“Get out!” The sound of glass breaking was heard after a young lady threw the glass cup beside her at her maid. The maid sprinted out of the room with fright written all over her face. The maid let out a sob when she saw blood gushing out of a cut on her arm; the glass thrown at her gave her a cut.
****Back at the young lady’s room****
The young lady paced around angrily. Her breath sounded heavy, making it evident that she was deeply enraged. She had done everything possible to make him fall for her, but he kept rejecting her. His foolish reason she had no idea. She was beautiful and smart enough to be his woman. She knew she was enough.
Furthermore, she thought with time, he will grow to love her, but now she realized, she only fooled herself with the false hope that he will love her. But, she was determined to make him love her willingly or either ways.
What made her even more frustrated was that the man she loved had no woman in his life. She couldn’t say he was rejecting her because he was in love with someone else. No! There was no one. The news of what happened to Jason and Roselyn was widely known in the kingdom. Aside her, other beautiful ladies in the kingdom were also attracted to him, but he never gave any of them attention, he even had no female friend among his friend cycle. It was as though he were avoiding anything to do with women.
She could have threatened or killed the woman in his life if there was any but now, there was none, and she didn’t know where to throw her arrows at.
“Jacinta, snap off out it!” A woman’s voice spoke, to bring her back to reality.
“Mum! When did you get here?” She was so deep in her thought that she haven’t noticed her mother come in. “I have been here for the past ten minutes,” the woman looked at her with a blank expression.
Jacinta, although angry, stared at her mother with admiration. She didn’t know how she managed to always look calm even in the midst of a storm. Her mother’s blank expression, somehow, reminded her of that jerk she was in love with. He knew how to keep an unreadable face even when he had countless things going on in his head. Although, he was a master of it than her mother, she couldn’t help but admire her mother’s ability. She, on the other hand, couldn’t keep an expressionless face like her mother; any emotion she felt was always evident in her face.
“What happened? Tell me about it,” Susan asked, maintaining the blank expression on her face. ” He still doesn’t love me mother, after all I have done. I don’t know what else he wants me to do.” Bitterness could be heard in Jacinta’s voice when she spoke.
A smirk appeared on Susan’s lips. She couldn’t help but laugh inwardly at how clueless her daughter was. The best way to get someone was to use a person very close to them. She was willing to do everything and anything as long as her daughter was happy. It going the hard way was what was needed, she will gladly do.
“You are close to his mother, right? Why don’t you use her as a bait?”
Jacinta eyes widened as though a thought flashed through her mind, and slowly her lips curved into a smile.
*****The next day*****
“Jacinta! Come here child!” Isabella was so thrilled to see Jacinta. Jacinta lit up as she stared at Isabella’s mansion. It was so big that it could accommodate almost half of the kingdom’s population. She couldn’t wait to become Jason’s wife and finally become the owner of the mansion.
Isabella looked at Jacinta with questioning eyes when she saw that she came with plenty of luggages like someone who intended staying in her mansion for a long time.
“Your Highness! I’m so sorry to have come without informing you, but please can I stay with you for some time? I promise to help out in any way I can. Not only that, but I’ve missed you a lot mother ,” Jacinta pleaded with cute eyes, sensing Isabella’s thoughts.
Jason’s mother, Isabella was treated as a queen and was called “Your Highness!” because of her son. She was respected by every single person in the land.
Although Jacinta never informed her of her visit, Isabella thought she was so sweet and thoughtful and couldn’t refuse her plea. Isabella smiled brightly and ordered some maids to prepare a room for Jacinta and take her luggage there.
She telepathy to Jason telling him they had a visitor; without saying the visitor’s name, and he should prepare to meet the visitor.

Jason laid helplessly on the bed. He has woken up a while ago but felt lazy to get up from the bed. There was nothing much for him to do apart from the usual routine; supervising the affairs of the kingdom. He always oversaw the kingdom affairs to ensure everything was in place. He was seen as a king because he was the most feared and respected.
Staring blankly at his ceiling, the image of the fairy he was in love with flashed through his mind, and he smiled. He wondered how grown she would be now. Another thought flashed through his mind and his face darkened. What if his woman was married to another man? What if she was already pregnant for another man? Thoughts of another man impregnating her angered Jason, and he growled loudly. If she was married to someone else, he would kill the man who was his rival and if she was pregnant for another man, he would wait for her to give birth and then kill the child as he couldn’t afford to hurt her.
Unknown to Jason, his inward thoughts had an outward effect on him, and his claws began to come out. “We have a visitor, Jason. Please get ready and come downstairs to meet our visitor.” A feminine voice which turned out to be his mother’s spoke, waking him up from his deep thoughts.
“A visitor?” Jason thought inwardly. Seeing his mother telepathy to him instead of sending a maid to call him down, Jason knew the visitor was someone important to his mother.
Jason stood up lazily and dragged himself into the bathroom.
While showering, Jason’s mind was not at ease, and he couldn’t help but wonder why. It felt as though something he never wanted was happening already. After Jason finished showering, he quickly dressed up and headed out of his room to meet the visitor. As he walked through the hallway, he heard his mother’s voice again in his head telling him that she and the visitor were in the dining.
“Who’s this visitor, mum?” Jason curiously inquired through telepathy, but his mother never replied. Getting closer to the dining room, Jason heard two voices laughing heartily, he recognized one of those voices as his mother’s, the other voice sounded familiar, but he couldn’t tell who it belonged to.
Finally, Jason entered into the dinning room and his gaze met with that of Jacinta. Jason stared at her with coldness in his eyes, many thoughts ran through his mind.
A moment of long silence ensued, with both Jason and Jacinta still staring intensely at each other. Finally, Jason spoke coldly,
“I’m not hungry, I’ll be in my room, mum.” Then he walked away, totally ignoring Jacinta.
