After Grace calmed down, she took Lisa to Cristian’s ward to meet him.
Lisa entered behind Grace and saw Cristian. He was sitting on the bed and his head was wrapped with bandage. Grace told her, he got six stitches on his head.
Cristian was surprised, seeing Lisa. “Lisa.! You’re here.!” He said in disbelief.
“Yes” Lisa smiled and walked towards his bed. She stood beside him and asked, “How are you feeling now?”
“I am fine, Lisa. Actually that night…” He paused and looked at his sister. Grace understood his gaze and the next moment she said, “Brother I am very tired. I should go home and take shower. I will come back after dinner okay. Until then you two have a great time, bye.” She kissed Cristian on forehead and hugged Lisa than she left hurriedly.
Lisa pulled a seat and sat beside his bed. Both fell into silence and the atmosphere turned very awkward. Lisa sighed and said first, “Cristian, that night you got hurt because of me… I don’t know how to thank you.”
“No need Lisa. Remember you told me there is no sorry and thank you in friendship.” He said with a hope in his eyes.
“Friendship.?” Lisa looked at him and hesitated.
“Are you breaking our friendship?” He asked sadly. Lisa didn’t answer him and looked away.
“Is it because of the kiss.?” Cristian asked.
“I..” Before Lisa could react Cristian said interrupting her. “Lisa, it was a moment that I kissed you. I am really sorry it won’t happen again I promise.!” He held her hand “I can’t loose you too.” He pleaded.
Lisa wanted to talk to him about his dead wife and his sister’s concern, but when he pleaded in front of her helplessly she understood that somehow she had been filled in the place of his heart where his wife used to be. He lost her and now he didn’t want to lose her too. She couldn’t speak, she felt so hurt seeing him in this condition. So, she just simply nodded her head in yes.
“Did you forgive me?” Cristian asked in disbelief.
“Yes, I did. We are still friends Cristian. Let the past stays in the past.” Lisa answered him after a while.
“Okay, great.” Cristian said happily and once again the charming smile came back to his face making him alive.
Lisa looked at his charming smile and thought after he will recover than she will distant herself from him slowly.
Cristian waved his hand in front of her face. “What are you thinking?”
Lisa shrugged her shoulders and said, “I am hungry. Let’s eat.”
“Okay” Cristian nodded.
Lisa stood up and went to the canteen to bring some food. For Cristian, she took chicken soup and for herself she took a sandwich and a juice.
In the ward, Lisa set the table and put chicken soup on it. She then asked concernedly, “Do you want me to feed you?”
Cristian chuckled and said teasingly, “Lisa I got stitches on my head not hands. I am perfectly fine to eat.” He then waved his hand showing her that it’s absolutely fine.
Lisa smiled and gave him thumbs up. Then Lisa sat on the sofa and ate her sandwich quickly, she was starving actually. The taste of sandwich and juice was not good but still she ate and drank it to fill her hungry stomach.
Unlike the sandwich, that Augustus gave him at the hospital was so delicious and the juice was also freshly squeezed. She can’t help but again remember Augustus, no matter what, he can always reached in her heart. She sighed sadly.
Cristian saw sadness in her eyes and asked worryingly, “Are you ok Lisa.?”
“Hmmm”
“What’s wrong with your leg.?” He frowned looking at the bandage.
“Nahh…. it’s nothing I slipped. Just a scratch.” Lisa said finishing her sandwich and threw the garbage in dustbin.
Cristian finished his soup and than both started chatting happily. Lisa always felt very better when she talked with him although they did not talk about any personal things but just normal business, hiking talks. After Augustus and then Ted’s behavior both had exhausted her. Finally she relaxed herself being here with Cristian.

In the Apartment
Augustus’s face was gloomy and his eyebrows twitched. “What did you say?”
“Ahh…. I saw her leaving her building and took the taxi.” Lester explained hesitantly.
“Where did she go?” He asked coldly.
“Hospital.” Lester said straightly.
Augustus was holding a pen. He threw that pen hard on the table “Clink”
“Fuck Cristian Silas.!” He cursed angrily. “Did she go to meet him?” Augustus asked through gritted teeth.
“Boss, I don’t see another reason of visiting hospital. Although, I didn’t follow her inside the hospital but ….” Lester hesitated.
“Speak” Augustus barked. He was running out of patience.
“I waited for two hours outside. But she didn’t come out and then I left.” Lester said feeling frightened of him.
“You…. you mean she didn’t even go there to see him. She even stayed for a long time to accompany him.” He said, his face darkened and cold. Lester didn’t know how to answer him. So he kept quiet lowering his head.
Just then Augustus threw all the documents to the ground angrily and took off his coat and threw it on the ground too in irritation. He then walked towards Lester. Lester’s body was trembling while he was approaching him step by step.
“Pills.” Lester was so afraid. He immediately handed him pills from his pocket with trembling hands.
Augustus took the pills and went straight to his room. Looking at his back, Lester breathed a sigh of relief and felt regret of telling him about Lisa. “Lisa, this woman has really affected the Boss deeply.” Lester than cleaned the mess and slept at the sofa as usual.

Lisa spent her days indoor. It was very cold outside. She kept thinking about how to get money for his son’s deposit. This time she felt impossible to win against Ted.
One morning, Lisa woke up and received a call from a musician band member. At first, she thought it was a wrong number but soon she realized that Today is 31st December. She remembered the invitation from Giovanna. She was already very tensed, she was not in the mood to go but than a thought flashed in her mind.
Ted asked her to spend new year eve’s together what if he showed up today? She got some strange feelings and then after thinking for a while she decided to go to the party.
The band member asked her to come early so that they would be able to practice some songs. Lisa agreed. She then dressed up nicely and left her home to celebrate New Year’s Eve.
The New Year’s party thrown by Giovanna was in a high class resort. A whole garden area was lit up beautifully with large tables of food and desserts. A stage was set in the center for performances. Two small bonfires were also lit up at the corners of the garden to warm the atmosphere.
Lisa came early, as no one was around. She walked on the grass admiring the beautiful scenery. She felt so relaxed and took long breaths in the fresh air.
Instinctively, she felt someone’s burning gaze at her when she looked at the direction. A tall handsome man was approaching her wearing jeans, white shirt and a brown color jacket, step by step.
His hot burning gaze was fixed on Lisa and somehow it was melting her. She panicked and tried to run away from him. Just then a band member called her over for practicing the songs. She walked away with him quickly without turning back.
Augustus came at the resort early and as for his surprise, he saw Lisa walking in the garden alone. She was wearing black color jeans with white ruffle top and and black sleeveless shrug on it. Her hairs were braided neatly at one side of her shoulder.
She was standing at the center of both bonfire and looked like a flame goddess. Augustus couldn’t control his desire and walked towards her with burning passion in his eyes. But when he saw her purposely trying to run away from him. He cursed himself for getting caught so easily by his emotions.
“She doesn’t want you.! She only wanted that fucking Cristian Silas.. shit..!” He cursed and kicked the grass angrily.

Lisa was sitting on the chair with guitar in her hands. It’s been a long time since she played last time, it felt extremely good to play guitar again. She used to sing and play the guitar and she often posted her videos at her Facebook account but since Tom died, everything had changed completely.
She felt extremely happy while singing. She tried to manage her tone and musicians also co-operated well and praised her voice. She prepared five songs to sing tonight.
Soon, people started coming. Lisa stood at the corner and saw everyone coming in. She then realized that all the guests at the party were young men and women. It looks like Giovanna has invited all her friends. She didn’t see any matured men or women in the party. No family members invited?
