Daisy Stands Up To Tracy

Book:The Wingless Fairy (The Alpha's Luna) Published:2024-6-3

Agnes, who was obviously enjoying her meal, felt a soft hand touch her neck, and suddenly, she felt an electric current flow through her body, she screamed in pain and fell to the floor gasping for air like one who was electrocuted.
Agnes scream attracted everyone. They were all surprised to see Ariella standing close to Agnes, who was on the floor. Tracy dashed towards Agnes in a sprint.
“Get the damn doctors!” Tracy held Agnes, who was still gasping for air. Tracy stared daggers at Ariella with an accusing eyes, Ariella wanted to explain, but words refused to come out from her mouth.
“Ariella! Are you okay?” Sabastine held Ariella and turned her sideways, checking if she had any injury.
Daisy had an unreadable expression on her face, but deep down she was happy. She knew Agnes was an enemy from the Instant she saw her and had been thinking of ways to prove she was an enemy, but Ariella beat her to the game and made things easier for her. While thinking, she obliviously let out a short smile and Tracy’s eyes caught a glimpse of it.
However, Tracy couldn’t react because of the urgency of the matter on the ground. She would wait until after Agnes was confirmed okay before dealing with Daisy. Tracy followed the doctors as they wheeled Agnes away.
After few scans and thorough check-ups, the doctor confirmed that she was okay and was just shocked from a memory flash she had. They said the seizure she had was as a result of the intensity of the memory flash; it looked so real to her.
Daisy was disappointed. How could the doctors say it was a shock from a memory flash? She was expecting them to declare it was black magic and that there were no wounds. Even the king, seemed not to have understood what was happening. It was as if his brain had been wiped off, and he could no longer point out a display of black magic when he saw one.
****Later That Night****
“Daisy, I didn’t hurt that lady, I swear!” Ariella explained, at the verge of exploding in tears. She didn’t hurt the lady. She only went closer and touched her to confirm she was not hallucinating.
Not only that, but she never expected the lady to scream in pain after she touched her. Everyone present at the dinning except her father and Daisy looked at her with questioning eyes, and she felt really ashamed of herself.
Daisy listened attentively without interrupting her and when Ariella was done talking, she spoke;
“I believe you Ariel. I know you to be the kindest fellow I have ever met. You are so innocent and wouldn’t think of doing such a horrible thing to anyone. But, what made you touch her? How did you get there? One minute you were eating beside me and the next she was on the floor screaming, and you were there standing close to her”
Daisy already knew the power from the bracelet was what sent the electric shock to Agnes’s body, but Ariella must have seen something to have gone over to Agnes’s side and touched her. She wanted to confirm if Ariella saw the same falsified wounds on Agnes’s body, disappearing and appearing as she did. She didn’t just want to assume Ariella saw them.
Ariella seemed hesitant for a while, she thought if it was right for her to tell Daisy what she saw. Wouldn’t Daisy laugh at her and tell her she was hallucinating? After much contemplating, Ariella finally gave in and spoke;
“I know you wouldn’t believe me, but I swear Daisy, I saw the wounds visible on her body disappearing and appearing.”
“I knew it!” Daisy screamed in her head.
However, the following seconds, a short silence ensued between them both, with Daisy looking at Ariel with a confused expression. Daisy, in her head, was contemplating whether or not to tell Ariella that Agnes’s wound were made from black magic and weren’t real. She was thinking about how Ariella would take the news.
“See! You don’t believe me, right? I knew it,” Ariella mistook Daisy’s facial expression to be doubt.
“I believe you Ariel,” Daisy, who was jolted by to reality by Ariella sudden outburst, reassured.
“See! Ariella, there’s something I need to tell you,”Daisy knew she had to explain what Ariella saw, so Ariella wouldn’t fall a victim to it. “Okay,” was the only word Ariella could utter in response. Ariella adjusted herself and sat comfortably with anticipation in her eyes like a child who was being read a bedtime story by her mother.
“Okay,” Daisy took a deep breath. “What you saw earlier was…”
“Here you are! Sneaky fool!” Tracy barged in without knocking, interrupting Daisy’s and Ariella’s conversation. Tracy had gone to look for Daisy in her room, but couldn’t find her. She went further by searching other places like the kitchen, guest room etc., to see if Daisy had hidden there, but she still didn’t find her. Then she remembered Daisy was always around Ariella and decided to check if she was with Ariella and boom! Here she was!
Tracy stood akimbo, shaking her body impatiently. Tracy expected Daisy begs for forgiveness, but surprisingly, Daisy was just sitting and watching her quietly with a blank expression; No sign of fear! Tracy knew that somehow Daisy didn’t like her but as the king’s daughter, she was to be respected by her workers and all those who weren’t royals, but this stupid maid here was doing the complete opposite, infuriating her further.
“Aren’t you going to beg!” Tracy roared yet Daisy still say looking at her without flinching.
“Are you insane! Do you want to die tonight!” Tracy roared again when she saw Daisy was unmoved, maybe if she threatened Daisy with death, Daisy would react.
“I am not insane, your Highness and I can’t die,” Daisy replied calmly, surprising Tracy with her words.
“She can’t die? What does she mean,” Tracy thought inwardly. “So why were you laughing earlier, eh? You were happy seeing my friend in pain , right?” Tracy asked.
“That’s okay, Tracy!” Ariella who had been quiet all along, finally, spoke. Was laughing a crime? She knew Daisy was a good person and wouldn’t laugh at anyone’s pains.
“Well! Well! The pretender finally spoke. I knew you’ve always been jealous of me, but I never knew you’d go as far as hurting my guest, innocent little Ariel!” Tracy mocked.
Ariella was infuriated. She? Jealous? How could she be jealous of someone she loves? Aside to loving Tracy, she knew was a better and nicer person than Tracy, so why would be jealous of Tracy’s rude characters.
“I am not jealous of you, you have nothing in you that will make me want to be jealous of you. Can’t you see? People don’t like you because you are not nice, and I see absolutely nothing to be jealous about over that.”
Tracy’s eyes burned with anger. She couldn’t contain the anger. She raised her hand to slap Ariella but her hand stopped midway before it could touch Ariella’s face.
“Do not touch my mistress.” Daisy warned firmly holding Tracy’s hand with anger burning in her eyes, completely shocking Ariella and Tracy.
