“Jason, you need a Luna!” Isabella yelled at her son.
Jason was a known as the strongest wolf in the werewolf kingdom. He was the only son of a very wealthy family. Jason’s father was known as a strong werewolf while he was alive, but Jason was even stronger than his father and any other werewolf ever known. Therefore, it wasn’t wrong to say he was the strongest ever born. There were many other alphas and their packs but Jason’s pack was the most feared because of his extraordinary powers.
Jason was said to be blessed by the universe. He stayed a year and two months in his mother’s belly before he was finally born. For two days, when Isabella, his mom went into labor, the sky was darkened and the sun was only restored the moment he came out of his mother’s belly. He also shifted into his wolf form when he was just ten years old.
Jason was an extraordinary child. Aside to being the strongest, Jason was intelligent and handsome beyond words. Jason was what we call a typical bad boy. He was ferocious and merciless. People shivered at the sound of his name, he was greatly feared over the kingdom. Women flocked around him.
Years ago, while Jason was still a high school student, he slapped his mathematics teacher for disturbing his precious sleep and almost got the teacher fired.
Seeing that Jason was becoming a nuisance, Mr. Alex Jason’s father assigned five strong bodyguards to follow Jason and prevent him from causing any scene, but Jason broke all the five men legs the very day they started their duty.
Jason’s life changed when he fell in love with a beautiful girl named Roselyn. Roselyn tamed him. The once ferocious Jason became considerate and loving, he began to treat people rightly, but that calm side of Jason died when he caught Roselyn in bed with his best friend Mike.
Hell broke loose that day!
Jason went back to his merciless self and became ever worst.
He hated women to the core, and the mere sight of them irritated him.
“Say something! Jason!” Isabella nudged him when she noticed he kept looking at her without uttering a word.
“I’m still searching for her, mother!” Jason spoke calmly.
“Don’t tell me you are still hung up on the mysterious lady, Jason!” Isabella scoffed in disbelief.
It’s been six years since her son said saw some mysterious lady he claimed to have fallen in love with at first sight.
“Mother, you don’t get it, I love her, and she’s the only one I want as my mate. Until I find her, there will be no Luna.” He said firmly.
“What about Jacinta? She’s been waiting patiently for years now. Is this how are going to treat her? After all, her loyalty to you?”
“Mom, you and I know I don’t love that girl. She keeps throwing herself on me, even after I have told her severally that we are not going to happen. So, it’s not my fault, and it’s also none of my business.”
“I’m out, mum,” Jason walked out angrily.
Isabella sighed in disappointment. It wasn’t her intention to upset him. She was jealous when most of her women she was acquainted with announced proudly that their sons had mated with someone. An alpha needed a Luna, but Jason wasn’t understanding. He was still interested in his futile search for a young girl he claimed to have met years ago. Initially, Isabella thought it was one of those puberty effects but now she knew it was beyond that. Jason was obsessed with an imaginary beautiful girl, or so she thought.
**********
Jason stared at the sky from the mountain top he sat on. The night was icy and beautiful. Although, he didn’t admit to his mother in her presence, she was right. As the only son of his mother, he supposed to have mated with a girl. After his heart was shattered, he vowed never to love any woman, but that determination changed when he met her four years ago.
****Two years ago****
Jason’s father had annoyed him that day and Jason angrily wandered far away from the wolves’ kingdom. He was only eighteen then, consumed by his vigorous urge to explore, he left his kingdom without informing any of his parents. His parents had always tried to control his life and he was sick of it. His father grounded him from going out, but he had managed to escape and nothing in the world was going to make him miss the opportunity to explore. He was done being the held down by them. He was even the strongest among his peers, so why were his parents worried about his life. Likewise, he felt he was a grown man and could do everything on his own.
His initially plan was to wander far from his kingdom, but not too far. But his wolf kept compelling him, it will say with a growl,
“Jason, the chance you always wanted for years has come, and you want to make it short-lived. Don’t dare!”
After much thought, Jason yielded to his wolf and went further. Two days later, before he knew what was happening, he found himself in the woods in the middle of nowhere. How he got to this place he didn’t know, one time, he was busy exploring and getting mesmerized by the mountains, valleys and beautiful oceans he came across, and now he was in a strange-looking place.
Rustling sounds of leaves were heard, and his wolf became alerted. Jason was about to transform into his wolf when his eyes fell on a beautiful young lady. She seemed stunned, as she stood still without making a slight movement. Her fire-like eyes sparkled, her bronze hair was long and beautiful.
What was such a beautiful young lady doing in such a dangerous place? Jason took a few steps forward when he noticed something sparkling at her back moving, she moved backwards as he approached. Jason’s eyes bulged out when it turned out that the sparkling thing he saw on her back were beautiful wings. Jason was stunned for a few seconds, he was mesmerized by the fact he saw a live fairy, he always read about them but never imagined he was going to come across one in his life. He thought stories about fairies were a made up fantasy.
Jason came to his senses and became alerted again. His wolf growled inwardly, ready to be unleashed. Although, Jason was initially stunned, he couldn’t help but feel a strange aura from the woman standing in front of him. It smelt evil. And when it came to being dangerous, women were more ruthless than men, and he wouldn’t take chances. Moreover, he hated women and she was one.
He was a werewolf, an alpha, and he knew when someone with evil intention was around. He could perceive auras. Furthermore, he growled loudly, and his claws began to come out one after the other.
“Tracy!” A voice stopped him midway. It was the voice of a woman. The voice was tiny, beautiful, and angelic. His eyes fell on the most beautiful woman ever.
Jason froze!
Jason’s once angry eyes softened instantly.
She also had wings, but her wings were more beautiful, it had different drawings of beautiful colored flowers on them. Her ocean-like gave him a questioning look, the gentle breeze blew her some strands of her beautiful long hair that was initially at her face backwards, making her even more beautiful.
“What are you doing here?” The first fairy he saw, whose name he now knew was Tracy, roared at the other fairy in anger.
“I followed you here, I wanted to come with you and go anywhere you go.” The other fairy face fell in sadness.
“You always ruin things! I hate you! Don’t come close to me.”
Jason clenched his fist in anger, his claws had withdrawn back to their hidden position. Why was Tracy rude to the other fairy? His blood boiled in rage, he felt he had to protect the innocent fairy who was being bullied, but he couldn’t bring himself to. He didn’t want her to see him as a bad person, and he was unable to understand why. His heart beats were loud and fast. The once angry and defensive Jason became soft – hearted.
He had a strong urge to protect her, and he didn’t understand why.
What was these feelings he was having?
What was this burning sensation he’s feeling in his heart?
Jason knew he had to leave before he did something crazy.
He took one look at the flower fairy, who in turn looked at him with teary eyes before he ran away at an inhuman speed.
*****Back to reality*****
It’s been years already. His mum was already bothering his life. She wasn’t like that initially, but after his father died, she changed. He knew how lonely she was and how much she wanted a daughter-in-law to always chit-chat with. She always reminded him of how much she loved kids and hoped to have her grandkids soon.
As much as he wanted to grant her heart’s desire. He couldn’t bring himself to love any other woman except that beautiful fairy.
Over the years, he finally realized he was in love with the fairy.
As Jason thought about the fairy, he felt that same strange sensation that he had felt in his heart four years ago when he met her.
Was this truly love?
Why was this feeling stronger than what he felt for Roselyn?
