We navigated the pathway down until we teach the dead end. I saw a hige fire outside the prisoner’s cell. I saw a pack. They’re in a werewolf form. So they keep monsters like them too. What if my daughter was inside? I heard loud growls inside as the fire thickens.
“What do we do? We might get killed with fire?” Damian told me but I quickly shifted in my wolf form.
I can’t let them die. They need my help and they’re innocents.
“Ahhhh!” I ran near the fire and hit the prison door with my giant body and I did well. The lock opened and they ran out from the blazing fire.
I ran too and followed them. We head back to the King’s throne. The packs I helped waited and turned back to human again.
One of them came forward. Maybe he was their senior.
“Thanks for saving us. I’m Rahal of the Blue Night Packs but we must go. Whatever you came for, do it quickly while everyone is gone!” He said and I wanted to know why all the soldiers are gone and their king.
Maybe they knew about Anika. I need to find out.
“Wait! Where is everyone? Why they let this place on fire?” I asked him.
Rahal took a deep breath. It’s good to keep it a secret but he helped them so I think he can trust this man.
“May I know first why you’re here if it’s okay to you, sir?” He said.

Damian went forward.
“Pay respect! He’s King Theus of Reggedon packs! He’s here to find a girl named Anika! Do you know her?” He explained to them.
Reez was the one who replied.
“Yes, she’s a girl who out everyone in danger! Now, our Alpha is with her in the city of Salem!” She told the King. Rahal just stayed quiet.
“I got a link from our Alpha and this is not good. Let’s go!” Rahal ordered his packs.
King Theus called them.
“Wait, we’ll go too!” He said and Rahal continued running with his packs.
King Theus didn’t waste a time. They ran with them howling in the darkness.
Ariana POV as Anika
It’s been a long day in the office. John was very quiet the whole day. He just went to pass his report and went back to his desk. He’s not as funny as our first meeting. It’s odd too that most of the employees in the company weren’t as friendly as they are when I first came here. They greeted me with their lips, not with their heart like they’re forced to do it.
I caress my neck while I’m resting my back on my chair when John came.
“You seem tired!” He mumbled.
I quickly went back to my normal gesture and face him.
“Yeah, maybe. Why you’re here? Your report is good so no need to—-“, I’m surprised when he interrupts me.
” Really? It’s not what you requested from me a month ago. How can you be so careless, Anika!!!” His voice seems to warn me.
I felt like someone pushed me off the cliff. I froze but I managed to get back on my senses. I took a deep breath and play as cool as I can. I glared like a real Anika at John.
“What? Are you telling me that I am careless now because it’s not what I gave you to finish? You know how painful to me when I found out that Jerick came back after running away from our wedding!” I told him as my tears started to stream down my face.
I wipe them out.
John felt sentimental too.
” I’m so sorry, Nika. I don’t know what you’re going through.” He said and wrapped his arms at my back but I felt a sharp thing pricking on my neck.
” You can’t fool me like how you tricked everyone here!” He whispered in my ears.
My eyes widened at what he told me. My body trembled and I can’t control my lips to quiver.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about John!” I answered him.
John tightened his grip on my neck. I don’t know what he meant by his words. What if he knew my real identity? What if Jerick get in touch with him and told him what he found out or noticed about me? I’ll be dead!
I hold his arms and dig my nails into his skin.
“If you won’t take your sharp thing into my skin, I’ll make sure John, I won’t forgive you!” I warned him.
After that, he let go of me. I quickly stood up and shouted at him.
“What do you know? Tell me!” I asked him while holding my anger and fear.
He chuckled.
“You only have one day here inside Anika’s office and house! Go back to where you came from and get lost, you fake!” His voice rumbled like thunder.
My eyes widened and stepped back away from him. I could see how mad he was and frustrated at me. He let go of the scissors in his hands and kneeled in front of me and cries out.
“I don’t know what you did to Anika but please get her back here! I miss my best friend and sister.” he continued sobbing.
My mind can’t take it anymore. I shook my head continuously.
“I don’t know. I am Anika. I am here and I’m not fake!” I told him trying to save myself from the danger he might cause.
I quickly ran away from him and pulled the sliding door out from Anika’s office.
I ran as fast as I could. All of the staff are looking at me. Some asked me if something is wrong. I have been found and the only person who can help me was Argus Mateo.
Jerick POV
She can’t fool me. That woman, I knew from the start that she’s not my past girlfriend. How can she do that? And where is the real Anika? I need someone who can help me and it’s the person closest to her.
“Jerick?” He mumbled while he opened his gate for me.
This is my opportunity to talk to him about her. I knew how cold and hard to please Anika was to everyone so I was very surprised how Argus took her into his house.
John glared at me. I know he won’t accept me as a friend or anyone else for what I did to her friend but I am here to see him because I want to help him and the company.
“I know you’re mad at me John but it’s all in the past,” I said.
He crossed his arms on his chest and raise his eyebrows at me. John is a guy with a girl’s heart. He was mad at me but we were good friends in the past.
“Remember the time I told you about my plan? You keep it at Anika. It’s your fault you hide it from her where she was your best friend!” I said.
“I just want to make her happy! I want to be happy on her wedding day and I had no idea that you mean what you’ve told me!” He replied trying to stay calm.
I stood up and walked closer at John. Maybe it’s time for him to know the truth. That his lovely friend Anika was gone and they’re talking to a stranger.
I lean closer on his ears.
“You know that the Anika you saw inside her office isn’t her?” I murmured at his ears.
He suddenly stood up and face me. He was surprised by my revelation.
“What do you mean by that? How can Anika be fake?” He asked me like he can’t understand what I am saying.
I nod my head.
“Yes, it’s true! I met her for the second time and I am sure that she’s not her!” I said firmly with my voice.
Instead of believing me, he burst out in laughter. He doesn’t believe me.
“You’re so funny, Jerick. How can I trust you? You left her even you knew that she loves you so much! You just want to ruin her life!” He shouted at me.
He forcibly pushed me out of his house.
“Get out of here. I don’t need to see your face or even hearing your stupid stories!” He pushed me harder until I reach his gate but I stop.
“Just trust me! She’s not allergic to seafood! Anika is allergic, right? I went to Argus’ house and we met there.” I told him everything.
This gay should listen to me if he wants his best friend to come back.
“She was at Argus’ house? Why? I never thought Anika would entertain a guy for how many years she stays alone and cold-hearted because of YOU!” He’s berating me again.
I took a deep breath.
“See? I told you. She’s not her and we must find out what she did to her and how can they be so alike!” I told him.
He stops and thinks about what I said to him.
