Gregory laughed at him again. He felt strange why Kent was acting like a loser and a broken-hearted man.
“Do you love her?” Gregory asked him out of curiosity.
Kent nods his head.
“Yes, my love for Lucy stays here!” He said by pointing his fingers at his heart.
“Even I got married, she never left my mind. Even I’m studying in States, she’s my inspiration.” He opens up to his friend. Gregory was shocked to hear it.
In his thoughts, Kent was lucky to find a girl like Lucy. The first time he met her, stalking her outside her old house, following her everywhere, he developed a one-sided love for her. What if he will tell Kent about his feelings for Lucy? Will he support him and accept his feelings towards his first love?
Gregory POV
“Kent?” I called him.
I had to tell him what I feel for Lucy. He’s done with her. He will take their baby and he hurt her. What else can he do? Besides, he’s a married guy who had everything. The company, a wife, and a son. Why wasting his time to tell me that he still loves her despite the terrible things he made to her?
“I’ll take care of her. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of Lucy for you. I will help her to erase you in her thoughts and heart —-” his huge fist quickly landed on my face before I finish the talking.
It’s a perfect blow and my face turned red from his sudden punch. I have cupped and caresses it.
“Why did you hit me?!” I yelled at him. The waiter was startled too but I gaze at him and sign him that it was okay.
“No one can take her except me, Greg. She’s mine! Lucy is mine!” He shouted at me. I just help him to go home. He’s not in the right mind so I let it slide but the next time he punches me again, I’ll make sure Kent Oliver Stone will go to jail.

The Hera Villa
“Attorney Van, meet Lucy, Austin’s biological mom.” Eloisa introduced her to the lawyer but Lucy just wanted to make it quick. The more they stay here with Austin, the more she felt broken inside.
A smile came across Lucy’s face.
“Hi, well can you show me the adoption paper so that we can end this quick?” She asked their attorney and he quickly took it from his bag.
Lucy read it and she saw nothing bad about it so she quickly signed it without any hesitation.
Eloisa noticed her excitement.
“Wow. You amaze me, Miss Mason. Why not, 2 million dollars is a jackpot. Well, thank you, Atty. Can for assisting us today.” Eloisa mumbled but Lucy didn’t want to talk to her.
She’s not done yet with her. How can a best friend betray her best friend? She’s ambitious and she gets what she wants.
“Thank you, Atty.” Kent looks like attending a funeral. He’s not talkative and attentive towards them. He still thinks about Gregory’s words that he will help Lucy to smile again. But he didn’t know why he still thinking this way but what’s in his head now is, he’s confident that whatever will happen tomorrow or the next day, she will still love him. He was sure that Lucy won’t forget him, especially that her son was with him and Eloisa.
Ten minutes later
Lucy POV
I feel free.
I did great today.
I log in to my bank account and I saw the 2 million dollars on it. I’m rich now. No Kent, no Austin, no father in my life. I felt happy.
I must be jumping right now in joy because everything went back to normal. No more scandal, no media, and no more sex but why, why I felt down and broken? I must be smiling but why I was crying?
It was my fault in the first place so maybe I was being punished by heaven. If I stop Kent from hitting me if I stop seducing her if I followed my dad’s advice, maybe my son is still with me.
I sniff and make a soft sob inside my room. I miss my baby. I miss Austin.
My eyes won’t close even it’s late and I felt anxious at this moment. I feel strange. I’m in grief for sending my son to them and putting all the rights to them. I’m a bad mom. Yeah, I’m not a role model.
“Baby, please stay there and grow like your father,” I mumbled, and my drowsiness is now taking over me when I received a call.
“Hello” I answered on the other line.
“Do you know Rafael Mason? This was the only number we found on his phone when we rescued him!” The caller told me.
“Yes, I’m his daughter. What about him?” Even I didn’t know the answer yet, my body is now shaking.
Something bad happens to my father, I guess.
