Deceitful Hug

“Well, if that’s how you want it, you’ll get it,” Beatrice laughed hysterically.
Tracy looked confusedly at both her father and Beatrice. Did they know each other? It was quite surprising to her, how come they know each other? Her father, although a king, was never known to be a rude type, so how come he was acting all defensive towards Beatrice. Was Beatrice an enemy? Did she (Tracy) make the right decision by giving Beatrice her blood?
“Baby girl, come over here quick!” Sabastine called out to Tracy. Although he was acting all tough, seeing Tracy standing close to Beatrice made his heart panic, Beatrice was capable of many things.
“Not so fast, Sabastine!” Beatrice laughed and then, in a circular formation, she flew around Tracy and Tracy became trapped.
Tracy was captured inside a circular glass-like structure, known as the “Enchanted Crystal Circle.”
The Enchanted Crystal Circle was a unique, mystical trap created by the Beatrice. It was carefully designed to keep the king’s daughter confined and isolated. This circular structure was composed of transparent, glassy material with enchantments that prevented escape and outside intervention.
When Tracy was trapped within the Enchanted Crystal Circle, she found herself surrounded by the shimmering barrier. The circular shape offered no obvious exits or openings, making it incredibly challenging to break free. The glassy nature of the structure further added to the difficulty, as it is resistant to physical force and unable to be shattered easily.
Moreover, the enchantments placed upon the Enchanted Crystal Circle served to heighten the entrapment. These enchantments included spells that disallowed teleportation or magical transportation, making it impossible for anyone to whisk the princess away from within. Additionally, Beatrice added a magical barrier that prevented anyone from entering the circle or attempting a rescue.
Tracy’s predicament was both isolating and dangerous because she was effectively cut off from the world outside the Enchanted Crystal Circle. She couldn’t communicate or seek help (She could hear their conversations but none of them could hear her) and the lack of knowledge about the trap made it even more challenging to devise a plan for her rescue.
“Tracy! No!” Ariella screamed in tears and tried to run to her sister, but Daisy held her back.
The soldiers who were ready to attack gasped in surprise, and slowly they began to retreat. This woman was so powerful, none of them had seen a magic this astonishing. The woman looked very creepy and deadly.
“Let my daughter go this instant!” Sabastine roared in anger. He couldn’t bear to see his daughter trapped in a magic prison that was made from dark magic.
“Oh, poor Sabastine, you seem to have forgotten that I am not among those who are citizens of your kingdom. Do you need me to refresh your memory? No, right? Perfect, there’s no need of wasting time on such a boring story,”
Sabastine wanted to charge at her, but the prophet held him back and said in a whisper that was only heard by Sabastine,
“She has your daughter, if you act rashly, your daughter will be gone. Please act smart my king.” Sabastine clenched this fist tightly, the prophet was right, one rash behavior from him and Tracy was gone.
Tracy kept hitting the glass prison to see if she could break free from it, but nothing happened. Why did Beatrice trap her? Tracy’s eyes locked with that of Agnes, and she saw Agnes evilly grinning at her triumphantly. Why was Agnes laughing mischievously instead of trying to help her?
“Agnes, get me out of her this moment!” Tracy ordered, but Agnes, who couldn’t hear her, only smiled and looked away.
“So Sabastine are you ready to dine with me now? Or you want me to end your daughter’s life just as I ended her mother’s?”
A deep silence ensued, everyone’s mouth except Beatrice and her maid were left widely open. Sabastine couldn’t believe his ears, Beatrice killed his wife? No! That wasn’t possible, Beatrice never stepped a foot into the kingdom since her banishment until today. He was so sure that she wanted to rile him up, so he would react rashly, he knew her tactics and wouldn’t fall for it.
Beatrice, who was keenly watching Sabastine saw an expression of shock on Sabastine’s face was short-lived. His expression was now that of doubt or unbelief. Dumb man, he really believed she couldn’t have killed Mitchell because of the banishment.
“You don’t believe, right? How can you be so foolish? I see, marrying Mitchell made you become so dumb and foolish. Well, let give you a full detail of how it happened. You know, I love to tell stories a lot. Hahaha haha…”
***Years ago****
It was a bright and beautiful morning. The rising, beautiful sun shined directly on Mitchell’s face. Mitchell felt so energized and had this overwhelming urge to go for a walk. She had newly discovered she was pregnant with her second baby, and exercising her body a little wasn’t a bad idea.
Mitchell informed her husband that she was going for a walk and, of course, King Sabastine permitted his lovely wife to go for the walk, but not without assigning more guards to watch over and trail behind her.
Meanwhile, Agnes, on the other hand, has been in this kingdom for the past two weeks and was yet to meet the queen. This was her first test of competency, and she needed to pass it, but it seemed the queen knew of her assignment and was bent on hiding herself. If she achieved the mission given to her by her mistress, she would be able to continue living with her, but if she failed, she’ll be thrown out of the cave.
Agnes’s determination to meet the queen had died off but for some reason unknown to her, she decided to try once more and If she still didn’t meet the queen, she’ll give up.

In a grand and bustling marketplace, majestic Queen Mitchell gracefully walked among her subjects, radiating regal elegance. The air was filled with the delightful symphony of merchants hawking their wares, the enticing aroma of exotic spices, and the melodic chatter of shoppers. People paused in their activities, their eyes filled with awe and admiration at the sight of their beloved queen.
Amidst the crowd, A girl of humble appearance, dressed in tattered clothing, bravely stepped forward, yearning for a moment with the queen.
“My queen, can I talk to you please?” The girl asked. That girl was Agnes. Her fragile frame and worn features betrayed the hardships she endured daily.
“Make sure you get to hug her and that’s all, the deed is done.” Beatrice’s voice replayed in Agnes’s mind. With a quiet determination, Agnes mustered the courage to ask the queen for a simple, yet meaningful hug.
The queen’s loyal soldiers, ever vigilant in their duty to protect and preserve her welfare, instinctively moved to shield her from any potential harm. With a gentle but firm disposition, they attempted to steer the girl away, unaware of her true intentions. However, Queen Mitchell, known for her benevolent spirit and sympathetic heart, sensed a genuine need in the girl’s eyes.
Against the advice of her guards, Mitchell, driven by empathy and compassion, commanded her soldiers to step aside and allowed the girl to approach. In that fleeting moment, a moment already destined to have fateful consequences, Mitchell opened her arms, inviting the girl into an embrace.
Unbeknownst to the queen, this seemingly innocent hug served as a cloak for a hidden and sinister purpose. The girl, fueled by desperation, carried within her a malicious illness, a needle-like poison, designed to infiltrate Mitchell’s s body and gradually consume her with a merciless, untimely demise.
Oblivious to the impending danger, Mitchell completed the embrace, her heart full of empathy and her mind focused on easing the girl’s suffering. The poison, stealthily transmitted through the embrace, now began its clandestine journey within the queen’s body, quietly laying the foundation for the tragedy that will soon unfold.
As time passed, Mitchell’s health slowly deteriorated, her strength waning and her spirit gradually succumbing to the insidious effects of the illness. The once vibrant marketplace became shrouded in sorrow as news of the queen’s untimely demise spread throughout the kingdom. Hearts ache, tears fall, and grief embraces every corner of the realm as the loss of their beloved queen left an indelible void.
