Ariella’s Premonition

Book:The Wingless Fairy (The Alpha's Luna) Published:2024-6-3

The long-awaited day finally came, but for some unknown reason, Ariella woke up feeling sad. It felt like she was about to lose something very dear to her.
This was the third time in her life she was having this same feeling. The first time she had this feeling was when she was still a child, and her mother died that very same day. Since few nights ago the prophet visited, she has been restless and now this feeling was making her more restless. She wished she could foresee the tragic event that was prophesied about and stop it.
Daisy walked into the room and noticed Ariella sitting down deep in thoughts, not yet dressed for the occasion. She wondered why. This was the very same event Ariella had been all excited about, so what was this sad mood for?
“What’s going on with you, dear?” Daisy inquired, gently rubbing Ariel’s back. Ariella opened up to Daisy and told her exactly how she felt.
“It might be mood swings, honey. Don’t attach any negative meaning to it, okay?” Daisy assured, but inwardly Daisy was troubled. Ariella sad feelings always turned out to be premonitions of something ugly about to happen. She remembered what happened years ago:
****Years ago****
It was a bright and beautiful morning for everyone except Ariella. Ariella cried non-stop for hours, making everyone worried. When she was asked the reason for crying, she told her parents that she felt something bad was going to happen that day, but they all ignored her words, thinking she was just a child and didn’t know what she was saying. Later that day, the queen died from an illness that was discovered late.
Also another time, Ariella had complained of the same feelings and, as usual, they never took her serious. The next day, over fifty of the royal soldiers were found dead. It was later confirmed that they all died from food poisoning.
***Back to present***
Daisy knew something terrible was going to happen today, and she had to prepare adequately for what was about to unfold. Many people were going to be present at the ceremony today, and anyone could be an enemy. No one could be trusted.
Daisy reassured Ariella and helped her with dressing up.

The Royal Hall was beautifully decorated. Petals of flowers with different shades of colors were used in decorating the hall. The hall was painted in the seven colors of the rainbow. Each of the seven colours stood out.
Old, young, rich, poor, royal and ordinary fairies filled the place. Some fairies had a mask on, they used the mask as a means of decoration and also as a means of protection. Not every one, especially the royal ones, wanted their faces to be seen.
Tracy looked beautiful, it was as though today was her coronation because she of the way she dressed. She wore a cute burnt orange gradient tulle long dress; the dress was A-line spaghetti strapped made. The beautiful pieces of gold earrings and necklace she wore, stood out, making her more attractive. Tracy became the center of attention the moment she stepped in, and she smiled in satisfaction when she saw the reactions.
Ariella also stepped in after Tracy and the whole universe stood still. She was dressed in a floral sexy slash necked dress, it was an off – shoulder long – sleeve luxury corset gown that brought out her beautiful curves. Her hair was packed in a high ponytail and that made her even more beautiful. She also wore a beautiful piece of gold earrings and necklace. The crystal blue royal bracelet she wore on her arm shone brightly. She walked elegantly to where her father’s throne was and sat beside him gracefully.
Agnes could never in her lifetime deny that Ariella was beautiful. Ariella’s beauty was blinding. She stared intensely at Ariella’s beautiful oval-shaped face. Her skin looked smooth and delicate, like that of a newborn. Her nose was pointed and beautiful. Not only that, but her lips were very pink and looked sumptuous. Tracy gritted her teeth in annoyance when she caught Agnes staring at Ariella admiringly.
Tracy burned in anger. Ariella took the attention of the whole people present from her, and now she was taking her friend’s attention from her as well.

A few moments after the ceremony commenced, Agnes heard her mistress’s voice in her head telling her to bring Tracy to her. Now that everyone in the kingdom was engrossed in the ongoing ceremony, it was a perfect time to lure Tracy out and carry out their intended mission.
Tracy’s gaze locked with that of Agnes, who was sat among the congregation. Agnes winked at Tracy as a way of telling her it was time to go meet the enchantress. Tracy stood up silently and left without anyone noticing, Agnes also stood up from where she sat and followed suit.
Agnes led the way while Tracy followed obediently. They flew far away from the palace and headed to the main entrance of the entire kingdom. Tracy, who blindly trusted Agnes, never cared to pause and wonder how Agnes knew every route of this kingdom, if she was from another kingdom as she claimed to be.
Ariella was the first to notice Tracy’s absence. She immediately brought Daisy, who was standing beside her, attention to it. She stood up from her sit and flew out of the hall immediately in search for her sister. Daisy followed her. Ariella was going crazy! No! Her sister mustn’t die. Nothing must happen to her only sister. No matter what Tracy did to her, she was the only sister she ever had.
Ariella and Daisy searched the whole palace premises for any sight of Tracy, but she was nowhere to be found. Ariella sat on the floor, weakened by the sad realization that just hit her; they have taken away her sister from her, just like her mother left her. Ariella held her chest like someone who was experiencing a heart attack. Her heart was shattered into pieces. Daisy, who could have sworn that she, was prepared for whatever was going to happen that day, finally realized that she was not even halfway prepared. She never expected things to unfold this way. Although Tracy has always been rude to her, she was her late best friend’s child, and she promised her best friend that she would protect her before she died.
Ariella stood up from the ground quickly, immediately a thought crossed her mind. She sent Daisy to check if Agnes was among those at the congregation, and Daisy left.
Meanwhile, Tracy got to the main entrance but wasn’t granted access to leave the kingdom by the soldiers. The soldiers didn’t permit them to leave because the king never gave them such an order. One royal blood was worth the lives of a thousand people, and they weren’t ready to risk losing the heir apparent to the throne. It will land them in grave trouble.
Seeing that no matter how she tried to persuade the soldiers, they were never going to let her out, Tracy’s face fell in sadness.
“I know a way that leads outside the kingdom. It is a small gate that is at the back side of the kingdom. I’m sure we can be able to pass through there.”
Those words she heard from Agnes immediately made her mood brighten up.
