I texted back. I made an answer to myself what is best to do.
Me: I’m coming. Let’s talk!
I quickly took my bag and phone with me and I told Denise not to worry about me.
“I have to meet someone. It’s okay, I can handle it!” I informed her and I ask Sebastian to drive me there.
While at the road, he broke the silence between us.
“Hey, be careful with John. He knew Anika very well!” He warned me not to trust Anika’s assistant.
I shifted my attention to the rearview mirror to see his expression. Sebastian seems kind and humble to me but there is something in his eyes where a secret is hiding within.
I shrugged and sigh.
“You don’t have to tell me” I simply said.
Finally, we arrived at Argus’ apartment, and I told him not to wait for me anymore.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked me again.
I sigh.
“Yes,” I replied.
He didn’t utter a word and left.
I went inside the elevator and press on the 5th floor where he was staying. I don’t know what’s in his mind but I have to meet him for me to know what’s on his mind.
I search room 505. I never thought that he had golds in his pocket. I stopped at the front door and I knock three times until a tall and handsome guy appeared in front of me. Well, no other than Argus Mateo.
“Come in” he seems fine. He’s not pissed or anything. He smiled at me like a special guest.
“Have a seat” he added.
I walked near the chair he offered and make myself comfortable. I put my bag on my lap.
He sat too in front of me. He looks formal and serious. I can’t tell if he’s going to kill me or not.
“Well, I called you because I have a plan and you’re the one who can help me!” He said.
I frowned and was confused.
“What do you mean by that? What plan?” I asked him.
He came near me and I was a little unprepared.
“Fake Anika or what’s your name again?” He asked like a jerk. I didn’t like it but I had to be good for him trust me.
I raised my eyebrows and smirk at him. I wanted to act like Anika, so cool and powerful.
“You can call me Ariana!” I answered back.
He nods his head and believes me.
“Ariana, may I ask if it was you who attack me last time with Deborah?” My eyes widened how he knew that incident.
“What do you mean? Don’t tell me you’re the lycan who attack me?” My tongue slipped so quick. I covered my mouth.
He chuckled.
“Yes, so you are telling me that it’s you and not Anika? You mean you’re a werewolf too?” He asked me.
I don’t have a choice but to tell him the truth. Right now I don’t know went to start and how I will start my mission. It was like sailing in an opposite river, the one with water and with the land.
“Yes, it’s me” I softly said.
He stood up and walked around me, studying me.
“How clever! But do you know what there doing is bad? I badly wanted to meet their Sangria Luna and planning to crashed her with my bare hands!” Those words put shivers on my spine.
Until now I had no idea what is he trying to tell me. I don’t know about their problems because I just came here by accident. Why I was the one to sacrifice.
I closed my eyes to calm myself. I am trying to be brave in front of him. I am not the Ariana from the past who always begs for someone’s mercy. I am not going back to being a slave. I like it here. I am sorry Anika but I stop here. Whatever happens to me in the future, it’s my choice even I hurt other people. They have been cruel to me even my parents sold me jewelry. I must survive in this cruel world.
“You can’t kill me! The Anika you badly wanted to see was out there back in the year 1970. I am now her replacement, her duplicate!” I shouted at him but he quickly clamps his hands on my neck tightly.
His eyes were full of anger and frustration.
“I want the real Anika. I’ll do everything to make her back! I think she’s more fatal but true to herself!” He said and loosened the grip on my neck.
He went back to his chair as nothing happened. I thought he was falling for me but why he’s still looking for Anika?
“I am Anika. I know you love her but I am here now!” I stood up from my chair and cupped his face.
I kiss his lips softly at first. He didn’t budge an inch so I decided to kiss him again and now harder and passionate. His lips aren’t moving but I was the one who takes the lead until I felt his lips were kissing me back.
“I like you, please forget about her. I can be good to you!” I said in between our kisses.
He took off my face and we both caught our breath. Our eyes met and I could see the lust in his eyes. Now he’s becoming aggressive and torn my dress like he’s too excited to have me.
“Wait, stop!” I told him. I felt shame in my body. I still feel Arem’s touch the night of our honeymoon.
I can’t explain why I’m still thinking about him. I chose this new life even I betrayed Anika. I made up my mind.
“Please, just be gentle!” I said and he carried me into his bed.
My eyes were filled with vicious imagination as he was taking off his t-shirt and pants. I can’t imagine how God created him. He’s so perfect and got with those six packs abs. I gulped my saliva in excitement when he took his boxer off.
He crawled on top of me and his hands started to rip my skirt.
“You’re so hot to be her!” He murmured in my ears. I felt wet in between my legs.
I let him took my body. He spread my legs and about to thrust his hardness to my core when his phone rings.
“Fuck!” He mumbled.
“Please l, don’t stop!” I beg for him and his phone keeps ringing so he had no choice but to answer it.
“I’m so sorry but it’s late. Shall we do it tomorrow? This is urgent Ariana!” He’s pissed too and not satisfied with their bed scene but for Argus, women come second when it comes to working.
Ariana took a deep breath and got up from his bed. She glared at him and took her bag without even saying goodbye.
King Theus and his armies went to visit King Darius in the Valkyrie Kingdom but they had no idea that they went to Salem to visit Ariana’s parents.
Only August, Fox, and Red were left behind, and that what’s made him mad. He doesn’t trust Anika whom they know by her name. Still, the packs of Marco are inside the dungeon and only waiting for the time to attack the armies using their werewolf form. Marco planned it before they became captives for months.
Flashback…
“Alpha Marco, the enemies are approaching!” Rahal built a link between them.
All of them went hunting while Marconi separated ways to hunt I his own. He heard Rahal’s voice inside his head. He stops and concentrates.
“Wait, tell Leez, Archie, Greg, Hok, and Taz to stay where they are! I have a plan. Just let them catch you!” He ordered his Beta Rahal what to do.
Rahal couldn’t get what’s inside their alpha’s head but an order is an order. It’s a big crime not to follow their King.
“Yes, my Lord. I’ll tell them to stay quiet until the time comes!” Rahal softly said.
Marco took a sigh and prayed for his pack’s safety.
“Please, stay alive all of you for me Rahal!” the last words he spoke after cutting off the links between them and hid behind bushes and witnessed how his packs caught by the Valkyrie armies.
“Just wait and follow what I said Rahal and all of you will be fine” Marco whispered while finding a place to rest and spent for the hight.
End of flashback

“Hey, what are you thinking there?” Karl sat beside Marco from the outside of the inn.
He turned his head to met his gaze and set the same look on his face, smirk.
“I am thinking if our plan will works. Can we kill King Darius tonight? What if someone knew about our plan?” He asked him.
Karl met his eyebrows and took a sigh while fidgeting his fingers. Even Karl felt anxious about their plan.
“I don’t know. Let’s hope for the best. What about Arem? The real Ariana’s husband? He told us that he knew where his wife’s parents are staying. Do you think we can trust him? ” Karl asked Marco.
He just shrugged his shoulders and got up.
