out before I fish you out myself,” Susan warned.
“Who are you talking to?” Jason’s voice startled Susan, but she immediately composed herself. Jason heard her talking to herself and decided to know if everything was alright or if she was going nuts.
“I was just about coming to you. My mother sent for you,” Jason said without waiting for her reply and turned to leave while Susan trailed behind him, still turning to see if anyone hiding had come out.

The maid hummed happily, she was about to go tell lady Jacinta that food was served at the dinning. This was her second week working at the castle, she has heard many other maids gossiping about how beautiful lady Jacinta was, and she badly wanted to see her beautiful face.
She was from a poor background and had never gotten the opportunity to see anyone from a prestigious family. She was so excited.
She got to lady Jacinta’s door and was nervous to knock, she took some time to calm herself down when suddenly she heard something shocking.
A woman who she had seen earlier that was said to be Jacinta’s mother said something about poisoning her mistress.
She was there when the woman came in with the basket of fruits, as a matter of fact, she was the one who helped her carry the basket.
So the fruits were poisoned.
That was a very cruel thing to do. She heard lady Jacinta’s mother and her mistress were best of friends, so why did she want her dead?
She didn’t know if had mistress had eaten the fruits yet, she had to quickly dispose it without anyone knowing; That’s if her mistress had not eaten it.
“Bang!” She mistakenly tripped and fell on the door due to shock, but she immediately stood up and ran to hide herself behind a pillar that was close to the hallway.
She saw Jacinta’s mother coming out and searching each corner of the hallway to see if there was anyone there.
“You had better come out before I fish you out myself!” Jacinta’s mother threatened and kept walking towards where she hid, her heart beat so fast, she was terrified, then luckily Alpha Jason came in and distracted her. As they walked, Jacinta’s mother kept looking back to see if she had come out of her hiding place.
After Jacinta’s mother was gone, she came out from where she hid and ran to her mistress’s room immediately. She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that the basket of fruits was untouched, then she took it out and immediately disposed it.
