Sarah slowly went inside her brother’s and sister-in-law’s room. She opened the paper above the table while feeling her fast heartbeat. She read the paper until her eyes widened and she almost dropped her jaw after she realized what she read on the paper.
“Stupid brother!” She uttered as she put the paper on her chest.
She cannot believe that Luna will hide her situation from the family. She is 1 month and a week pregnant but, no one in the family knew about this. She never said a single word or let them feel her situation. She was hurt because of what Luna did, but what hurts her more is that Luna is suffering inside, and no one knew that especially her stupid brother.
Tears started to fall from her eyes. She felt sorry for Luna because she knew that something was wrong with her since her brother never went home yesterday. She was really mad because of her brother. He kept acting like a child again. He did not even think about what Luna might be going to feel if he left her hanging without a word.
She was about to leave the room when she noticed the phone Luna above the bed. She thought that Luna forgot her phone because she is in a hurry but when she was about to turn off the phone, she accidentally read a text message from an unknown number and saw a photo of her brother. Her hands started to tremble as her knees started to feel weak.
Your husband is here. If you want to save him, meet me at xxxxxx address. Do not tell anyone or I will kill him without a second thought. His life is at risk.
In the living room, Alina and her husband were taking their time talking to each other about Maximus and Luna. They notice that what Maximus is currently doing is not good for him and his wife. He is not a child to do whatever he wants just because he is mad. He has to think of his wife too. They both stopped talking when they saw Sarah running towards the house door.
Sarah hangs her bag and puts Luna’s phone and the pregnancy test result she saw on the table. She needs to go to his office and talk to him about what she found out or else his brother will regret everything he did. However, she does not know if Maximus is still abroad.
Never mind, I will just ask for Mister Sun’s help.
“Sarah? Where are you going? It is late and it is dangerous to go outside” Alina asked her daughter after seeing her in a hurry.
“I will punch my brother,” Sarah said and greeted her teeth. She is really mad because of her brother.
She pitied Luna for marrying her hardheaded and sometimes stupid, childish, and heartless brother but she knew his brother well. Luna was Maximus’s first love, so she knows that Maximus left to think and breathe but why does it have to be so long. She did not understand her brother.
Damn, bullshit, stupid brother! She thought.
“Sarah, be careful. Bring the toughest bodyguard with you” her father reminded. Sarah rolled her eyes.
“I know what to do Dad, I am a black belter, remember?” she said as she grabs the car’s key and runs fast towards her car.
Sarah drove her car like it is about to fly but it does not matter to her. For now, all she cares about is Luna’s life because she is in danger and her brother does not have any idea what is happening to his wife. She needs to save her. She tried to contact her brother, but he kept on ignoring her. He keeps on ignoring his whole family.
“Sir, please bring me to XXXX,” Luna said to the Cab driver.
The cab driver looked at her with a confused reaction. The driver thought something about her, so he asked her.
“Ma’am, why are you going to such a dangerous place late at night?” The driver was worried about her. He knows exactly what kind of place they are heading. There are a lot of thugs around the street. He is worried that a beautiful woman like her will be in danger.
“I am going to meet my husband. He sent me the address” Luna smiled at the driver.
She is telling a lie. She does not want to bother the Cab driver, so she said that he is going to meet her husband, but the truth is, she needs to save him. She was excited to meet Maximus and tell her that she is pregnant. She missed him so much and she wanted to hug and kiss him when they met.
“Why did your husband want to meet you there? Are you sure that is the right address because that place is dangerous especially to a woman like you” The driver wanted to stop her and bring her back to where he met her?
“Do not worry, mister. I will be fine” She continued smiling at him and assuring him that everything will be alright, however, deep in her heart she is afraid that something might happen already. Her hands were trembling because of that thought, but she needs to stay calm and positive because she knows that her husband will be there.
When they arrived at the location, Luna paid the Cab driver and left to face the said street in front of her. There is only one streetlight at the corner of the street, so it is dark along the way. Luna heard a cat noise as she walked forward.
Luna started to get worried when she saw the place.
Is this really the right address that the unknown number gave? She thought.
She tried to check her phone inside her pocket, but she remembered that she forgot to bring her phone along.
She swallowed when she saw a three-figures walking towards her. There are two men and one woman coming towards her. She recognizes the woman when she shows her face.
“Liza?” Luna asked when she recognized her face.
