When Luna and Maximus got home, Maximus opened the car door for his wife and carried her inside their room. He was still worried about her wife to the point that he did not want her to do anything.
“Maximus, I am fine. I am not hurt” Luna said and laughed because of his husband.
Maximus was always like this whenever he got worried about her. He will not let her move on her own. The doting level increased and sometimes she cannot do anything about it because Maximus acts like her servant. That is how Maximus treats his wife. He treats her like a Queen.
“Are you sure?” Maximus asked.
He sat on the bed while carrying Luna on his lap. He was looking at her trying to examine every corner of her eyes if she was lying.
“You always made me nervous,” He said and slowly put his head on her shoulder. He held her wife firmly. He does not want to let her go because she is his only weakness.
“I am so sorry,” Luna said honestly and kissed her husband’s forehead.
They both took the bath and went to bed. They are going to talk about what happened to her at the party. She needs to tell everything to her husband before he investigates without her knowing because even if she makes a lie, Maximus will still find out the truth.
Luna put her head on Maximus’s chest while her eyes were looking outside the window. Watching the stars above the sky, she sighed and started talking about Shawn and Liza. She once told him about her past relationship with Shawn and Liza before their marriage because Maximus wanted to know all about her.
Maximus was happy that Luna did not lie about Shawn and Liza because he already knew the truth. He just wanted to test his wife if she is going to lie or not. Maximus hates lying.
“Shawn approached me during the party when I was about to go to the restroom. He told me that he finally remembered everything, and he wanted me back. Maximus, I am scared because Liza might do something to separate us because of what happened at their engagement party” Luna said.
Maximus looked at her wife with big eyes because he did not expect anything like that.
“Did he really want you back?! That damn Shawn…” Maximus asked and Luna nodded her head.
Shawn did not even consider his wife’s status and just recklessly asked her to come back to him.
Did he forget what he said to him before? Maximus can clearly recall how Shawn said that he doesn’t love her, he does not want to see or heard anything about her. He was even pissed before because Luna always ran towards him begging for his love, but he ignored and left her.
Now that Luna was now his wife, Shawn does not have any right to ask and beg her to come back. After all, he left her without hearing her reasons. He even throws her aside. His wife suffers more than him.
“If you decide to file a resignation at the Lucas hospital. I will build a large hospital for you” Maximus suddenly thought.
He knows that there is a high chance for Shawn to meet his wife in the future at Lucas hospital because Shawn recently became one of the doctors there. Thinking about it, he cannot avoid but worry more.
“What? No way. You will waste a lot of money on me. I will not let you do that” Luna said then laughed. Her man is really crazy.
“I am just scared that he might take you away from me,” He said honestly.
“Then you must hold me tight and never let me go” Luna giggled. Maximus smiled looking at his wife’s beautiful face. He caressed her hair and kissed her forehead. Her wife sleeps peacefully in his embrace.
In the morning, the whole Frost family was having breakfast when they saw Maximus arrive carrying his wife like a newlywed couple. Sarah almost spills her tea because of what she saw. She rolled her eyes at her brother and sister-in-law.
“Oh, come on! Give me a break. Why are you always like that during your day-offs?” She asked while looking at the couple with raised left brow.
The whole family laughed because of her reaction. They know that Sarah does not have a boyfriend that is why she always acts like bitter melon.
“Then, find a man that will also dote on you and stop being bitter” Maximus said. He put his wife on the empty chair beside him.
“I do not want to be doted, brother,” Sarah said and continued eating her food.
“I know this is so sudden, but may the family know why Liza was furious last night?” Alina asked.
The mood in the dining room changed when she asked about what happened last night at the engagement party. The couple looked at each other until Maximus nodded and decided to explain to them what happened last night.
“Luna was so pretty last night that it made Shawn remember his memories,” Maximus said and sip his coffee.
Everyone almost drops their jaw, especially Luna. That is not what they wanted to hear. Can he be more serious at a time like this?
“We know that Luna is beautiful but … really brother?” Sarah rolled her eyes. His brother was crazy and headed over heels with his wife.
“Let me explain, then,” Luna said and looked at everyone’s eyes.
Luna thought that she needed to tell them about Shawn and Liza too. After all, they are now her family and she trusts them.
“Shawn is my ex-boyfriend and Liza is my best friend. Before our breakup, we got into an accident because of Liza. She likes him a lot, so she did everything to have him. Shawn got amnesia and clearly, did not remember every single detail about me and left with Liza. And… last night, he remembered everything…” said Luna. Everyone was surprised
The family nod in unison. They even expect that there will be trouble in the future especially Maximus and Shawn will probably fight over Luna.
“… but I do not love him anymore” Luna smiled.
