She doesn’t want to remember it again but every time he sees Maximus, her dreams keep on coming back.
“Are you sick? Your face is turning red” Maximus asked when he saw Luna’s face turning red again.
Maximus did not know the word “blush” so he thought that Luna was sick.
“No! I am not!” Luna shouted. She froze when she realized that she did something wrong.
“I-I am sorry” Luna bowed her head and asked for forgiveness.
Maximus looked at her. Luna did not know what Maximus is currently thinking.
“Maybe you are on your period” Maximus said casually.
Luna blushed again.
Can he really have said something like that without feeling embarrassed? How can he say that? She thought.
“I am not on my period. It’s just that I had a dream last night” Luna explained. She avoids looking at Maximus because she felt embarrassed about her dreams.
“Dreams? Tell me about it” Maximus already knew what dreams she was talking about, but he wanted to hear it from her to confirm.
“I do not want to talk about it. I wanted to know what happened last night” Luna doesn’t want to tell her embarrassing dreams to Maximus.
She cannot tell that they were kissed passionately in her dreams last night. Why the hell will we do that?!
“Why do you want to know about it?”
“I am curious about it” She really wanted to know what happened last night so she can also tell Sarah.
“Do you really want to know about it? You will curse me if I tell you”
Luna thought that maybe what happened last night was really embarrassing but she still wanted to know about it.
“I won’t, so tell me now”. Maximus’s starting to get mad.
Maximus stopped the car and faced Luna. Luna started to see Maximus’s way of looking at her was changing.
Maximus gave her a mysterious smile and leaned closer to her. Luna started to panic. She gulped when she thought that Maximus was serious.
She saw Maximus looking at her like this. Her heart started to race faster. She even started to think of any scenario that might happen including things that she should not think about.
“Last night …” Maximus started talking with a seductive voice. He looked at her eyes and when he saw her curious face, he grinned. Luna felt like she was being seduced by Maximus’s eyes. She cannot avoid looking at him.
“Last night, you’re drunk”
“Then?”, Luna said while panicking
“Then, you kissed….”
“Oh my God”, Luna said with a surprised reaction. “So it’s not a dream. We kissed. Passionately.”, Luna’s blushing again.
“Yes”
“How?!”
“Like this” Maximus suddenly pulled her and sealed her lips with a kiss.
Maximus kissed Luna.
Luna was surprised. She wanted to push him off, but Maximus held her arms. She did not react afterward. They gently kissed for seconds. Her feeling of loneliness faded away, the sadness, the pain… everything went away.
After their second kiss, Luna froze while looking at Maximus. She realized it after remembering that event, as she thought it was just her dream. It was not a dream because it really happened last night.
“S-so it is not a dream?” she asked unconsciously. She does not know what to say.
He smiled. He hugged Luna and told her what he wanted to say.
“It is okay,” he whispered. He even wishes they did that thing, but he has respect for her.
He then fixed his necktie and continued driving.
“Want to do it again? Do not worry I will not retaliate” Maximus teased her.
Luna blushed. She immediately swayed her head on the right side because of embarrassment. She wanted to jump outside the car to avoid Maximus.
“Stop… teasing me,” she said, feeling guilty. We should not do that. Besides, I am not your girlfriend.
“Get used to it. We are going to get married after a year after I became your boyfriend”
“B-but it is my first time” Luna stuttered.
“It is also my first kiss. You are lucky that I gave it to you last night” Maximus said proudly. Luna did not notice Maximus was also blushing because he realized something. For girls, their first kiss was very important.
“I thought you were a clean freak. Why did you kiss me? Are you sure that you do not have any infectious disease?” She asked him.
“I’m neat and clean. I’m more concerned about my hygiene. Besides, I don’t mind if you are dirty, that’s all”.
She knows that Maximus hates dirty things because she believed that Maximus values cleanliness when it comes to his surroundings and himself.
“Whatever. I also have hygiene in everything, so I do not carry diseases. And thank me because I know how to be a doctor even though I am still not officially stated as one”
“I know, that’s why I wanted to hug you more”, he smiled.
Luna suddenly remembered what Maximus said before, that he wanted to be in a relationship with Luna and marry her, but she asked him once before if he still loves her, but he did not respond. He said that he was interested in her. There is no assurance.
When Maximus noticed that Luna did not respond to him, he heaved a sigh and looked at her. He needs to do or say something that will make Luna better. He cannot allow himself to be the reason why the woman was sad and confused. He needs to make sure that everything will be fine.
“I am serious when I said that I wanted to be your boyfriend and marry you,” he explained in a serious tone.
“But you are not sure about your feelings. You cannot even tell if you like me or not. I cannot just agree with your decision. In fact, I don’t even know your true intention” Luna hugged herself when she felt the sudden changes in the atmosphere inside the car. The mood started to change when Maximus brought up the topic of marrying her.
Maximus parked his car on the roadside. He felt pain for Luna’s words.
“I am sorry if you misunderstood my good intention,” he said calmly. “I always see you crying because of my friend but you keep on running towards him despite being rejected. I always thought and I always wanted to ask you if you are not tired because I am tired of seeing you crying”
